The Master League adventures thread

Had City at home in my EL qtrs
Game was tough as hell, ended 2-2
Then this game.
Sassuolo at home,me being one point behind Roma at first place

Went on and had a thriller at City, managed to get a 1-0 win and I'm through to the semis.
League is fucked though, slim chance still, got Roma in a few games.

As Roma 33 games played 74 P
Juventus. 72
Milan. 70

Napoli. 67
That sassuolo game haunts me,next one is Carpi at home

Good match . .you're still doing well pal.

Depends on your ML Difficulty Settings. But regardless of it, what truly matters the most is your Club Ranking position. When you're at the bottom it's all down to Free Agents.

AFAIK as long as your ML Difficulty isn't set to Very Hard you should also be able to see whether it'll be possible to sign somebody. Either way I usually stick to Free Agents early on, especially if I've started with Default Team goddamn they suck ass so much I'd do better at footballing than them.

Worth noting that with Very Hard ML Settings sometimes you have to pay a lot of points. My record was something like 45k for Ronaldinho in FC Belgium Master League few months ago.

Honestly who pays these guys, apart from Libermann - and his only redeeming quality is just how massive he is - they ain't worth a penny ML Point.

I offered a young average 18 years old player 9k points and 900 points in salary and he rejected it even though I am top of the league with Middlesbrough. Is there like a hidden reputation stat for each team in the game or do they choose based on the league position in PES 6? My match difficulty is Top Player but I am not sure what I picked for the ML Difficulty.

Good match . .you're still doing well pal.
Thanx Dec,when you have that first place a point away, and playing that team later on,and fucking it up vs Sassuolo....man!
But it's alright,game plays ace still,so I'm happy.
Buying that piece of shit Berardi next season, buried on the bench is my plan.
Can't believe he's in Sassuolo,still there,strange

Carpi at home.
Day 34
Like playing the Berlin Wall, don't think they went over the halfway line first 60 minutes
Extremely tough breaking these boys down, and my team is very fatigued right now, having a week til my game vs As Roma, hopefully with a rested and fit team

As it's stands after 34 rounds
Juventus 75
Roma. 75
Milan. 73
Napoli. 70
Genoa 60
So hopefully I'll beat Roma next game and Juve looses, otherwise hold on for a CL spot

After a lot of editing finally i'm playing a good ML. My choice has been Arsenal
Best settings for me on PC version with a lot of tweaks, is professional , manual passing and advanced shooting. Time 20 min
I've almost finished the first part of the season and here my consideration
The start up is dramatic... all seems scripted due the low TS, that frustrated me a lot of time in the beginning of any season i've tried (on SS and TP is a nightmare with a low league team) .
Scripting during derby is less dangerous then the matches versus lower league outsiders pumped after your winning streak.
Numbers of fouls are accetable (about 10-15 each match), also penalties, 5 conceded to me and a couple for my opposite during the first lap of the season.

With advanced shooting there is more variety of goals and usually i have from 68 to 80 of pass precision also using manual, but i really enjoy this kind of controls, Usually i have the control of the most of match, , my possession is often over the 50%, i keep the ball as much as possible, restarting from behind BUT
the analysis of my style of playing is on long ball /counter attack (in the middle ,really close to switch to short/poss)
Have anyone never analyzed that?

Referees during rainy match seem a little blinded by the rain, a lot of hokuto tackles are totally ignored.. and also a lot of last man fouls are not proper sanctioned...
Now it's time for contract renewal and probably Cech will go away at the season's finish (he asked me a raise of 3 M of pound for just 1 one year .. fuck off), signed Tete in exchange of Debuchy plus 10 M of pounds, i'm trying to sell Cazorla, Mertesacker before their contract expiry and a couple of useless young, yet signed Benavente in June how substitute of Cazorla and i've also an ongoing negotiation with Howedes and Varane.

Anyway the immersion is huge.
Great troubles are just two for me
1- Injuries...
Jesus, Ozil is my best player but he plays 3-4 matches then stay out 6-8 weeks, the last match (derby vs Chelsea) he suffered an injury at 32' of first time (3 tackles) ... his injury res is 2 on 3.. for me is a little exaggerated that after 5 fouls in the most of the case he suffer a injury.
Same for Sanchez (7 weeks for 2 time )and Walcott (13 weeks)., in few words is a great trouble for any player that dribble often

2- Purple slider (ultra def behavior) after the 65' vs team with lower OVR, it's heavy to digest, the blu probably could be better for a defensive shape.. and also the players seem a little dumb when they wanna control the possession.

Probably before start a new ML i will raise all the player's injury res to the max, what do you think?

Nice seeing you in here again kilay.
Yeah TS is tough starting up a new ML,I acctually chosed my tactics by it,the highest TS became my tactics, play a 4-3-3 and a 3-5-2 setup.
Injuries, had tons of them when you on -1 game speed, now when I'm on 0, I don't see that much,so take that into your calculations

When it comes to new players I don't stare blindly to their ovr stat, more specifics, need a fast winger?
Good, but then that fast winger needs to fit into my tactics fast as well
Bought a Brazilian winger from PSG,Moura,a 84 ovr,for € 30 mill,he's been horrible.
But I kinda know you know all those things.
Good luck,keep us posted

BUT

Yeah, I look at it every month. It is very good indeed, because in your tactics you can be like "short passing" and everything like that, but if you play counter-attack even so, that analysis will say that you play long ball. I play short-pass build-up, too, and when I have a month scoring some goals at counter-attacking, the game knows it. It's really good.

I play ML on PC too. Started with Real Betis, real players, Top Player, Manual Passing, Adv. Shooting and 15 mins, really enjoying it. We've just started the season, winning Celta 0-2 and signing O. Dembele (even though he was at Barcelona...), Lemina, Odegaard, Lemar + all real life signings from Real Betis (Boudebouz, Guardado... lovely). I thought Lemar could play at the wings, but he's like a B and a A at AMF.

I play a 4-3-3:

And without the ball:

It's going to be fun :-) I hope we can get to Europa League.

Ted Lasso Update for PES 2018 Master League

I have a poll up on twitter to decided the fate of Ted Lasso for PES 2018. Would love to get some responses from you guys on here as to what the future will bring to Ted Lasso. A channel update video is in the works and should be up on Youtube in a little bit

I was actually wondering where old Ted was this morning . ... I'm not on twitter but try Brescia.

Ok Sampdoria v Lazio my bogey side. . .very entertaining match. . .gutted over the fact that my recorder turned off for my first goal and could only catch the end of the replay which doesn't do it justice . .it was a move which involved ten passes with little jinks in between. .such a pity as the stadium erupted and it felt great . .ah well.

I never got that Ted Lasso thing until I stumbled on to a video about him, hilarious shit:)

On a roll Deco, you must be a contender for CL spot

So one point behind Roma, this game became a beast of a game.
Roma nailing me to the wall first half,me doing the same to them second half
Fuck my €34 million man Lucas Moura, missing sitter after sitter

As the song goes Rock .. . .that's a Moura. That miss in the first half against the post . .fuck that.

First month with Real Betis:

The Getafe match was tough. I had to switch to a 3-4-3 Cruyff style to break them down.

I sold some players like the second and third goalkeeper, 30+ years old, and signed a free agent 70 ovr that will do. Signed N. Elvedi, free agent, CB 76 ovr 20 years old. Not bad. I'm trying to sign Kovacic, R. Sanches, M. Dahoud for the midfield (just 1 of them), and A. Touré for the RB.

Great game! Who's your central forward? He seems to be a very good dribbler.

After my disappointing loss to Roma,I had spurs at home for the EL semi.
Lost t 1-0
Then Fiorentina at home, won it 2-0
Spurs away became a thriller,1-0 me,penalties which I won 7-6.
So I'm in the EL final vs Olympique Marseille
But first a struggling Atalanta away

Since my local and the only team I support plays in green and white, got a special eye on Betis, nice bro

Hahaha nice!!

Second month:

Not as good as the first... I need a good striker. R. Castro is too old, Sergio León is not that fast, and Sanabria... I don't like him too much.

Yeah, that's Moura for you.he's gone next season

Hold up.

I've noticed back in my Spezia ML that some players simply take longer to adapt and actually git gud, it's probably Team Spirit thing or something. I've had one CF from Udinese called Perica, first six months he was really average, I sort of regretted getting him, but in the next season he did far better than my ace, Lord Petagna himself.

Give him some more time. I always feel like some players need more time to "adapt" in PES 17. Just a friendly advice :D

I'll keep him on,usually have Niang as a starter on that position.
He's alright,but he misses everything
Goal allergies?
Thanx Anjin

I'm getting to fond with my players, gonna keep my team intact for next season, perhaps a striker in

Hmmm...it might just be Team Spirit. Although I remember having issues with some top level players back in the day. For example in PES 5 on PS2 ~10 years ago (my first PES game I've had at home) in my first ML I've bought Fernando Torres and he was the worst, literally the worst player ever. And who the hell knows why, he had one of the best stats in the game. :/

But in 2017, it might be just his individual TS. Check if his tactics match yours. Sometimes even when tactics and TS are okay, some players seem to require more playing time to do their best. Affection towards manager maybe plays a part in it too?

I guess we'll never know the full story, but I'd say you need quite some time to truly see whether someone's gud or not. Especially if you've paid so much monies for him :D
