Real Madrid Thread

If Madrid wins tonight, although half the season still left, it could well be over. Of course not truly over but it'll be very difficult then for Barca to come back. So Barca NEEDS a win or at LEAST a draw.

And you know what, Real are coming into this match confident, on great form and leading the table and are playing at HOME! Real Madrid should be adventurous yet methodical and SHOULD go for the win and try to end Barca's season right here right now today and not settle for a draw or be defensive. Their fans wanna see Barca beaten at home at least anyway, not 'held' to a strategic draw.

I hope to see a great match but am not too optimistic about it.

p.s. What are the odds on a player getting a red card in this match? Probably very low right hahaha

It'll be interesting to see if he starts with Higuain or Benzema actually. Nice little battle between two quality players and two of the world's best forwards.

Hey ho Alexis, nice to see you in this thread. :) Hopefully you will come back here at 11pm congratulating us for one more Clásico win. :D

I barely had time to post in Evo-Web atm, a lot of stuff going on here, certainly I would have loved to reply a few things about the game tonight and also in the NBA thread in where I disagree with you regarding to CP3 fiasco trade. Hopefully I'll get on business rather sooner than later.

Good luck Barça! (not that gooood at all ok?)

Well, we both had good luck with some goals, but at the end we won. Nice for the competition. The first 30 minutes of real were quite good, but then the tables turned and Barcelona dominated. Real is still the favorite to win the title in my oppinion. I think Barcelona is a much better team, but plays a very hard style of play, and we can loose some points in the way (as we already have).

On the other hand, Madrid is a machine against weak teams, so they can capitalize on that for the rest of the season until we meet again.

Let's meet in the NBA thread because I see we have very different oppinions on the Paul trade... Wish you the best!

If I were him I'd start Benzema, he's got more to his game and Higuain has never turned up against Barca.

He did and it was a great decision. One of Real's best players tonight though his performance went down in last 20 minutes.

I agree, Benzema was the best player for Real, and probably Di Maria too proved to be a threat for most of the match. Benzema and Higuain. Jesus, 2 of the best strikers in the world. Real Madrid bench is amazing, they only have the bad luck of living at the same time of a legendary team. That shows how truly good Real is.

Yep. Real definitely #2 in the world.

I just hope this year in CL, they don't meet in semifinals or earlier and meet in FINAL if they go through which I think they can.

Mourinho Real v2? Well I was expecting much better Real, 1-3 at home, another humiliation! All that pre classico hype about better Real, great statistics, unbeaten in CL, Mourinho second season etc etc. Last night I saw it was all CRAP.

Like Christiano Ronaldo missing golden ball every year because of being in shadow of Messi, Mourinho is now ruining his coach record because of Pep and Barca, no domestic titles, no CL, terrible record in Classicos, nothing.. only a cup...

Barca might lose race for La Liga title, but it dosen't really matter in the end, unless Mourinho can win at Camp Nou... Real lost first duel, second one will be even harder that this one.

Compare barca sytem with Real´s and you get answer,

how many times real uses their youth? how real youth player we know?

Barca already have a youth team that wins in CL agaist champion of Belarus and they have so many talent, they can easy sell few of them and still have a lot...

this is main reason that Barca will dominate for next 10 years imho.

Actually Real have an excellent academy. Better than most top teams out there. They produced some awesome players recently but they don't have the confidence to use them.

The problem in Madrid related to this right now is Mendes. He is the manager of Mourinho, Pepe, Marcelo, Carvalho, Cristiano Ronaldo, Di Maria, Coentrao, And a lot of the staff. And Mendes also put a portuguese youngster in the youth team. A youngster that no one thinks is good enough. But what happened? This kid had the chance to play in CL against Ajax, ahead of the real promises of the youth team, like a guy called Jesse who could be the next Raul but has had zero chances with Mourinho.

This summer, Madrid wanted Aguero to take Mendes as manager as well if he was to sign for Real. Aguero declined then Madrid cancelled the transfer. Just like that.

While Barcelona has a system oriented to let the young players accomodate in the first team, Real is managed in a very suspicious way. Florentino will never understand football, he's just making lots of money while he pretends to.

I realize Ronaldo is so wasteful against Barca . If, he was Superman then, Barca plays with kryptonite. RM has a very solid core and things look very good Mou is doing good progress. The title n CL is still at hand.

As bad as Ronaldo was, Özil was pretty anonymous as well.

A few nice touches and passes on the ball in the final third but didn't work hard enough off it.

I would have gone with Sahin and played him deeper alongside Alonso and Diarra. Ronaldo shouldn't be played outwide against Barcelona and is more effective if he's through the middle.

I really don't get why Mourinho didn't give Nuri a chance considering that the match wasn't looking competitive by any means in the second half, at least. Let alone Clasico, in none of the other matches that are sort of serious he hasn't been given it. Man, he should begin from somewhere if he's supposed to be a future candidate for the back bone of the team. The whole thing doesn't make any sense to me unless RM is possibly hiding if Nuri has an obstinate injury.

guys i have a question for you

Some Albanian based web-sites say that there is a boy called Arlind Kukaj playing for our youth squads, but on the official Real Madrid web-site I cannot find any info about him. Is this guy real? now say that hes on loan to boca juniors ,

he score 32goal on 47 matchs for real young team , hes 18 years old now ,
also say that Muorinho saw a match of him last summer where he score 3 goals and he (Mou) say to his father that hes new Ronaldo 9 ....

any of u guys have listen about this or its a fake story...

I can quote myself :) Same thing, but now 1 month later :)

Pepe should be sent to Siberian death camp, really!

Agreed, Pepe has a very bad rep. he is a candidate to be red carded in every tackle....Mourinho should give Varane more play time and stop with this ultra defensive style against barca (it's quite embarrassing).

That doesn't make any sense to be honest, their the record 9 time winners and last won it 9 years ago rather than 25.

I would like to see how Real would fare with a line up like this:
Casillas
Ramos - Carvalho - Pepe - Coentrao/Marcelo
Alonso
Kaka Özil
Di Maria Ronaldo
Benzema/Higuain

callejon is such an exciting player I did the same goal last night. I wonder if I could of been a footballer on a higher calibre , Oh well... I wasn`t happy with Ronaldo`s 2nd pen of the night poor Benzema! ref needed to play out then card the 2nd yellow ffs!

I'm proud of this team, I'm very very proud of this team and the whole Madrid nation should be proud as well. Finally, we've played as Real Madrid, this is our DNA, attacking football, not that crappy "triple-pivot" thing with Pepe in the middle. Yes, we can!

Unfortunately, even scoring 3 goals, it was too little to beat them.

¡Hala Madrid!
