This mode really does sound great, Hopefully FIFA can improve its BAP to this but from what I've seen i prefer the AI in that.
 
What is with the cups in BAL-mode? Im in deportivo, that is playing in the european championship? How can that be? Maybe one can think that is like the UEFA cup. But Barcelona is also in the european championship. Whats up with that? The cups are just randomized?

I'm new here, hade a lot of interesting reading, so I'm gonna post my BAL career too.
Here's my stats n growth at the start of my 7th season.
Top Player, 5mins game.

Started off at West Brom, became a 1st team regular. Moved to Westham during mid-season stayed for a year, was their "main strike force", but somehow managed to dislodge them from the EU master cup slot.::BLINK:Moved to Everton, stayed only till end of season. Couldn't stand their formation, not getting enough service up front, and wanted a taste of cup glory other than the usual league cup. Moved to Tottenham, I reloaded so many times here trying to see if any other clubs came in for me... As I am Gunner for life, I was having much thought accepting the offer. It's a game, so what the heck:BLEH:. Stayed for a year, became their top scorer. And in came Chelsea, was doing quite well, then FINALLY, Arsenal came for me, so did most of the top clubs, ala Barce, A.C.. So happy "ending", got my wish. Moved to my FINAL club, was the League's top scorer for two seasons. Was named in World team of the year(Twice), and EU team of the year. Hopefully I'll get the Player of the year this time round when they announce it. :BOP: Oh, and at the end of last season, finished 1st in the league with 5 games to go, signed Rooney and Nani from Manure. Gotta say.. Nani's stats are unreal, wish Konami get some scouts out there other then guessing. Or perhaps just copy the stats they find in FM.

Excellent forum guys, have really enjoyed reading that its not just me whos frustrated as fook!!!

Currently in my second season with "Tyneside" at AMF and Joe Kinnear has finally put me in the first team regularly although I have to say you could compile an xmas DVD of all the sitters I have missed!

That said I am still averaging 7's in every game I play in and have scored 6 so far this season with 4 assists (not great but Im rally struggling wit the vertical camera angle)

My speed is allowing me to get past most defenders which leaves me one on one and so far the only joy I have is to try and lob the keeper, everything else seems to be blasted wide over or off the metalwork (what a sound) I get very little aftertouch and although its frustrating as fook, I cant say I have been this addcited to a footie game since footballer of the year for the Commodore 64!!!

Any tips on one on ones would be greatly appreciated!
Im off now to try and get Ameobi to pass the fooking ball (hes a greedy basterd)
 
Anyone been at Lazio? 2nd half of my season at Napoli didn't go so great, we finished 8th.

None of it my fault....

LOL !! Martins is far, far worse.

Try changing the camera angle to Wide with the camera tracking the ball. Change the radar to make sure it isnt translucent and then you can keep an eye on where you are when your not on the screen. A bit of practice and this makes a far better game. Or at least it did for me.

I think the first season its randomized. After that its done properly.

Very nice!!! I'm in the 5th season on top player RWF position. Just starting to really be the star in the Chelsea team. Couple more seasons and I should be top class. Chelsea team is so old though, apart from me and Rooney. Hoping for a possible move to Barcelona maybe. Unless Chelsea bring in some new blood.

Edit: Moved to Arsenal in the Jan transfer window. Not much between the two clubs right now but the average age of Chelsea must be nearing 35. So gone to the youth of Arsenal :D

Upload your pic onto PS3 hard drive. Run pro and in face editing section select create and then import. Select the pic you uploaded onto the hard drive.
 
This mode is great, very addictive, been playing for a week, almost at the end of the 3rd season with my right winger. First two seasons i changed 4 teams (Catania, Genoa, Napoli and Lazio) with poor results, an average of 2 goals and 2 assists for every period.
Now with Fiorentina i have 10 goals and 12 ass and 6 match yet to go, great stats and almost every match mvp, team is 3rd and doing great it's a shame Inter took us out of the champions league.
Summarizing don't change team too often the more you stay the more you get used to the team tactics and the team get used to you, find so much space to run in counter attacks, unfortunately my player is not good enough to score on the majority of the one on one with the keeper, but the future is bright for my digital counter part :-)

Very good. Hows the italian league?? Not moving clubs often is a much better option. Sometimes you just get fed up and have to go, but if your a teen still and getting a game where you are...stay.

I've been at 4 clubs in 5 seasons. Wigan for 2 seasons, Blackburn for 1, Chelsea for 1 1/2 seasons and now Arsenal for the last half of season 5. Looking like a good switch from Chelsea to Arsenal. Got 6 goals and 5 assists playing RM in around 10 apps. Clear at the top of the premiership...4 points ahead of my old team Chelsea.
 
Hey guys. I've got this problem.. my ps3 hangs on me! I was playing BAL mode and left it running by it self.. it normally hangs at the half time page.. or full time page. It's like 3 times already. Anyone encounter this before? Is it my Ps3 having problems? Help~
 
Thanks Jimmy, I gave the wide camera angle a crack but it was too weird!!! I wish I had started on that angle, Ill persevere with the vertical just now, 4 goals in 4 games yesterday so it's starting to work now!
One thing I have noticed and wondered if anyone else has seen it..... Sometimes after a match I seem to get strength points (green) but no match points (red) my ratings havent dipped too much, a couple of 6's but still usually 7's. Anyone have any ideas?
 
the Italian league is quite blocked, not many goals, while i play at least as the simulated one are full of goals, anyway 4th season started well 3 g and 1 ass in th 1st 4 matches although we scored 5 goals in total the defense is pretty solid, feel like i am too greedy and taking the glory from my team mates, next bal i will be a cm for sure
 
I'm afraid my Masouri made a very bad move.
He had acquired a starters position with Grenoble.
In the match against Lyon, he made two tackles, which resulted in 2 yellows and a sending off...
Nevertheless after his ban, he once again was a starter. But Grenoble are really hopeless in my BAL game...they ended Ligue 1 last so Mansouri decided that it was better to move on. Three clubs were interested: Le Mans, Le Havre and Toulouse.
Le Mans was the morst attractive club, but they wanted to play him as DMF...knowing that Masouri can't tackle to save his life...it seemed better not to aspire a carreer as DMF...
Le Havre hardly seems better than Grenoble and wanted Mansouri to play as a SMF.
Finally Mansouri went to Toulouse as a SS or Winger...
At the beginning of the season i got the message: "Mansouri trying to secure a place on the bench"....aaaarrrrggghhh...

Yea i find this also, i never ever seem to get match exp (red) even when i have a very good game (score 2 goals, as ATM) I get no match exp at all, it is the same any game i play. i only ever occasionally get match exp, and its only like 1% on a couple of stats anyway, so its hardly anything.
 
Yea, im wonderinga also, im 23 now in game and my stats are now at a crawl.
I have 5 strength bars in kicking and after games im only getting like 3 or 4 upgrade points.

My highest stat is about 84. Highly doubt im going to be able to get into the 90s, its not as if ive had a rubbish carrer either, this season im in the world 11 team and european 11 team, 1st choice amf for england, and im at Juventus regulary getting 7`s and 8`s.

Im thinking of starting a fresh carrer on beginner as a CF just to see if getting 8s every game improve your progression.
 
Halfway the 3th season now and training 6 on shooting, 2 on speed and the rest 1. I play 10 minut matches on regular and ive been always assit leader and top scorer hehe :) Getting alot of chances in those 20 minuts... well almoust everytime i get subbed around the 70's minut. We also won the EC @ holland i already joinned the national squad at the age of 17 lol!!!

my red dot is btw far above the red line :). I think it pays to play alot cup matches and international games

I found that as well. Not many goals for the team I'm playing for. Although that's starting to change now I'm getting better.

Few good games and you should be back in bud. I had to do the same when I moved to Chelsea.

They are some insane stats!! im 21 and my stats are nothing like that, 90 on shot accuracy??? mines only 71. :((
 
yes since day 1 i trained 6 blocks shot accuracy, because i want to become a freekick taker :) (73 freekick accuracy now). I also got the skills 1 on 1, penalties(NEVER took one lol?, our team never got a penalty before) and scoring. I will post the other screenshots later, but first i want to finish season 3 :D. Negiotions just passed AC milan offered me a good contract but i want to stay at inter.

@just1moreperson i play on regular 10 mins matches
 
6 blocks on kicking technique would help that's for sure. Either stats go up quicker in reg mode or you start with higher stats. Or I'm doing it all wrong :D

Ebolder you never got a penalty?!?! I play as a right winger with my left foot, I always cut in and get fouled. I must have earnt 7-8 pens this season alone lol never take them though :( I'd like to take the free kicks for Arsenal but Sneijder (sp) takes them. Great career for you though, look forward to the other screenshots.
 
It says in the in-game hints/tips that playing in 'big games' boosts your stats - so cup games, derbies, european games, top of the table clashes etc are all listed as 'big games'.

Get plenty of time in those matches and your stats increase quicker.

I hardly ever play in euro games, I get right pissed off if my team (Valencia) use all their subs and done bring me on! :LOL:

Yes this is true, cause when the EC was i had like 6 matches during the negotiation period

No, i play in reg, and like i say im 23 and my highest stat is 84.

Also, ive not noticed any special increase in stats from big european games. Just the extra points for actually playing the game.
 
i started CF with Syrian nationality and after 6 seasons i got lots of offers from most of the top clubs and very great speed and stamina status but i found out that i cant participate in world cup since there is no team for my country so i had to drop all that and start again with new nationality (german)

its almost 40-50% extra points if you used the strengthen points based on your position

small advice, start with the stamina and speed since once u get regular first team spot you will need stamina badly at least first 3-4 seasons or the manager will keep getting you out before the end of every match which is in way or another preventing u from getting the full experience points from the good matches

and btw you barely see teh red bar after every match in normal season matches but in WC or ECC you will see them very clear and some times they will pass the 12 point per match

i hope they add the ability for none popular nationalities to be able to play and boost their own national team especially if their real national team suck ;)
