UFL [All Platforms]

I played the beta and really feel like this isn’t going to be a game I like. Away from the pitch I really like it, but on the pitch it still feels far from finished, or a game that will compete for my time as the football game of choice.

How is everyone feeling about it?

I find it very one dimensional as soon as you see what is going on in gameplay. Goals have zero variety, passes are very telegraphed and there is not really mistakes that you make. At first it looks like the game is stats based but you quickly can see it is not and has a lot of scripting especially for late goals for the team that is down by goals.

And the game will be anything than fair to play.

With that many different currencies and skins that enhance cards this will be micro transaction galore.

Yeh I feel the same.

It’s so far behind eFootball and EAFC, feels like a few generations behind to me. Really poor experience, not sure why people are supportive when clearly the game is going to be focused on team building with no offline focus.

I think people so want a competitor that they force themselves to overlook that in the current state it is way worse than efootball or EA FC.

But it is so obvious: goalkeeper have magnetic hands but then let in goals from the easiest positions. At first you think stats seem to matter but then you realize that the game just puts the team with the weaker OVR in worse positions which is not how stats should work.

But in the end it doesn't matter if your player is a 60 or 90, all the passes will be the same and even the shots have no difference.

There is no real thinking in build up play and the moment you see the leveling up and skins system it is obvious it is the same as FUT or efootballs overpowered cards just this time it's skins and they hide more from the outside what these do, so that it seems Fair to Play while clearly it is not and in the long run those who buy the most skin packs to get the most powered up skins have players in better position and win.

I won multiple games and none of them felt satisfying or like I outsmarted my opponent.

The point you made about goalkeepers and magnetic hands is so true, and the whole shooting and goalkeeper dynamic just doesn’t feel good. There no confidence when you shoot, or knowing how it will be hit/how the goalkeeper will behave.

Also agree about lack of player difference. I only can see speed being reflected, everything else just feels the same.

ohh Lord, they made a mistake, this game is not near a status to be released within a month...
I think they've reached the stage where they need to make some money in order to continue, so it simply has to come out now.

It's not for me - it feels like a FUT-themed mobile game with very little relationship to football - but that said, FC24 and those FC25 beta videos also have no relationship to football - so I think it'll actually do well. Which hopefully means it'll get better in time. (But it won't get more realistic.)

sadly a "fair" fifa 11 clone with good online servers and a fun team build game mode would be the best game in the market

and im someone who was in a crusade of playing all the old games since pes 2020 full game wasnt as good as the demo

Football gaming is so bad right now. 😞

I know FM exists but that's more for serious players who like the intricacies of managing a football club without actual gameplay. There is only one game right now that "tries" to mimic the beautiful game with real clubs and atmosphere and that game sucks, and I don't have faith it will improve in October.

I think everyone wishing them well, but the game is really poor from beta 2, and as many say, to expect it to change in a month is unlikely. Like Chris said, I agree that feels like they need to get it out now, let’s see how they do.

Forgot this is being released next week, but saw this video that shows a new event that took place last week, and the video shows new gameplay. Actually looks very different, so might be worth keeping an eye on:

the only regret will be that the UFL game will be played by all those who have never tried efootball/PES.

I know many people who neither want to try efootball nor have they tried PES. I really don't know the reason, all I know is that they say PES is bad, even though they haven't even tried once.
