It looks pretty big to me. It was a big step up from my crappy 15" at the time.

Okay, thanks fellas.

I had my view of the game at Normal Long, but when i put it to Wide, I found the game going at a much slower pace. It seems the closer the screen is the faster the game gets.

The game feels a bit better.

p.s. - I'm using a Bush 21" SD TV.

i did mate ta. I have tried the wide view myself but cant quite get comfy with it (been playing long for to many years).

Im going to do a one off La Liga season with Valladolid before i embark on i think just to get myself back in sync and the ML prepared.

Exactly db, that's why in the end i decided not to have such an expensive chirurgical operation...i decided to fight my midlife crisis in other ways...
Can i quote you when i explain this to my wife???

I just finished fifth with Atalanta in a Serie A league...
I wait for WENB's option file before beginning a ML..still haven't decided with which team i'm gonna play...
Likely candidates: Basel, IFK Göteborg, Valenciennes or a Spanish team...
If i take a Spanish team it will have to be one with lots of old players, so i can build a team...any ideas????

Next week i got a 4 days to think about..i'll be in hospital (nothing serious).

The new manager of AZ Alkmaar has been putting his team through a thorough training regime in a training camp located in the north of England. Stringer Bell and the AZ squad are currently in rainy England preparing for the new season with a couple of preseason matches involving the English lower league teams.

The AZ Alkmaar manager commented during a 1-1 draw against Hartlepool United, “I think we really need to prepare well for the new season, because it will be very tough. I want every player to be in top condition. At the moment we are playing a couple of matches here in England, which gives me the chance to look at the players and get familiar with them.”

Stringer Bell’s team will be involved in, Michel Platini, newly formed Super League, which involves Dutch, Scandinavian and French teams. Supplementary teams will be involved to make it a diverse league.

Hmm well i'm not sure about oldest but Betis, Levante or Recre seem to be living on borrowed time in la liga, Levante in particular relying on Rigano's ageing limbs..

Go with a licensed league gerd. I wanted to use one of the 'other league' teams, but once you add all the rest of them, you almost feel like you're playing in Europe, which is a shame. I like sense of importance you get once you qualify for Europe, after playing all French/Italian/Spanish/Dutch teams domestically.
After this ML, i'll probably do another league ML (Italian?) and then after that perhaps something with an 'other league' team.

Guys, I thought in PES20078's ML, Div 1's would be a full 20 team division and not the 16 we've been getting for years. :roll:

I'm on ps2 version but was disappointed to see 16 teams in Div 1 and 8 in Div 2 again. Is it just me and do I need to unlock something or is this how it is? :shock:
 
The 20 team top-flight and 20 team second-flight is only on the next-gen games.

It's not that great anyway, the reason I like threads like these is the comparisons to real life. Which is shattered a bit when three random European teams get promoted to the Premier League every year because there's not enough English teams to fill the divisions... But it's always been like that I suppose with the ML. Just more noticeable now that the game is "next-gen".

Such a shame, but thank God for Football Manager.
 
actually the game feels miles better when you read and especially write stories of your ML. I'll prolly have to mix Ligue 1, EPL and SPL not to have some various clubs from 20 countries in my league. I feel it's gonna be fun to see how top Ligue 1 clubs can handle EPL competition and will Lyon be able to become the champions here too (no doubt them getting into the top 4).
 
Schuster is tired of the Spanish press...

Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster had a big clash with the Spanish press at a press conference yesterday.

The German coach was asked questions about the fact that Belgian tactical wizzard Gerd DK was spotted in Madrid a couple of days ago.

To be honest Prof, in the end it was gamble: i took the "random" option and it came up with Getafe..don't know the team at all (i guess i will see them on television in a couple of weeks since they are in the same group as Anderlecht in the UEFA Cup).

The big thing after that was setting up the various leagues. Usual i start my first ML in first division. This time i'll start in second division. A sort of Mediterrenean league...
I've mixed all those leagues up. The Premiership has the Old Firm in it (minus ppor old Derby and Sunderland). The French clubs are playing in two different leagues...I see it as a football equivalent to an NBA-style competition (in the future UEFA will go to that kin of competitioni think...).

Professor Nutmeg fielded a weakened side against struggling Le Mans, in the 1st leg of the League cup. The tactician invited criticism through his actions, as many believe the league cup to be a realistic route into Europe for the club.
Nutmeg's critics were silenced however, with a well earned 2-1 victory. Both goals came in the first half for the visitors. Firstly, Romain Gasmi drove low and hard, past Yohann Pelé from inside the box. Minutes later, in first half injury time, Yacine Abdessadki's awesome 25 yard strike made it two. Daisuke Matsui grabbed one back for the home side on 61 minutes, but their lacklustre performance only highlighted why they're currently bottom of the league.

Hello Gerd,

Getafe were involved in two strange transfers in the summer, one that worked in their favour one that didnt.

Getting Uche in from Recre was an absolute steal but letting Daniel Guiza go to Mallorca of all places was bizarre. If they had kept him alongside the Nigerian they would be doing a helluva lot better in La Liga this yr.

I am pretty suprised that neither player was picked up by one of the chasing pack ... Val, Atletico, Villarreal, Sevilla etc..

A frustrating match for Racing to lose by a solitary goal. Cassard couldn't hold Samuel Robail's 36th minute effort and Larsen Touré followed up from 3 yards. Professor Nutmeg later said that it was as if an invisible forcefield was surrounding his players.

The sky blues managed to hold off Le Mans for 90 minutes to win 2-1 on aggregate. Gervinho came closest for the visitors when his header hit the woodwork. Strasbourg and Professor Nutmeg, will face his old club, Toulouse, in the quarter-finals.
