Villarreal are right in a relegation fight this year. Next year will be rebuilding and he still has the quality to play at a lower pressure / lower expectation club.

The club is super small from a city with like 30,000 people. And he's LOVED and adored there after his great couple years there. I think he can help them bet back on track and have a couple more good years in Europe himself IF he goes there.

Okay, maybe if he accepts to lower his wage demands (which I doubt, but might be possible with Villarreal), I just don't think he's worth what he is earning (a lot at Inter surely).

Yeah definitely. He's no longer worth getting paid as much as he did at Inter or Atletico. That's why Los Rojiblancos wanted to get rid of him so bad too. And that after an incredible World Cup! His wages were crazy at Atleti! I'm sure it's the same in Inter.
