The Movies Thread

Ridley Scott is set to produce a film version of hit 1980s TV series The A-Team.
'According to The Hollywood Reporter, Twentieth Century Fox intends to transform the series into a blockbuster summer film, slated to hit US cinemas in 2010.

The movie will be based on the premise of the TV show, although the Middle East is likely to replace Vietnam as the place where the soldiers served.'

Der de derr.. der der der...

Heard this today on the Radio

Remaking old series don't work when they use different actors. The whole reason they were popular was because we liked the characters/people in it

who the fuck could play B.A except Mr.T? or Murdock like Dwight Schultz?

Do one Ridley and stop spoiling our memories

Yes you did

maybe he wrote 'dummer' on purpose, just to emphasise the fact!

edit: sorry, didn't realise he was foreign. maybe he didn't but it was still ironic! :p

They're remaking the Karate Kid with Jackie Chan too.

heard that a few weeks ago - disgraceful!

supposedly, will smith's young son is playing daniel. in facet, i even think will smith is directing it.

surely, with such a young person playing daniel, it can't possibly work...

the remaking of the karate kid should be outlawed!

Frost/Nixon - 10/10

Amazing film, excellent performances all round, deserving of the Oscar for Best Picture and Frank Langella is awesome.

If the trailer and premise didn't grab you then you probably won't like it.

I'll be watching this on the weekend probably, I thought the trailer looked very good. I'm a fan of political films. I thought Goodnight and Goodluck was a great film, so I hope Frost/Nixon is a similar genre.

Imdb's only good for reading synopses about a movie and making snap judgements based on the average vote, the actual "human" element of IMDB that I've seen is a bunch of absolutely pathetic, self involved cocks, who clearly are on average a 29 year old white male still living in Mom's basement and been trying to make his own movie for the past 7 years since flunking out of film school, the comments you see from them for movies/actors are just pathetic jealous spite on the whole.

spot on :d

good to see what specific actors, actress's etc are working on atm.

People on IMDB are too serious about films

Like picking holes in the plot or moaning about acting in comedy's instead of enjoying and laughing at it

probably mickey rourke although i havent seen the film yet, a lot of the oscars is about buzz and momentum and he has that going for him for sure.

i watched benjamin button last night and i was sort of disappointed. it was good but it wasnt that good. gran torino was a much better film imo.

Benjamin Button...saw this the other day. Lasted bout 4 mins. Trailer = film

Wouldnt say it was 10/10 - but the acting was superb. I am not a fan of these films but this was pretty damned good and I would recommend any film fans to watch.

Wristcutters - A Love Story... Fantastic movie, just entertainment, great sound track and has...
