I guess I can say this to you guys but this is in no way confirmed.

From the latest news it seems to be Playstation 3 version out in June while the 360 & PS2 versions being released in September/October and the Wii version following up in Jan 09.

This is in no way confirmed but seems to be what everything is pointing at, I will be seeing some people form EA in a few weeks when they are in London so will do my best to dig some more info for you all.

About GameFAQs and them saying September and them being reliable?

EDIT: In all seriousness it's fucking ridiculous. How the hell does it take this long? The game is done, it's ready, it's in the same language. Absolutely ridiculous, laughable even (if you have the game already that is). Shameful.

Perhaps they want to make an extra buck or two in Christmas present sales. If it gets put back to October I can see them going the whole hog and pushing it back to December. I would put money on it, actually. It would be a complete sell-out.

yeah that sucks boys. Do you guys have DL content on the ps3? even if you guys are not a fan of the grateful dead, i would recomend dl a couple of there songs, they have one of the greatest guitarist and bassist of all time and hitting there solos and rythms is oh so much fun

Shitty legalities! The buzz is going off this game pretty quickly, I'm fed up waiting for it to be honest. The game sounded great (still does) but as time goes on, the novelty will wear off for me.

We can get DLC yeah, you just get a disposable credit card and load it up with £20. You don't need to supply an address so it works great.

There's some really great songs you can download, I've made a list of everything I want so far (as I said before the missus and I have a deal, I download one she downloads one)... In order of most-wanted to if-desperate...

I'm tempted to get the Wolfmother song as I like them, but when I listen to it (was on about 10 mins ago funny enough on me iPod!), that intro would kill me!

The DLC been great on the whole so far - its pretty much subjective to your tastes too. I.e. I love NIN and downloaded their pack last week the second it hit the PSN, but this weeks Grateful Dead, I wont get any.

For the 'Evo-Web' band, I dont mind singing or drumming. Singing is ok as it doesnt actually come out the other end! Bandwidth issues I guess?

Fiiiiinally, the only reason I can think of for the continued delay is a hardware supply problem. But then why release PS3 months before 360? Unless they do have a hardware prob, but have some commitment to PS3 to get it out first and stagger the rest?

Massive, massive project for EA to take on - US is one thing, rest of the world, something else!

I have fat fingers, so faster/hard guitar songs are not really my thing. I struggle on quick changes, so stuff like Enter Sandman I struggle on.

VOCAL - Hard/Expert (as long as I like the song or I forget everything)
GUITAR - Medium (can't do the last bastarding fret on Hard, I can do everything else)
DRUM - Easy/Medium (still learning)
BASS - Medium (same as guitar)

I definitely prefer the old guitars that would "click" when you strummed them, this new poofy strumming bit gets on my nerves. I'm missing notes where I'm sure I've strummed for them...

on the 360 you can use the guitar hero guitar, they say its better. The drums im iffy on, i dont seem to hear the notes when im playing.. any suggestions?

Why the hell didn't they get all of these license issues sorted out BEFORE they made the game?

Surely they must have asked for international rights when they were signing the contracts/artists

Either way - this better not be one of the shitty unknown bands that are causing all the problems

EA: Sorry but we had to delay the EU launch a year due to licensing issues with the band Bubonic Plague

Tis not just Licensing, you also have localisation for Spain, Germany, France, Sweden etc. There is also a chance each country might have different licensing, and well I cant wait for the Bubonic Plague DLC. I also reckon they abit like the Wii atm, the factory is building as many as it can, and they just keep selling out.

Not all countries in Europe are in the EU.......... yet. 52 in Europe and 27 in the EU, I think.

I'm getting pissed off with the guitar, I could finish 90% of songs with 100% success with the PS2 guitar - with this PS3 one (and the non-clicky strum bar) you keep getting missed notes in the middle of a heavy-note streak. It's great when the notes are reasonably far apart, but if you've got to hit 16 notes in a fast-tempo bar, or even worse, the middle notes get missed.

Bitching aside though, the world tour mode (only available in it's FULL GLORY in multiplayer) is literally the best game mode I think I've ever played in any game, ever. You win fans by playing well, and you LOSE fans if you quit in the middle of a gig (or play poorly when it's not expected of you). So everything has consequences, and it's not "just a game" in terms of quitting if it's all going pear-shaped. They won't like it.

Lots of songs are locked but you can make a custom playlist if you get bored. Some of them are very hard though. The better you do the more money you get, the more money you get the better forms of transport you can get, the better forms of transport you have the further you can travel.

It's serious stuff and I am fucking in love with it. So much so that playing on my own isn't the same any more. And I can't say that about a lot of games.

How does a custom playlist work? - Do you pick some songs and then play them back to back?

Does it look like its possible to create any famous people or have any recognizable face paints/attires?
