Excuse my complete ignorance but ive literally just seen this thread for the first time, what actually is it? I assumed it was a place where people discussed the master league/its flaws/good signings etc, have i been mislead?

Fatal FC

A new season beckons in the french league for Fatal Fc, a newly registered team who will take residence in the second tier of french football. Expectations agains such opposition are set at a mid table finish, though optimists hope at least for a cup run. With little money to spend and a frigid transfer market attracting players will be hard, but in the first season its all trial and error

ES Troyes AC
First half
* Ximelez has been put through, good shot but is saved the ball goes into the air and lads to espinas who heads it home 1-0 on the first game of the season

The coach is happy at half time being in the lead, quick passing is the key because man for man they havent the strength to compete

Second half
* Minanda sent off for two yellows, both right decisions as he tried to break up the Troyes play.

* Nervewracking final minutes see them hit the post !

A good victory in the end


Game 2
Sparta Rotterdam
First half
* Shambolical marking allows the Rotterdam forward to get 1-1 with the keeper and the keepers dive...well he dived out of the way really, a horrible start 1-0

Half time
The coach is furious beyond words because simply, the passing has been horrible, he counted no less than 15 simple passes going straight to the opposition, they will have to pick up their game in the second half

Second half
*Castollo gets a low ball in, Ordaz has an open goal...its gone wide, the coach is fuming on the side of the pitch!

*Castollo gets the ball in the box...he turns GOAL!!! 1-1 wonderful strike!!!! :applause: :applause:

Game 3
RKC Waalwijk
* Following from their inspired substitutions in the previous game Macca has taken Iouga's place whereas Burchet will partner Castolo upfront, the extra speed should help us evade that last defender!.

First half
*Burchet recieves the ball, the centre backs have run into each other, hes clean through...he only stabs at it and it goes horribly wide!

*A stupid clearence by Dodo has gone straight to the winger whos put a ball in to a man who isnt marked...1-0 horrible start with lax defending.

*Minanda, gets it to Castolo, hes made the angle really really tight..but a shot...1-1! Wonderful striker by Castolo!!

*Espimas to Burchet....burchet turns his man in the box..the shot! So far wide, the boss is beginning to regret taking Ordaz out!

*A dominant first half let down by dodgy finishing, still 1-1 is promising, and with a half left to turn things around the coach is confident in his team

Second half
*A cross from RKC finds its way to the backpost, its headed across goal and Stremer tries to stop it...its hit him and is heading towards goal...it hits the post and goes wide, a complete let off there!

*Not a lot happened in the second half, poor passing again let the side down and will have to be worked on, still undefeated in the season which is more than anyone could ask for, promotion is stretching away from us though which is a shame, a few more wins would put us on the right track.

(btw there are still spaces left in my evo-web masterleague team if anybody wants in...)

Nice Job Fatality, only thing I would have changed is the transfer frequency, I usually put it on medium, as i feel High is a bit extreme, every team seems to buy for no reason,

but none the less great story

I might start one myself with the same layout as urs if you dont mind?

By all means good sir by all means, yeh i was just thinking, the key to getting anything out of the season would be what i do during the transfer period, i need at least one striker, one cm and one winger, if i have those im very confident i can get promotion, witht he current system id have to pay thrice the price for those types of players...perhaps a move to medium is best.

Game 4 - AS Nancy Lorraine
Top of the league team which is a worrying prospect, we currently reside in 3rd place, a draw is the hope, a win is the dream, but it will take a lot of work to achieve that.
Burchet and Macco keep their places though Ordaz is knocking at the door.

First half
* Ximilez gets some room on the left, he does a fake and has found space to run diagonally at goal, he does, the keeper comes out, the shot just wide!

*AS are really not putting up a show today, they have 1 up front
and 9 back to stop all play, they know we are good for a goal in a game so they seem to be looking for a draw

*Minanda finds Ordaz in space, he's beaten the offside trap and has the goal to his left, takes a shot, the keepers beaten...skims the bar and goes over!

*First attack of the half for AS, and Iougas made a foul...there was no foul there at all, the freekick comes in..a head 1-0 the keeper didnt even move for a slow header awful end to the first half completely undeserved!

*Bad half, bad goal, things couldnt be worse, may aswell try to get something so we go 4-3-3 in an attempt to get something.

Second half
* Macco finds room on the outside of the box, gets it into ordaz who turns his man, he shoots! 1-1! wonderful goal, they have a nack for scoring around this time every game..now can they finish one for once!

AS are happy to pass it among there back 4 for the rest of the game...literally 2-1 no wonder there top

Well a poor game, very angry i am now but we strive on, the computer had this one in the bag before we even started playing.

Cup game v Rotterdam
The cup, a chance to win something this season, the key is to take things as slow as possible, dont overstretch and you should win.
A chance for Huylens to make a start aswell in a 4-3-3 formation

First half
* Burchet has the ball on the wing, inside to Castolo whos found room, the shot is blocked but comes back out CASTOLO!!! 1-0!!! GREAT START!

Castolo plays it to Huylens, who takes a first time shot...Just over great strike

A pretty baron first half from Rotterdam, a good start for us lets hope it stays this way!

Second half
Espimas releases burchet who has the whole field to run into, he runs diagonally towards goal and unleashes a horrific shot which the keeper can only palm away.. CASTOLO WITH THE REBOUND!! 2-0!

Jaric takes the free-kick, a quick one, he gets it back and shoots...just off the post!

Complete domination by Fatal FC this half Rotterdam have done nothing

Huylens is put through, a wonderful shot, the rebound comes to burchet!!
HOW DID HE MISS THAT!

Game over 2-0 a wonderful score, god i love the cup!

Game 5 Heracles Almelo
5th (Fatal) v 2nd today in a tough match, 4-3-3 the preferred choice as well try to blitz them early

First half
Wonderful interplay as Castolo plays it to burchet whos one on one, he dummies the keeper but is tackled...NO PENALTY complete shock and anger from the team and the bench a certain penalty denied there.

Huylens to Castolo, back to Huylens who shoots...a wonderful save but its falled to Burchet who misses terribly, awful shot!

Huylens gets a low cross in, the keepers made a hash of it BURCHET IS THERE...another horrible miss, we could be 3 up by now!!! the boss prepares ordaz to come on

End of the half looming and a corner comes in, confusion in the box CASTOLO 1-0!!!!!!!

Well the breakthrough seemed like it would never come but it has, a wonderful goal by Castolo puts us in the lead

Macco comes inside, dummies and has a shot on....the keepers fumbled it and its in! 2-0!

Rotterdam have 3 shots in quick succession but Ivarov has been on form today

Great end to a game as one of their players is sent off, a wonderful win which should send shivers down the league!

Game 7 -FC Lorient
Slow game, they have skilful players and are exposing are weakness in our full backs, half time and there have been only a few notable moments, the introduction of Gierson has stabilised a shakey midfield.
Ordaz has been on fire in his new position on the wing, developing and taking all of our shooting chanecs, Hamsun has put a good performance in for fatigued strikers.
A late goal by Lorient deflates the team who have controlled the game
Espimas comes on as a sub an gets a ball through, a wonderful strike puts us at 1-1

Lorient start playing what i like to call “invincable” football, which is football without a response, the last few minutes are awful as we cannot pass without being intercepted, though we hold out for a 1-1 draw.

Cup 2nd Leg – Rotterdam
Since we are 2-0 up well take this game slowly and secure the victory, no chance passes or lax defending, simple and efficient.
Rotterdam have come out playing invincible football, a stunning undefendable goal spoils our plans for a nice simple game, this ones going to be hell
An awful game, every pass goes to them, there players are twice as fast, we have 25% possession and are forced to play down the wings and hoof the ball, this does not bode well, 0 shots on target 0 shots off target.
FOUQUE!!!!! 1-1 3-1 on aggregate!!

Iouga misses an open goal, one which would seal the game!
PENALTY TO ROTTERDAM!!!...SCORED 10 mins to go 3-2 on aggregate, no penalty whatsoever!
Nerve-racking last 10 minutes sees us hold out for a 2-1 loss but a 3-2 win on aggregate, a game i never want to play again!.

Game 8 – last game before negotiation period, v N.E.C
Were 2nd and would love to go into the negotiation period still being so, this is a must win to keep our hopes alive, im confident during negotiations we can snag a bargain or two and cement a promotion after a good start.
A PENALTY TO FATAL FC, XIMILEZ IS STRUCK DOWN IN THE BOX, Iouga to take....GOAL!!! 1-0

A 1-0 win, not a classic game but a great win

I need your help now guys, i need a winger/striker and an attacking midfielder on a buget of 5000 (flexible because i can trade players) no obvious choices because on top player they wont come to me, sensible choices. Cheers

Wow. Last night in my on-going Hertha Berlin ML, i scored what could possibly be my best goal of all time. Until now, my personal favourite was netted by Zikos (AS Monaco) in WE6FE. Last night i scored a wondergoal with Miniero, the tiny Brazilian midfielder. I think what made it extra cool was that i was coming back from 2-0 down and he had already scored our first and then this one to equalise. He rarely scores too. All i needed was a Brazilian commentator "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLL!!!!"

God of pro evo is stopping us winning this game by ruleing two goals out because of off the ball challenges made by the cpu

Aissati tackled from behind in the box, slide tackled, no penalty
Game ends 1-0 i am absolutely convinced there is nothing i could have done to win that game, 4 goals dissalowed a penalty disallowed, we had in the end 74% possession 20 shots on target , they had 1

A wonderful chip by Serrano to Aissati who slides it across goal ORDAZ!! 1-0 within 2 minutes!

RKC Waalwijk
2nd in the league, each game a must win to gain promotion, for the first time we are in he posotive with funds with 10724-9306 expenses with plenty of games to play! Serrano is out with 2 yellows in 2 league games already so Aissati moves to the centre and Hamsun upfront.
Aissati takes serranos place as the creative midfielder but it doesnt ake in the first half with the strikers getting the ball but doing nothing, hes moved up in the centre forward position in the second half and immediatley misses an open goal :o !
Shock as Waalwijk get a goal after several deflections, Fatal Fc gutted with little time left 1-0!
A shocking defeat with no way back, thats any chance of the title over, only the cup and promotion loom, a gutting blow a miracle is needed against such harsh cpu play.

As Nacny-lorraine
After being beaten so unjustly last time revenge is on the cards with Serrano back in the mix and Aissati up front.
AISSSSSATI 1-0 within 15 minutes with a glorious strike!

After an open goal missed at both ends the half ended on a tense note, but 1-0 is good enough, Nancy are really putting up a fight but if were strong well finish it off.
After a goal ruled offside and some dodgy tackles the game ends 1-0 a wonderful win after such a turbulent time in the last game.

Cup 2nd Leg v N.E.C
3-0 first leg means players will be rested to be fit for the last 3 games
Iouga is sent off after 2 minutes, 10 men for 90 mins with a 3 goal lead...
Jesus Liberman sent off after 15 minutes
1-0 to N.E.C from the resulting free kick 75 mins left...crap
2-0 to N.e.c with 70 mins remaining jesus christ

Prandini hits the bar early on and Macco misses a glorious opportunity, this game has the feel of being “one of those games” where scoring will come from a mistake or defelction
You can always tell when the computer is trying to screw you over, the take much longer time before an attack, your passes mysteriously go between two players to no-one and the game loses all attack.
Goal dissalowed for Fatal Fc because of....handball !
A FREAK SHOT AND GOAL :O!!!!!!!!!! 1-0 to FATAL FC AN ERROR IN THE DEFENCE AND A ROCKET OF A SHOT!

The ball was passed in towards Castolo but never got there because it went straight to two defenders WHO TACKLED each other leaving the ball to fall to Castolo and a first time hit nets an umbelievable goal!
1-1...i never touched the ball after kick off, the most rediculous of goals ever scored or i have ever witnessed, thats just awful.

FC Lorient
4-3-3 is not working anymore, the gaps in the centre are huge, a 4-4-2 is adopted after an abysmal first half.
Pass in by Mitchell GLORIOUS GOAL BY SERRANO!! 1-0 wonderful strike!

An understated game but 1-0 the win AND THE LEAGUE IS OURS!!! A spectacular number of losses by those in 1st has yielded us the title!!!!

The final fixture is a draw played with no real effort, the cup final is next and will be played soon.

I hope you all enjoyed my little master league campaign season 1, a fun thing to do while i was quite unwell for the last week, hope the pics didnt slow down the thread too much

Hertha Berlin have progressed to the Uefa Cup quarter-finals, after defeating SC Braga 3-1 on aggregate. The German outfit went into the tie with a 1-0 away lead. However, 22 minutes into the 2nd leg and the tie was levelled, when Belgian forward, Koen Daerden headed home from Luis Filipe's cross. Braga looked dangerous on the break, yet Hertha, whilst remaining cautious, decided to press the Portuguese. 1-0 was how it remained into the break.

The second half saw more urgency from the home side and the pressure eventually paid off when Ellery Cairo met Yildiray Bastürk's shot cross at the near post. 13 minutes later, Cairo again beat Paulo Santos as he broke into the box, capping a more than satisfactory display by the home side.
Hertha will now face European giants Liverpool in the quarter-finals.

Cairo is Dutch, Stan. A little speedy midfielder/winger. He was a Hertha player until this summer (previously at Feyenoord and Freiburg). He's signed a one year contract with Coventry in the Championship.

Euro giants Liverpool FC blushed red with embarrassment last night as they were knocked out of the Uefa Cup quarter-finals. Their poor display over two legs saw Hertha Berlin destroy the Merseysiders 2-0 in Berlin and then 3-1 at Anfield. Disgruntled reds fans began leaving Anfield before the final whistle as boos rang out into the cold night air.

Professor Nutmeg was delighted with his team's performance over the two legs, which he described as "very professional." Indeed, the manager's tactics appeared to be spot-on in outwitting his opposite number, Rafa Benitez.

Hertha Berlin will now face another English club, Arsenal in the semi-finals of the Uefa Cup.

Thanks Db. Playing in Europe (and getting this far) is actually really quite fun, as it's rare these days for me. I'd love to win the Uefa Cup as i haven't won any European silverware since PES4/Cagliari winning the CL. I believe it's only going to get harder in the next PES too.

As for Hertha, yes, they ought to get back into Europe. Big stadium, decent squad etc. Although, let's see who comes and goes this summer.

Maar jezal best wle begrijpen dat jepostings in dit item niet echt ter zake zijn...de heer denirobob die een crème van een kerel is heeft je daar heel beleefd attent op gemaakt...niet meer of niet minder.

Hang on. Ok the games up. It is in fact denirobob masquerading as Limburg's finest coach here to announce that I shall be utilising VVV Venlo in Pro Evo Soccer 2008 Master League.

With Gerd's detective like mind inbuilt into his Belgian genes he has bowled the perfect googly that caught me thrashing around from the crease with my wicket exposed!

To be honest, I might have to have pounded on Andre just a little bit for dissing the hot women thread so it is perhaps for the best that the truth has come out.
