Just asking :mrgreen::mrgreen: .It'd be crazy to have more powerfull shots ,in PES6 it's as if they were sending missiles towards the poor keepers

You see this is the kind of colour palette I had in mind... the amazing grass.. the clothes... the crowds... (mind you it's not photoshop enhanced as you can clearly see some texture break lines)



Even if the jersey creases are static, I would always take these graphics over a bunch of cartoony jerseys that move when you look really close.

Ya see i think that looks awfull in my opinion i can see what you mean about more vibrant colours but the graphics look shite. ugly, shiney, lifeless no character i think the pro evo screens are looking really good weather or not its final stage or not they look good i think PES will win FIFA again this year. By Much? I dont know but im positive!

like a two footed tackle or throwing an elbow in there, that would be especially good if you can get away with it just like the diving

they had that in one of the fifas, you could throw an elbow, it was automatic red card, unless you turnend off cards, which was awesome, cause then it was like a rugby match, and you laughed at it for about 5 minutes... i think in that same fifa you could do a rainbow, and it was indefensible, but the over all game sucked...

The way they wrote it in the German magazine it would mean more powerful, not more difficult.

The grass looks flawless in this screenshot. Watch how the white is "painted" on the 3D grass, not just some blunt current-gen white lines. And the pitch is something you see 100% of the time you're playing.

As for the colours, compare the yellow and red to the ones in all PES2008 pics so far.

I hope harder shooting system doesnt mean simply less probability to match the goal when you shoot.
Rather I hope it means you have more way to control shots than pes 6 allows.

Shooting system should be more skill-based IMO. Skill of the gamer rather than stats of the player.
PES6 is too much oriented on: (player's stats) + (probabilistic rate based on shot's context).

I'd like this change on PES2008: more skill, less probability.

I still cannot understand why there is people that is up to bash FIFA no matter what.

Colours in that shot are WAY BETTER than in any other capture done of PES2008. That's a fact. If that makes some fanboyism arise, so be it, but neglecting the obvious is not going to change the truth. It is not about the horrible player models, colours and grass look great in that shot.

Let's be serious and accept that PES2008 won't be better at all aspects than FIFA. Now that would be a good start to find out how to improve "our" game.

...If Konami thinks pretty much like the biased comments I happen to read here, then It is nothing strange that we have had almost no changes on visuals and gameplay for the past three years... (well, not bad, but my game is better...)

no you make good points, but i dont look at the colors and get all excited. But when I see the great detail on the faces of PES, its pretty damn cool. But when the fifa guys look like zombies who are going to eat my blood, it kind of makes the other shit NOT matter... but yes maybe konami can learn some things from EA

To be fair, I have always liked FIFA's grass textures and colors better than NOKAMI's. That my friend, is all I have ever liked from EA's FIFA futbol games.

I'm sorry if any one was offended at the mockery expressed at the player models on that FIFA pic. It was just too hard to resist. :lmao:

Here's to hoping this next FIFA installment is an improved gameplay product. I will at least rent it to find out

Now, back on topic. PES2008 looks very good in my opinion and I just cannot wait to see it in motion.

I can't understand people saying the shooting is too hard (power full) in PES, have you watched football?? With the balls they have now you see some real rockets and not just from strikers, that goes for free kicks too.

More Power and less scripts and the ditch the stock high miss.

It should be down to the game physics and player stats and the shooting bar should be to do with power and not height!!

I agree - the shooting bar should always be for power. Power and placement are more or less always the first thing in a player's mind when shooting, the height is a result of the player's ability, body position etc. How often do you strike a football and think "I'm going to hit this as high as I can.......Oh it was powerful, brilliant".

most people prefer the pes jersey as they are real and resemble the real kit the arsenal kit looks fucking shite are u blind it looks like pyjamas or a cheap t-shirt. only thing that looks good is the grass, the shirts look shite not even realistic did the kit man forget to iron the shirt or what, more creases than there should be. compare pes 6 to fifa 07 fifa kit look shit no detail like badges all blured and kits look diferent than original ones , and pes 6 exact as real life designs and look much more realistic, . fifa everything over the top and released images are always better than the game ones,.
