I completely agree with you. Very proud of all players and finally had seen Mourinho to go and attack against Barcelona. Great game, great day and if it was just a bit of luck it would be celebration tonight.

Only, I think this team would be even better if they get a doctor for Pepe to calm him down a little.

On the overall of the round, I think Barcelona was a bit better and Madrid has a lot to think about. If they had played like that in the first match, probably they would have gone through. It's mainly their fault, and specifically Mourinho's fault as I see it. And if they insist on the referees and all this garbage, they will be again in the wrong direction.

All in all, a fantastic match for spectators, an intense battle and a good result for us, though it was too evident that we're still far from fit and we still need 1-2 weeks to get in shape. Congrats to the Madrid fans that see things with fairness, because that's the best Madrid I've seen in years, and they can build from this having already an spectacular squad.

Congrats to Madrid fans, today you've found your team again! And for having witnessed such an intense match with plenty of great players showing incredible skills, from both teams.

PS: Even if you're fans of Madrid, I think Pepe shouldn't be allowed to play anymore. He didn't deserve to be in the field tonight, he deserved a send off again and he even tried to step on Alves after fouling him, again! This guy is a psicopath and shouldn't be away from this sport. Some day this guy will hurt someone (I mean really hurt), when the only one who deserves a real tragedy is himself. And I really hope it happens, for the first time in my life I really hope someone gets really hurt. Sorry for that.
 
Well, credit for Mourinho for attacking ...It remind me of Arsenal vs Barca, Barca attacks so much they tired themselves out letting RM the advantage .The post interview Mourinho looked tired emotionally like a person trying to break a brick wall w/ toothpicks.

At least he knows what to do defend, defend n attack! Seriously I think the real difference is unity, Barca players play for each other...whoever is closest to goal will score attitude. Whereas RM imo it`s like I will score to be favored by bossman .Benzema lovely goal and CR was simple. RM had some chances but unlike Barca were just getting the job done. I was rooting for RM too after going 2-0 I love the under dog .
 
:LOL: Cause Valdes is the most dangerous Barcelona player. I actually thought Pinto had a good game apart from the mistake in the pass.
 
I too think Pinto had a very good game, I don't think Valdes would have made such a difference. The key was pressure at midfield and there it was Xavi and Busquets the ones that under performed.

Credit to Arbeloa, too. Someone who's always overlooked and proved to be a quality player!
 
Yeah Arbeloa did very well!

As for Pinto, yeah he made some great saves actually but overall he doesn't instil confidence in his team or backline. And when you make a great save off your OWN mistake which could easily have led to a goal, I don't congratulate you. Because even though Madrid didn't score from that horrible pass of his, it still puts both himself and the team/defenders under pressure and makes them more shaky the rest of the match. It's much better to not make that mistake in the first place.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure Pep actually will play Pinto (if fit) for the semi-final and final of Copa Del Rey but yeah after these 2 legs, I think more people can see Valdes' worth and are glad to see him between the sticks for all other matches.

Nonetheless, Pinto is a good BACKUP goalkeeper to have. Among 2nd goalkeepers, he's actually fairly good and quite experienced with good mentality.

Another top performance by Real although the red card was very harsh for Racing. The team is like a train that can't be stopped, well besides Barcelona of course. But you are getting there.
 
Real's attacking mentality is crazy. Very enjoyable watching their matches. Too bad that refs make their job even easier with many penalty calls (mostly right calls though) and harsh bookings like in the last night. Also I never like how Sergio Ramos treats refs like a bully in every incident he's involved and that refs don't (can't) do anything about that. They're being favoured by refs from time to time but as a recent example last week they werent given a deserved and critical goal with a wrong offside call. So I think it's down to the great spanish refereeing most of the time.
 
Well, yesterday they were some decisions in Real's favor. Benzema scored his first goal (for 2:0) from an offside position. Also red card was a bit harsh from my perspective, as it didn't look to me like Racing playar have intentionally played hand ball. But other than that it was from start to finish one sided match.

Yes Zeem but they weren't as dominant as Chelsea's Mou was. Moreover, Mourinho won the league for the Blues after almost 50 years title-less. He is a very special guy. Love him or hate him. :)
 
Don't matter how I rate him as a coach, as a human being he has shown the worse you can expect from someone in his situation. There had never been someone so stupid as him out of the bench. Most of his reactions in the last year represent everything you dont expect from someone who should give example with his behaviour.

He acted like a child in the supercup and wasnt even able to take responsability for his actions. He deliberatedly lied and denied things that are on tv and are absolutely unacceptable. How can people admire this human being is beyond my understanding.

I value a lot the values of public people, and the same way I despise people like Busquets, Alves,, Marcelo or Ramos for his behaviour inside the pitch, I think Mourinho and Pepe are beyond this, and I dont care what happens to them as human beings.
 
I don`t understand he won the treble and he was asked to leave Inter? Now, it`s almost looks certain that he`ll win the title and will be asked to leave RM too?

How can a manger be so successful at winning and can`t stay at any club for longer period it`s beyond my comprehension . I get the impression he might not be worth the success ...maybe?
 
The thing is he was not asked to leave. In Porto he won CL and got offer from Chelsea. There he didn't manage to win CL and he was fired. In Inter he won treble and got an offer from RM. I bet he would still be manager at Inter if it was not for RM.
 
Oh I see! cheers for the explanation...I just got that impression it seemed, he was let go and the crying on top of players bit. So, Mourinho will be excepting another bid from a club in the summer then?
 
As far as I have read at few different sites he again, at pre-match press conference before CSKA match. said that he will not leave Real at the end of this season. He said that he left Porto because he felt it was time to move on, and that he left Inter having decided that even before UCL final that season.
 
Mourinho always tends to train the best, and there's no best when it comes to Real Madrid ..
Real Madrid is the top dream for every footballer or coach ..

yep. it was mou who left inter, bebo, not the other way around. inter 's president, the board, the players and the fans...... they all loved mourinho and they were all gutted when he left milano.

i think andre nailed it here. josè is probably the most controversial coach in football right now (along with zeman, but for different reasons). u either love him or hate.

as a person, he can be very funny, charming and witty.... but u just have to push him a little and he turns into the most obnoxious, childish and stupid man u can imagine.

and his coaching style prefectly reflects his persona. his ability to get his players to do exactly what he expects from them is absolutely unmatched, and he's also great at preparing the matches (wich means he's very good at understanding how the game is probably going to unfold itself in the days preceding the match and prepare the most appropriate countermeasures).

but if he doesn't get it right before the match, if the game eventually pans out in a different way then what he expected, then u're completely screwed, as he's absolutely awful at reading the game (in real time), interpretating what's going on on the pitch and reacting accordingly.

he's just a guy u love to hate (and at the same time a guy u hate to love) :))

Well I think he does know how to turn a game around at the half time..
 
I'm with Ben here, he may be good preparing the match, but he's awful at reading it in real time. He may nail it sometimes during the halftimes, Enzo, but usually he's useless at changing the tide of the game while it plays.

It's very curious that Guardiola and him are so alike when it comes to this. Pep usually prepares very well the matches but is very slow to turn it when it doesn't work as expected. I think that actually both have very similar qualities. They just differ in style, in and out of the pitch.

They both are great motivators, both dominate the press, both have the players totally under control, both have similar power inside their clubs, both are freaks of tactics and strategy and both spend hours preparing the next match and both are slow turning the trend of a game. There are a lot of differences (Pep uses the youth team and don't poke other people eyes, for instance) but they both are very perfectionist coaches that are able to dominate the benches of very difficult clubs.

and most of the fans around the world share your opinion on this one. but the truth is different.... or at least that's what mourinho's history as a coach reveals. i've only seen him reading the game and trying to make some adjustments to his tactical setup 2, maybe 3 times (and actually he did a good job on those occasions... like the inter-chelsea game in london).
but on the other side i could mention something like 30 matches when he completely embarassed himself, showing the same aptitude for tactics of a guy playing football manager or pes. actually guardiola himself makes good readings and adjustments, compared to josè (and game-reading certainly isn't guardiola's best asset).

it's funny actually, most people in the world consider josè a great coach, and detect his most important skills as a coach in tactics and media management. truth is jose actually is a great coach.... but for completely different reasons, as tactics and media management are infact his major weaknesses. :D

:)) i've never considered this, but u guys are actually right, pep and josè do have something in common indeed, when it comes to tactical preparation of the match and tactical adjustments during the game.
with 1 huge difference though. jose's pregame tactical setups are mostly focused on the balance of the team, while pep's tactical setups are mostly focused on the type of game he's expecting from his opponent. one (josè) is mostly focused on the teams, the other (pep) is mostly focused on the football. 2 completely different (but equally effective) coaching philosophies.
