This is not true, last season Mandzukic wasn't his replacement, but Gomez was Mandzukic's replacement (and Mandzukic played a great season, to be fair - and is also a better player to me as he's more aggressive all over the field). In the NT we also had various other starters, Klose for example. He isn't that untouchable in Germany's teams, although he's one of our best strikers.
And the answers to your other questions was already given. He was sold, because we still have Mandzukic and Pizarro left plus some youngsters or other players like Müller, who could play a "false 9". More important is thought, that Guardiola obviously wants to play without any strikers, so why would you need three plus x of them?

Albiol can't be valued more than Callejon ;) His price tag should be around 6m, he's nothing special. With 12m they can buy Ranocchia, for istance.

PIPA is right. Truth is Maicon didn't sign for Roma, since they must to sell a non-EU player to sign him, probably it will be Marquinhos.

Yeah, I know. I only mentioned it because he did sign, I just couldn't find a club link for it. Maybe it'll come up in the next days.
 
So Falcao is in Monaco, Cavani in PSG and Chelseastill need a reliable goalscorer I guess. Will they get someone big?
(I thought Abramovich would pay Cavani's release fee)
 
atm, the only 'something big' remaining that Mourinho would like to have in his team is Rooney, I guess. then there are Ibra, Higuain, Damiao, Jackson Martinez etc. I think Mourinho doesn't like Ibra and Higuain, Damiao is pretty much Napoli bound and I've seen no such rumors about a possible move for Martinez. Also, Lewandowski will go to Bayern the next season on a free tranfer.

tbh, I think that Chelsea will give their current crop of strikers (Torres, Schürrle, Ba, Lukaku) a chance and they will think about it come winter transfer window.

I didn't mean it, bro. they were short on the left back position after the departures of backups armand and tiene. they got pretty much wrapped up every other position and good backups for each as well. Marquinho right now would be a bonus (as they already have sakho and lugano there as backups), imo. :)

p.s. not sure if you meant the attacker one (marquinho or marquinhos? :ANX:) but he would be nothing more than just an option for psg's stocked attack.
