The Retro-PES Corner

Guys, I'm looking for a global PES 2015 stats external editor..

I've noticed that in ML, stamina drains a bit too quickly. I'd like to increase stamina by +10 to all players but can't seem to find a global editor which changes all players' stats..

I tried the PES 2015 Next Gen Editor, but there's no option for global stats changes.

Much appreciated if you can find one, thanks! :TU:

Quick retro PES question...

Is it possible to edit league structure in PES 3? I can't see it as unlockable in the 'shop' and there's nothing I can see in edit mode.

can you, like, take the hard drive out of it and maybe plug it into another pc to access its data? i'm not really that tech savvy so i don't know if that would work
it is possible, but it requires a lot of work, that i can't do this time, since the important data on my old pc is already on the new laptop, and also has a chance that the problem is in the hard drive, which would mean that it won't work 💀

Is it possible to make it so that your created team in pes 6 can interact with the kitserver? It could be an awesome way to play the game, all kinds of what if teams or legend teams could be made through the master league.
Has anyone tried it out?

Just found this!

https://www.pesnewupdate.com/2022/01/pes-2015-editing-tools-collection.html

In this editing tools collection (not all download links are active, but some are working), there's a tool called "PES-2015-Stats-Updater-Tool-Version-1.8", which has a global editor! I was finally able to increase all players' stamina by +15. :)

In no other game I enjoy scoring a goal as much as in PES 5, especially long range shots and free kicks. It was typical for PES games of the great PS2 era. I remember when I first bought PES 3 and played for some hours until I finally scored for the first time, it felt almost as good as scoring a goal in real life :P

I was too late to record this goal so all I have is the celebration and replays:

Great goal! And I agree with you.
Other titles have better passing, better goalkeepers, in newer titles we can feel the weight of players, but in no other game scoring is satisfying as much as in pes 5 :D

Toni Kroos' assist yesterday is an example of the Playmaker special ability in PES.
From what I know Passing is responsible for goals assists the Playmaker just passes the ball around very accurately. Even a CB can have the Passer trait. Maybe Passing is responsible for great vision ? I don't know, this game is just too complicated for the PS2 era haha.

playemaker ability makes it so players around the guy with playmaker ability make better runs and take up better positions. So when a pass is played from a playmaker it appears that they have more accurate through passing but from a programming standpoint it’s the players around him that improve.

As I know Passing increases the probability to give a pass - even from awkward position - that creates directly a goal chance.

A player with the Playmaker s. ability can -probably also- gives the pre-assist goal, player with the Passing ability with be the man who gives the assist. It may also includes assist from set-pieces (corner-free kicks) unlike Playmaker ability.

I think Talisman replaced the Playmaker ability since PES 2010.

There's also the Classic n10, that could be a combination between the Tactical Dribble + Playermaker / Passer abilities in older versions.

Classic N°10 : An old-style static playmaker who makes use of the deft touches and passes rather than pace or movement

Talisman : The talisman who can drive the entire team forward

I agree I think the differences between PES5/6/2008 and then the later games center around the dribbling/ball control which has a knock on that affects the game speed and how defensive the CPU is, if you look at PES5 as an example people like the tighter games and better defending but as you said the dribbling is quicker with large steps so you lose the ball more giving that idea the CPU is better defensively. I do agree sometimes you lose sight of that these are top tier proffesional footballers who do have close control of the ball.

I recently said that In the search for the best PES5&6 hybrid I had been playing J-League Winning Eleven 2009 Club Championship which is a version that I am really enjoying and it occured to me that through all of the different mods/patches JP and Korean versions the reason I like J-League Winning Eleven 2009 Club Championship so much is not because it's the perfect hybrid but because it's different and the search for the perfect version is pointless. for the newest PS2 games people seem to like PES2013/2014 but I can never get into a groove with those games as I always think I may as well play on newer Hardware.

Is there an English patch for 2009?

I just posted this in answer to a question about Winning Eleven 9 Liveware Edition. I feel I should post it here too...

I have been playing WE9LE a lot recently having long considered PES 5 the greatest footy game ever made.

WE9LE is indeed a tweaked PES 5. Less fouls, maybe slightly more attacking AI and a few different animations. I wrote on the epic Retro PES thread about how it possibly even surpasses PES 5.

Now, having played it extensively for a few more weeks, I'm here to tell you that PES 5 is STILL the best footy game ever made. WE9LE is great but I gradually found the certain aspects is not as good as PES 5.

The shooting is not as varied. Shots tend to go centrally a lot, making it easier for the keeper save. Maybe to balance this, I started to notice that the keepers are very vulnerable at their near-post.

Also the fatigue system, in Master League especially, is toned down compared to PES 5.

And I know some people hate them, but I actually missed all the fouls and how those harsh refs make you have to consider each and every challenge.

PES 5 - THE greatest footy game from the greatest era of footy games. We will never see the likes again.
