The TV Show Thread

Only watched four episodes so far but it's very good and similar in style and humour to Running Wilde :)

Watched the Community pilot last night.

Not massively laugh out loud funny, but enjoyable. Quite enjoyed the lead character, although he was bit of a prick. The Chevy Chase stuff was good and had an incredibly hot girl in it - whats NOT to like!

The Trip - BBC2 Mondays 10pm - Two episodes been on finding them really funny - Coogan and Brydon are so funny together. anyone been watching?

Also loving the event too

Is there anyway to watch Conan's new show in the UK?

Naah I wasn't even really aware there was a film and I certainly haven't seen it, I don't believe they're linked in any way?

Internet.

Or if you didn't want to download it I would imagine you can use a USA VPN to get a US IP and then just watch it online? http://www.tbs.com/video/conan.jsp?oid=233887 the clips seem to play ok but not the full episode. can't be arsed to switch to my US VPN to test it so I'll leave that to you ;)

Yea, I love Coogan - saw last weeks and usually catch up on iPlayer, so I'll watch Mondays sometime today.

He is good at poking fun at himself.

Anyone seen the new Partridge series on YouTube? Its 12 minute episodes funded by Fosters. First one was fucking brilliant, real return to form and for such a short 'show', so many quotable lines already.

"That was great banter" is already in the everyday conversations of my friends!

The TV show starts with him going to work in the US to find out everyone has been fired except him and he and the work is being outsourced, so not sure where it links up with the movie, I don't think it does TBH as the TV series starts from the beginning.

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - 609

Hilarious. :LMAO:

10/10

The Event is starting to get a bit 'meh' for me. The acting is so fake and it really just pisses me off.

I've always said that it reminds me if Flashforward and true to form it's turning shit, just like Flashforward. The acting's fine it's the boring story that ruins it for me.

A line on JJ Abrams' Undercovers S01E08, "Not every question has an answer."

Made me think of Lost

Edit: Just read that Undercovers has been cancelled and only two more episodes will be shown :(

Also halfway through watching Rubicon and that's not been renewed for a second season either :(

FFS, one of the better shows (if not the best from what I've seen so far) to air this year.

Really dissapointed about Rubicon. Haven't started on Undercovers yet, although I've got it ready to go. Would have thought a JJ Abrams series would have enough quality and his name to atleast let it last for 2 seasons. Is it any good?

@ Placebo,
Don't worry, we will surely have a 12th season of CSI whereby half the episode is repeats to make sure you still "get it"...

Anyone watching Thorne? It looks to be WireInTheBlood-esque with 6 episodes with two stories (3 epi. per story) based on thiller novels. Watched the first episode last night and it has a nice darkness to it.

Undercovers started well but got kinda boring I guess, each episode was the same and not much variety. Humour went a bit stale too.

Blasted through more episodes of Rubicon today, got four more to watch and it's finised.

I've never watched Alias and the other TV fan in work reckons series 1-3 are up there with the best TV he's ever watched, so I've added that to my list. Also got Eastbound & Down added as I've not seen that yet either.

Eastbound is a bit rude (language and nudity) if you don't mind that? I still like it, also 'The League' has been very enjoyable for me.
Any one watching 'The Good Guys'? A bit formulaic but I enjoy the leads and Jenny Wade is not too difficult to watch!

Hmm not heard of The League or The Good Guys, will need to check those out too.

Yeah we watch it, good harmless fun, The Glades is another good casual cop show which we really enjoyed.

Yeah Alias is very good, not quite as series as Rubicon but it's certainly enjoyable :)

Dan Stark is great and the dance in Eastbound was one of my highlights of last year! The birthday song in the League (ep 1 I think?) is one I want to learn to sing at parties!

I'm also enjoying 'The Trip' the new Coogan\Brydon 'mockumentary'?

Also, Robin Sparkles 3!!! Great ep, love the Beaver song

Rubicon finale:

For fucks sake, was the season cut short or something? What about the rest of the corporation? What about the Roy? What happened to Banford (the guy who kept helping Will)? What about Andy? Argh, it feels like they got told they had one more episode and to wrap it all up there and then.

Maybe they were hoping for a second season, but now it's left me feeling like it's far from finished and a bit annoyed.

Enjoyed the show, disappointed with how it ended.

Now, do I start Dexter or Mad Men?
