I have updated the gameplay mod. Version 3 Alpha 8.

Made the following changes:
- Signficant changes to player positioning whilst defending. You will notice the distance between defence and midfield is much smaller with midfielders dropping into defence when needed, dependant on tactic.
- Small physics changes to the ball flight through the air and hitting the floor
- Changes to AI decision making
- Notable difference when playing Home v Away
- Notable change of how a game can flow, a team can be pinned into their own half for long periods of time
- Small tweaks to balance fouling
- Many other things :)

I find the game to be unplayable without your mod, Thank you.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could make just 2 changes in the mod,
1. Every slide tackle I make results in a foul.
2. Goalkeeper most of the time catches shots even if they are powerful shots, and they don't parry often.

Excellent fluidity of the game and finally many fouls. For the first time a CPU player was sent off for receiving a yellow card. I just find it a little too fast in pace and I would prefer the speed of the passes a little slower. Was it your choice to increase the pace and speed of your passes? Does this perhaps impact on greater fluidity of the game and dribbling?

Much harder now struggling to win the ball and stop their passing moves on world class all manual :)

Having played a few more games I'll have to go back to the previous version, not liking this latest one at all, sorry :(

Gameplay is much faster, main issue is that player identity seems to be greatly removed now in terms of passing in particular, playing against world class and even with 100 pass error the CPU is still making nearly 90% pass completion and with 100 first touch error they're controlling it perfectly no matter the speed it's passed into them :( Also virtually every challenge whether sliding or standing tackle is called a foul even if you get the ball well before hitting the player, had one called a penalty against me just now my player slid in and cleared the ball, their player fell over mind and the ref gave a penalty!

i know you are not a friend of the power shoot feature, its very weak in your gp but is it possible to get this latest gp with default powershoot strengh?
 
I only played one game so be careful with your feedback. The foul problem seems to have been solved. Excellent gameplay with the AI team covering all spaces on the field.
At the moment, in my opinion, there are two problems 1) the trajectories of the crosses are all low and tense. Sometimes even the long pass have this problem
2) CB Jockey had obvious problems on the CPU team's counterattack.

I agree. All of shooting (not just powershot) requires an overhaul in the GP.

I have been spending the last few evenings reworking some things in FMT and then improving the Gameplay Mod to utilize what has been unlocked to me ( and Anth :D ).

So today, I would like to release Gameplay Mod Version 3 Final.

What has been changed since last alpha release:

- Signficant difference between fast and slow players in terms of turning speed, reaction speed, dribbling speed and sprint speed (I had to make this change after watching the last few Swansea matches IRL and said to myself, I NEED to fix that!)
- Significant difference between good passers and bad passers (same reason as above, players like Ben Cabango can't pass but has a decent rating according to EA's db team, oh well, everyone is getting a nerf. this only takes affect contextually so these players can still play simple passes without any issues)
- Significant difference between good finishers and bad finishers (I noticed that some players who don't score IRL, can score in FC24, this is gone)
- Significant change to heading. The game has this awful feature where all headers are challenged by two players. By default, it will almost always favour a tall "strong" centre back who will immediately gravitate to the ball and win the duel. This is GONE! It is now a proper battle and whoever gets their head to it first, wins.
- First touches. I have made it so players who have poor ball control can make the odd mistake, especially when the ball is doing something wacky and spinning a lot.
- Improved AI decision making (I have to do this with every EA Update)
- Lots of other things I have forgotten! :(
- EDIT: Yes. I did change fouling from previous versions, its much more balanced now don't worry :)

i really like this mod but for me i am really missing the power shot strengh
 
but i find the biggest + are the following :
- headers are more realistic than in any other GP Mod
- first touch error is real life

little bit strange seems the Animation between walking/jogging and then starting point to sprint
