The TV Show Thread

Just watched S01E01 of Mad Men, it's alright I guess. Characters seem interesting enough.

Couldn't get into Mad Men myself, seemed a bit boring, I see how other people might like it though and I may give it another go at some point.

Dexter is brilliant - probably my favourite TV show at the moment, although Breaking Bad comes close, that is also great :).

Nearly finished MM season 4 now. Having started it with S1 last month. Really like it, although not much actually happens but it's an interesting insight into that period fo rme.

Dexter is really good aswell, although after two seasons back-to-back season 3 seemed very slow. Stopped watching it early in season 3 as we needed a break. Will pick it up again at some point.

@ Dags,

I actually liked the way Rubicon "ended". Obviously I was hoping for a 2nd season,...
but the fact that it was kind of a spiders web with no end in sight and that it left so much open felt appropriate. I liked that fact that he seemed like he was a nonentity in the greater scheme of things.

Dexter Season 5 is great so far in my opinion, it's shaping up nicely :).

Chuck has been entertaining but somehow lacking compared to previous seasons, same with House.

They are the only shows on currently that I watch.

Well finished Mad Men, after a month I got through all 4 seasons. Really enjoyed it, although not much actually happens. Can't wait for the new season.

Started The Event, not sure. Seems like a Flashforward meets V without the big budget effects. I'll stick with it as I usually like these types of shows anyway, but it's a poor start imo.

I posted this on my Facebook yesterday:

Bored of "The Event" but feel I need to force myself to watch it just to see how it pans out. But the story, acting and pace is just rubbish as the show goes on more and more :(

Up to episode 9 now and it's just a whole load of meh.

Nearly finished Dexter S1, pretty good though not sure it's worth all of the hype.

I'm at epi. 6 with The Event, enjoying it, but there isn't much happening. However I can't see this lasting a whole season, let alone being signed for a second season. When you look at other shows failing to make it I wonder how this can last much longer.

Read it's coming back in Feb after a midseason break.

Contains spoilers past the first video but the beginning is amusing enough.

Been watching 'Raising Hope' this w\e, made me laugh and now I've found the deadtooth girl is part of Garfunkel & Oates (check them on youtube), very funny songs, how can she look so sweet and be so rude?

Psych was great this week, haven't seen Twin Peaks in years but still got a lot of the references\characters!

Never really watched Twin Peaks so the whole episode was a bit wtf to me, but in a hilarious wtf way. Don't laugh like this since the early seasons, I was nearly crying with the psych-out.

Jason Lee awsome in Raising Hope, Smokey!!!!! Best hair ever!
Martha Plimpton, Garret Dillahunt and Cloris Leachman also great and Shannon Woodward is hawt.

Breaking Bad - S3

All episodes were amazing (each opening scenes were spot on), this is by far my favourite season of the show. It is so well written and played by wonderful actors.

That's what I call great TV.

Cannot believe I just read about californication series 4 starting... SERIES 4!?!?! didn't realise they did a season 3 :( completely missed it...

You'll have to get Californicating then to catch up, I think S3 was the one with Rick Springfield? Very funny!
Plus Susan Sarandon's daughter, v.nice.

If you like progs with lots of drinking and shagging then yes. The opening scene is one of the best of any show I've ever seen!

It is matt, I feel like the early seasons were ages ago though, is one of that shows that you want more.
Watch the whole thing in a row must be way better.
