The Movies Thread

Cool, I'm going to see it on Friday with the missus and her half brother, I'm not really sure whether I like these type of films but I'll go with an open mind :)).

Postal

Yeah it's pathetic watching it, I know. But I'm really amazed that Uwe Boll continues to get paid from cr*p movies. It's his trademark but someone should tell him to stop.

3/10

What Happens In Vegas

Thanks to whoever mentioned it here first. I watched it a couple of nights ago and thought it was really funny. Ashton Kutcher was awesome, I really should start watching That '70s Show again.

What Happens In Vegas - 7.5/10

I normally don't like these types of movies, and we've all this story happen again, and again, but I found the movie very sweet.

Agree with Dags on the Zohan. I actually loved it in the end. First 10 mins I wasnt too sure but then it turned out to be really fun :)

Yeah I watched Zohan on Friday, it's a good film, some funny moments :))

You Don't Mess With The Zohan

7/10

The Promotion - 6/10

Decent movie, kept a smile on my face I guess but nothing special.

During my flight from Singapore to London, I watched a total of 5 movies in a row, yes 5. It was a day flight so I couldn't sleep for shit.

21 - 7/8 out of 10. Quite a good story.
What happens in Vegas - 5/10 - Found it lame and predictable, only thing that kept me in it was Rob Cordry
Kung Fu panda - 7/10 - not bad, had some funny moments and Jack Black was great in it.
Untraceable - 6.5/10 - nice idea and pretty cool scenarios, but I think it ended too easily and the story should've gone in a different direction
Iron Man - 8/10 - Loved Robert Downey Jr, especially his last line in the movie

Get Smart - 8/10 (maybe 9)

Good storyline is a bonus, but some moments are just hilarious. Steve Carrell (or however you spell his name) is perfect for the role. Clumsy but clever, with some great quotes.

The Rock or Duayne/Dwayne Johnson proves that his excellent mic skills in the WWF can actually translate into a decent performance. He's actually a very good actor and plays the cool guy in the film.

Anne Hathaway is gorgeous in this film as well.

Definitely worth a watch.

i usually dont write here..but i had to after wacthing this movie

The Love Guru
-5/10

worst film i ever wacthed...i think i got dumer after that one.

i would give -10, but j.alba saves those -5 points

I watched What Happens in Vegas the other day

Aston Kutcher is a funny guy as is the bald guy in it

I thought Love Guru was actually alright, dumb but I knew it would be before I watched it so that's fine.

Tropic Thunder I thought was absolutely brilliant, never been a fan of Robert Downey Jr. before but now I am.

I thought he was the best part of the film.
Every person on The Daily Show who isn't Jon Stewart is a crap actor/actress and is not funny in the slightest.

I was disappointed to see the Brit off The Daily Show in The Love Guru, but at least he didn't pop up too often.

I must be the only one who thinks that being completely obvious in everything you say and being a God-awful actor isn't funny... :eh:

Even with the lack of Alba in a film, the fact that she's in it somewhere saves 5 points easily. :w00t:

exactly! :)

scarlet johansson would save 9 points making it -1/10 but eva mendes would give that piece of shit a turnaround to a 9/10 rate! :lmao:

anyways, i want to forget about that movie...those indian songs are still hunting my dreams...nightmares..no offense to the indians, that i actually like very much, but their interpretation, making fun of it was awfull.
