No I haven't seen Goodfellas yet, its on my hit list.
 
Guys,

Please recommend some upcoming movies to look out for, especially indie and world movies. With commercial movies, i think most people know about them.

This is so we can all know what's out there.

it seemed to me like they tried too hard at the end, i thought the twist was kind of predictable and sort of stupid. everything up to that was good though, casey affleck is a pimp.

ikiru - 10/10 - great film by the master himself

man of the year 7/10 - pretty entertaining

high and low - 7.8/10 - good film, well made but not really up to the standard of his greats though

the lower depths - 8/10 - good film with a good sense of humour about it

hidden fortress - 8.5/10 - great film, me and my friend were cracking up the entire time
 
Bangkok Dangerous - standard action/assasin stuff - 6,5/10

Madagascar2 - standard animation stuff - 7,5/10

Vicky Cristina Barcelona - chickflick - 7/10

Step brothers - turned it off after 20min - 1/10

Benjamin button - after two hours I had to turn it off, so bloody long winded - 6,5/10

Body of Lies - Good CIA stuff - 8/10

Eagle Eye - very much like Digital Fortress from Dan Brown, but better - 7,5/10

How to lose friend and alienate people - didnt have the jokes the story set it up for - 6,5/10

For the person that really enjoyed Saving Private Ryan, you should give Band of Brothers a go. Equally as good imo and its 6 dvd's long!

how is it laughable? its not as if i said "the day the earth stood still 2008 " is better then godfather. now that would be laughable but scarface? lol please, many people love scarface and would put that up againts godfather.
 
just saw NICK AND NORAH'S INFINITE PLAYLIST

7.6/10 for me. probably the best romantic comedy for a while. nice pace in the movie with some funny bits to boot too. very touchy touchy movie :)
 
I watched Cloverfield last night

7.5/10

Not bad, can't say too much as it will ruin it for those that aint seen it. I would advise you not to sit too close to the tv tho as you may vomit
 
It varies, the price depends on the title.

Generally Amazon are pretty good.
