Right now, there's a lot of hype over a game called Heatwarped. And from what I've seen and heard, it seems to be very similar to (if not a copy of) Need for Speed Underground 2.
And I started to wonder, could someone not do something similar for PES? A modern-day version of PES 5/6? Fake players, teams, kits, stadiums, but a copy of the gameplay, perhaps slightly tweaked to add modern features like 360 dribbling and fully manual control, as well as extra animations. I came across a video this morning showing a game called Forever Eleven, which looks like an ISS Pro Evo clone, but in the modern day.
We have patches and mods, of course. But so does NFSU2, as far as I know. This is a separate entity modern-day version. Not sure how it would work, honestly. But surely there's room for such a game
Haven't you consider start making one? nowadays making a game its not that hard as 5 years ago, there's lot of open source tools that allow you to do that, such as godot, blender, etc and you do have some good graphical skills from what i remember (or maybe im wrong), even making it open source might get some interest of different people and could lead into a good working team
