strikeforce? what strikeforce? Van Persie? he had only 2 good seasons in the PL even Berba can beat him in stats and i only talk about the time he spent in Manchester. overall those 10 RVP goals per season are not an insurance, lets face it v. Nistelrooy was the last real striker in United. in the past years Ronaldo was the real deal up front. so i wont rely on RVP since he can pick up injuries very easy and and since Chicarito and probably Welbeck will be gone.
I like Berbatov very much, but since you are talking about him beating van Persie in stats I had my doubts so I have double checked it.

Of course RVN was a great striker, but I would prefer players like C.Ronaldo, RVP or Rooney instead, because the do not only score a lot, but also assist a lot. Here are the scoring stats in PL of some strikers that also played for ManU.

For Rooney I have put in the last 10 years, just to show on which level he constantly scores / assists. He is the most important and best player for ManU in the last 10 years, imho. A lot of people hate him ,but I like him and his way of playing football.
