Re: Speculation Transfer 05/06 Thread

Does anyone know where Javier Saviola is right now. I know he returned to FCB from Monaco, but he's not listed as a forward there. I suppose he's going out on loan again.

I've just been reading on the official Espanyol Club website, that he may be going there.

Nicolas Anelka (Fenerbahce) >>>>>>>>>>> Newcastle U.

Newcastle endured a frustrating day in the transfer market yesterday, with bids totalling £9.5 million for Nicolas Anelka and Luis Boa Morte looking doomed to failure.

Staying put: Fenerbahce want £14m for Anelka
Freddy Shepherd, the Newcastle chairman, has been informed that Fenerbahce want almost £14 million for Anelka, more than double the £6 million transfer fee mentioned in a fax from St James' Park to their counterparts in Istanbul - and that apparently represents a final offer.

To compound matters, Fulham announced they had rejected a £3.5 million bid for Boa Morte in a statement that read: "Fulham Football Club can confirm an official bid for Portugal international midfielder Luis Boa Morte has been received from Newcastle United. That bid has been rejected."

However, Newcastle manager Graeme Souness is refusing to give up hope that his club can recruit both players and will be encouraged by reports that Anelka, 26, is becoming increasingly restless with his current club.

"Anelka has proved he can play in the Premiership and get goals here, so he's a man I would like to work with," Souness said.

No Anelka for newcastle this season... FB denied.
