The Movies Thread

I need some help finding a movie name that I watched ages ago. I only vaguely remember a scene:

Basically there's a war going on, and the main character meets this other foreign woman in that country and they fall in love... he then finds out that she was helping the rebels, or enemies, but he still tries to see her.

That sounds like 'Enemy at the Gates'.

I dont think its Enemy at the Gates. The film I saw was quite contemporary, meaning it was set in Iraq or something like that. The main characters were American I think.

the reader?

edit: ignore - see you managed to trace it.

Sex Drive

My preconception of this was that it'd be awful but really made my mates and I laugh. Well worth seeing.

Spy Game is a good film, Robert Redford is in it also.

Harold and Kumar - Guantanamo Bay - 7/10

How to lose friends and alienate people - 8/10

Death Race - 7/10

Hitman - 6/10

Shaun of the Dead - 9/10

Saving Private Ryan 9/10

The movie was great, some great actions and I thought it was quite realistic.

I just feel like watching war movies today, I'm going to watch Enemies at the gate next.

Watched the following lately...
Burn After Reading... Some good parts but got a little lost in direction in places... 7/10

Mystery Train... Though an old one, 89'. I doubt many have seen it, an episodic Art House movie. Was the inspiration for Tarantino's Four Rooms... 7.5/10

The Girl On The Bridge... Another Oldie that will have passed most by, has Depp's misses in it... 8/10

OLDBOY... Been out a couple of years but still a cracking film... 8/10

Chocolate... The girl in this, Yanin "Jeeja" Vismistananda, spent 4 years training for the film FOUR YEARS. Some outstanding fight scenes. Even if the plot is a little thin... 8.5/10

Notorious - 7.5/10

Not bad, not great. Pretty sure a lot of it isn't how things really happened, I can see why Lil' Kim isn't happy with the film and her character, and the 2Pac character was just awfully wrote out and acted.

But it was interested to see how he grew up although I'd have liked to have seen more based around his music rather than his "love" life.

I watched Easy Rider tonight in my lesson and I hated it.

It didn't grab my attention at all, I dozed off four times.

The bit when Hopper and Fonda got high with the two ladies was horrible.
