The "I know but i can't tell" is one of the most despicable attitude in life.

Nothing personal man, but if you are a grown up person either you talk and say something or you are better off by keeping it for yourself.

To be on topic, I'll speak about Football KIngdom compared to PES. :)

To be honest, that game looks awesome.
Sure, the goalkeepers seem very bad at positioning, and the AI defences seem very disorganized.

But when you see those analog-aim passes, those manual-curled sweeping longpasses, I don't care. That is the system PES should have. You can see a little cursor a short distance from the player in possession on the ground.

Also, the players can run analog, which looks awesome aswell. It is just a huge difference going from watching a video of Football kingdom, to seeing PES players turn 45 degrees all the time. The change is so abrupt and crude it's almost ridiculous.

And Football Kingdom was released in 2004.

I just wish KONAMI would get their heads out and give us the freedom to pass in any direction, run in any direction, and have any power to passes, longpasses etc. You now, like in REAL LIFE... I don't see the point of giving us more detailed animations, when the players still move like they are on train tracks.

And someone mentioned Football Kingdom was more arcade than PES. TBH, what is more arcade. Forcing users to play with the Digital Pad (PES), or making great use of the analog sticks, and letting you aim shots etc all on your own (Football Kingdom). Which sounds the most challenging in terms of the actual controls and gameplay? I'll agree that the shooting seems a bit off with lots of shots at full power going in.

If something doesn't happen with PES soon, I am jumping ship. I'll gladly switch to FIFA just to get an ounce more analog running or analog aiming, whether or not the gameplay is worse.

KONAMI just doesn't seem to realize that with analog aiming, passing etc, the game will become about 1000x deeper. You will have so many variations and finer detail that you are likely to never see the same goal twice. While in PES, use the "Play Again" feature in Training and watch the player do the exact same thing over and over and over again.

All they need to do is to implement Analog support. X360 has it, PS3 has it, Wii has it. Etc etc. Why not? Are they going to stick with their core gameplay features for all eternity? THey do realize people will get tired eventually right? Tired of having no control over how much power a player puts into a pass. Tired of feeling like you sometimes have no control over anything.

KONAMI, please, just do it already. You are making a football game where you can't decide how hard you want to strike a pass. Read that sentence again and tell me why you wouldn't implement it. You are making a football game where you can't strike an accurate longpass without relying on auto-aim.

Just do it and watch your game become 1000x deeper and more varied. Just use that analog-stick ffs. Who the heck will miss the gamepad when you can pass wherever, run wherever.

I just wish KONAMI would get a representative or two on these forums. Right now it's like trying to communicate with a wall. PESFan has some suggestion system, and that's about it.

I happen to have a job and a woman and a flat (provided I pay the loan back....). But you are right, i don't have supercoolpesplayerfriend who played the game for 3 days in a row.........

Dude the man started this thread to share information and then he comes up with " i have but i do not share". So what's the sense of the thread???

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

What you don't understand is that he is not telling, not cuz he doesn't want to, because he can't, Adonis said it a while back, they asked him not to say anything, and he won't, because if he does he loses a contact, so you get it?

put yourself in his position or any member of the WENB team.

You are told not to give out any information you are given, unless they tell you that you can.

what would you do?

break the agreement and tell the world, severing all ties?

You are, of course, completely correct.

I must say, it's a long time since I last played Football Kingdom and seeing these videos, I was amazed at how fluid and spectacular it looked.

But Konami prefer to script than allow real gameplay. And with so many fanboys defending Konami's scripted ways, they have no need to change, so 3 years later, and with a next-gen console to work with, they don't change.

is there any chance that Konami can get at least one more licensed German team or have EA shut them out of that also?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

must admit pro evo at times bores me, and seeing those clips of FK, it makes me want to buy a ps2 again and have some fun! also with regards to Thomas Goal's contact, if you share your news on here how the hell would your friend get in trouble? or is your friend the only person who has played pro evo 7?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

is there going to be a video next week because i herd there will be one with the psm3 mag on dvd ,is this right?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

I do wonder and have noticed that every year their becomse less and less fanboys and more cynics, a worrying trend that seems to be growing, the only thing to do then for people that dislike the game is simply to rent it and make a decision and if you dont like it then dont buy it, if enough people make an EDUCATED! decision in this way surely the sales figures will send shockwaves through Konami, if 50% of the people buy the game that bought 6 theyll know they need to get their finger out.

I do not consider myself a fanboy or a hater, i dont magically think "just because its pes its good no matter how bad it is in reality" nor do i think "no matter what they do itll never be enough" i get the game, play the game and make my own opinion as do many people here.

I'm pretty sure Konami have adopted a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" methodology. They know full well most of the people who play PES and claim to do so because they truly understand football, actually don't and are more than happy to see the same game released every year with a few glossy, tacked on features introduced.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

i must admit it is a tiny shame that pro evolution isnt as revolutionary, i remember the first pro evo and how utterly different it was to every football game around, truth be told i still play it on off occassions today because i love the shooting and the chip through ball (drools) Owen was brilliant

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

We all know that Thomas is sometimes kind of biased...but then again who isn't???

Hunderds of people are all very happy with the information he's giving fro years an which turns out very reliable...and if now for once he can't share his information with us...please have the decency to respect that...

On the other hand there are people who come here every year in the same period (with the same nick and the same agressive attitude after having been banned) and who are all agressive (you know who you are and if you don't agree with me you can PM me...).

Mods: sorry to be off-topic, you can delete this post..but i think sometimes could give Thomas a break...he's a nice guy...

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

- No more scripts, better control of the player

Does that means, no more 20 shots for your team 1 shot against you and yet the score is you lost 2-1?

happened to me against teams like inter Milan or Ajax!

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

cheers beatts but is there any truth that the video will only be the intro

My guess is that it might be the end of super-cancel.

Time will tell. If there really are no more scripts and cpu cheats, it will be a revelation.
