Pineapple Express

I can only rate this as the funniest film of 2008. The final fight was hilarious.

I laughed so hard when Red ran over the black guy with the Daewoo.

i want to see all these films between now and the end of February, I'm sure there are some that I'm forgetting too. Busy times ahead.

I thought it was great (There Will Be Blood). The build up of Daniel Plainview, Eli Sunday, the score, the cinematography. Thought it all built up very well for the ending.

Taken

Very good film. After all the great things I read about it here I had to watch it. Liam Neeson was superb. :)

Step Brothers

This one was quite funny. The plot was so fucked up it was hilarious. Still nowhere as funny as Anchorman, but I suppose you can't beat that. :D

Batman Begins

Well, I only watched this because I'd told myself I wouldn't watch The Dark Knight before watching the first one. I actually thought it was a pretty good film, nowhere as good as the second though.

The Dark Knight

I thought all the hype around this was way too much, but after watching it I really have to say it's a fantastic film. Heath Ledger's performance was outstanding, really creepy at times. Bring on the Blu-Ray! :D

I caught the first one on Sky Movies not too long ago and really enjoyed it, I will be seeing the second at some stage

Got Special Edition 'Empire of the Sun' today. Just about to watch it :))

It is one of my favourite films ever!!

Transporter 3 - 8/10

Really fun film, over-the-top but pretty cool action. Statham is brilliant :D

I watched Click at the weekend. Though the first half of the film was pretty funny and relaxed (David Hasselhoff cracked me up), the second half really got to me, I felt like crying. Good film.

Might watch Pulp Fiction now, first time.

The only comment needed for Click is this:

Kate Beckinsale in underwear = win. :D

Oh and Pulp Fiction is one of the best films ever made.

Part of the Weekend Never Dies

Documentary into Soulwax, it's fucking insane. Best musical documentary I've seen.

If you liked that one, you should watch a similar documentary of French dance collective Justice on tour...i think that one is even better (and i'm Belgian so i should be biased in favour of Soulwax...)

Very good Belgian thriller (which none of you will ever see because this movie is in Dutch): Loft.

Hey Gerd, I've only seen bits of it (my *ahem* version doesn't have English subtitles and my French is a tad rusty so I've struggled a bit) but from what I've seen they are quite different. Justice's documentary is more focused on their life on tour, whilst Soulwax's focuses more on their music, how they produce it, their gigs, which I found a lot more interesting. I've ordered the both of them from Amazon for Xmas though. Thanks for the heads up mate. :D

Oh, and I ended up watching American Psycho instead last night. I thought it was pretty good (reminded me a lot of Dexter) until the last couple of minutes when I realised I had understood fuck all.

I'm going to watch The Dark Knight and American Gangster on BD tonight :)

The version of Soulwax' DVD that i bought has two DVD's in it. One concentrates (more) on live on the road and the other on the music. I think that is a special version only available in Belgium (there is also a live CD in this package). So i'm not sure which one you watched...
