The Movies Thread

The King of Kong was really entertaining. It's funny some of the stuff these guys get up to.

the problem with that movie and with most reality/documentaries, they dont show you everything. Alot of those scenes were bullshit, go google that movie and the guy who runs the tourneys disputes alot of the filmakers portrayed...

That happens in most films

Braveheart and Pearl Harbour are prime examples of how they change films to there liking

Hang on, you think X-Files, Superhero Movie and St Trinians are better films than Slumdog Millionaire?

Come on we all know Tim has poor taste in most stuff

I mean comon he has Baby Blue and Pink control pads

I had to go see Bolt yesterday with a few girls yesterday. I thought it was quite funny and was a decent film! A really nice film to watch with your missus!

8/10

Slumdog Millionaire 9/10

A very nice movie, and very touching as well. Won 8 academy awards as well, I highly recommend it.

I watched Slumdog Millionaire last week and that get a definite 10 out of 10

I wasn't in a million years expecting anything from this film and didnt know that it was more of a City of God type of film than anything else

If you haven't seen it go see it

Whoah hold that up right there!!! I like Dev Patel he was a good actor. I just didn't think the film was all that it was hyped up to be that was all...

Going to see Knowing tonight :)).

Going to watch the early showing of Knowing. I'll leave my rating here afterwards :)

Knowing 6.5/10

Brilliant film, until the ending! I mean WTF!? Fucking spaceships and aliens. Totally ruined it imo. Like I said it was really good up until that point

Knowing - 7.5/10

Agree with Tim to a point.

What the fuck?! I wouldn't say the end totally ruined the movie but it was the same "WTF!" as Indy Jones and the Crystal Skull, completely shite and stupid ending.

Ref: Knowing

I know exactly what you guys are talking about. I was like that too, it almost tarnished the entire movie for me when the aliens and spaceships showed up. But then I thought about it afterwards and realised that the movie had to just either end - game over. lights out. end of movie. or... something out of this world had to happen, which was what happened. The more you think about it, the more you have to agree that the ending was the only ending that would work! I mean, after all, you swallowed the part about the letter predicting all future disasters... If it had been an M. Night Shyamalan movie, it would have probably made it better cos you'd have known to expect something weird at the end...

Still a f**king great movie tho...

curious case of Benjamin button.

8.5/10

Really liked this film. although it was long, it felt a bit rushed in some places.
