Real Madrid Thread

do you really still believe that Pep is a football coach ?

No, we think of him as midget manager but he seems to fancy the other definition better.

On a more serious note, would you rather your team have its worst record in the history against a lucky guy who knows nothing or against a pretty good football - yes, coach?

edit: If you guys will take away the La Liga "crown" from us - and it's almost sure you will - I'd rather you did it a) defeating us or b) without smugness. I'm not talking about every Madrid fan, just the obnoxious ones [the equivalent to our obnoxious fans]. I mean everything you guys do now was already done in the past few years by us and even by you. Today's Madrid (strictly point-wise) is really not that far from last year's and below the Pellegrini one. And as far as direct games go... the same, till now at least.

And to detail the a) - i kinda liked the recent succession to the trophy. When the Galacticos era was over it was signaled through a 3-0 Barcelona defeat in 2004. When the Ronaldinho era passed its peak there was a 2-0 thrashing by Real in 2006; and when it was once again Barca's time to shine, there was a 2-0 [followed by the 6-2] in 2008-09. All of these were NOT disputed games... they were definite, deserved victories. Heck, for the last 8-9 years the team that won the opening El Clásico won the league. That's probably about to change now because Barca couldn't hold on to their form.

Why does Nuri Sahin not get any meaningful minutes now that he's fit?

It is the name and image, and of course some contracts for ACS, which is the company of Florentino. I think we will see a lot more projects like this in the future, given the current state of things in Europe and the increasing investments in south asia and middle east.

Finally Mourinho figures it out against Barca.

Ozil was my man of the match, he was absolutely magnificent going forward and defensively.

Ronaldo scores the game (and probably title) winning goal, he was magnificent as well.

Dunno what Pep was playing at though, weird tactics, took Xavi off and didn't help Messi out at all.

Nice one:

Imo, at this moment, Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the World.

Huge game by Özil and Benzema. Pepe and Coentrão were all amazing too.

Congrats on the win, Cmon Special One, I love Ronnie but really? Messi's a machine and he was so dangerous it was ridiculous how he had 4 Madrid shirts surrounding him, Barcelona missed a striker badly which would allow Messi to have that little more space which Sanchez provided but Barcelona looked very tired.

Oh no no, don't get me wrong my friend! I'm not saying Ronaldo is better than Messi, when I've already stated at La Liga Thread that is pointless to discuss about which one is better, what I'm telling is, at the moment we talk, Cristiano Ronaldo is the most in shape player in football. His performances have been stunning lately. :)

His performance on Saturday reminded me of his CL semi second leg performance against Arsenal in 2008-09.

Just brilliant.

I sincerely hope he carries this form into the Euros and drags Portugal to a good result.

If RM wins the CL, Ronaldo will 99% have the Ballon d'or ..
and it'll be 100% if he shows a brilliant performance in EURO 2012

"Real president Florentino Perez was sitting next to me and said, 'Manuel Neuer is the best keeper of the world'," Rummenigge told reporters after the game.

what a president Perez is  poor Iker..

 According to Calderon, Perez tried to get rid of Casillas three years ago. Don't know if you can believe that or not.

:LMAO:

If that's true, Florentino needs to be shot in the head just for that if not anything else!

Just dug it out from 2009. Keep in mind, Calderon really hates Perez.

Ramon Calderon has now said that president-in-waiting and the man who oversaw the Galactios project wanted to get rid of both Raul and Iker Casillas, two cantera products. In an interview with Al Jazeera Sports, Calderon said:

“Florentino did not have a lot of connection with the players. It was only thanks to popular support that [Iker] Casillas stayed at Real Madrid, because he [Perez] did not want him, nor Raul, to continue there.”

Anyway, congrats on the title. Well deserved this year.

Hahaha good point. I wouldn't trust a WORD either one of them says.

Two HUGE scumbags!

I really hated Calderon. Seemed like the most Untrustworthy guy! Even worse than f'n Florentino probably.

I hope nothing bad happens to San Iker, or Madrid next season. I hope 12/13 will be the 33th time we win La Liga, another Champions League Trophy that makes it a LA DECIMA, and a Espana Super Cup, and Copa Del Rey.

I hope :D
