The Retro-PES Corner

If possible, please modify JLWE9 to High LOD. :D

I think that J.league winning eleven 9 asia championship is the best version of PES 5, gameplay-wise. My biggest wish regarding that game is if someone could make that game translated to english, and the biggest problem is that Master league is only playable with asian clubs, so if it is doable to swap/edit, something like that so that those asian clubs become like selection of best european clubs, it would be awesome to play ML like that. All in one PS2 ISO, it would be one of the best patched versions of retro PES games

The amazing thing in Pro Evolution/Winning Eleven series is that there are so many versions of them, and every version have a different tweak in their gameplay so you have to try them all to really find the best version and gameplay that suits you.

That is what it makes this whole PES/WE series amazing, and different then other games. The fact that with each version you find some other level of different gameplay you enjoy, different tweak in ball physics, etc.... amazing.

What other game series you know is doing that? I mean, look at this number of different gameplay styles and ball physics.

Hi PC users... while releasing gameplay for PES2021 and Football Life 2026, today I also want to give a gift to fans of Winning Eleven 9 Liveware Evolution (Korean market) for PC.

Download the patched version of the game, whose exe I used for the new gameplay from here:

And here are the three new gameplays to try with it:

There is no need to rename the exe files... just leave them in the game folder and launch the gameplay you want to play from there.

Please give me your feedback if you want.

enjoy
Great man. :)

Can you tell us is there a difference in AI difficulty on this gameplay tweaks?

Thx

Thats true! I have been playing 4 different PES games last month and all of them are great in their own way, but still keep the basics of football well sorted.

Recently, I've been playing PS2-era WE/PES and noticed that even in slower-paced titles like JLWE9 and WE9LE, players' acceleration, sprint speed, and dribbling speed feel excessively fast. However, when using J1 teams from the JLWE series, the gameplay feels more realistic.
It would likely improve the experience if we could use a save editor to uniformly reduce these relevant stats by 5 to 10 points for all players.

I just noticed an issue: the player faces (Zidane and Beckham) in the JLWE series are different from those in the WE/PES series—they're fake. Is this to save on licensing costs? For example, in JLWE9, which was released later than WE9 and PES5, both Zidane and Beckham have fake faces.

Does anyone have j league winning eleven 9 ps2 translated only(like player names etc) ? , I downloaded a translated version a couple of months ago but didn't play it till today and after trying it feels fantastic and a complete game from all sides and playing on my PS3 Hen and it crashes while playing the ps3 itself turns off (this happens also with jlwe8 translated )i don't understand why , while the non translated original copy doesn't crash

Sounds like you're playing on emulator, playing it in wide-screen but don't have a true wide screen patch. I've noticed some so called wide-screen patches for these games aren't true wide-screen patches and this can cause a speed alteration.
Try it in 4:3 and disable wide-screen patch. If there is a difference in speed then this the problem.
Having said that, all PS2 WE/PES games are faster paced than today's tripe so maybe it's just that you're not used to it.
I always see people mentioning lowering the speed of WE/PES, so it's either to do with incorrect wide-screen patches or everyone is getting old AF and their eyes can't keep up anymore. Never heard anyone mention WE/PES on PS2 being too fast when they got released.

@BillyKong , the version i downloaded called "hack edition" I think this is the problem , does your version translated only ? , I downloaded the original version now to test it to see if it's the ps3 hen itself or the iso

I downloaded the original iso to try it out and it worked perfectly without any crashes, and also fortunately the game loaded the previous save file which was related to the "hack edition" had all players and stadiums renamed to english

But there's an issue with Fernando's JLWE9 English patch v3 where the name on the jersey is incorrect. You'll need to restore each one to default for it to become correct.
