There is no regular penalty taker. Sometimes João Moutinho, sometimes Polga, Liedson, Romagnoli, etc.

Never seen anythig like that.
For everytime they miss a penalty the next player to take a penalty will feel even more pressure.

Vitoria de Setubal just won the league cup (Carlsberg Cup) tonight, by beating Sporting on the penalty shootout. Sporting being a disaster this year on taking penalties, this comes to no surprise. Putting players like Polga or Liedson that are clearly crap at penalties, taking the shots was a (another) very bad decision by Paulo Bento, coach of Sporting.

Carlos Carvalhal winning his first title (I believe), and 4th on the league, showing that sooner or later he's gonna be on the bench of one of the bigh three.

Me hopes later so that he can join Porto. :D

A game tactically perfect and a bit of luck in penalties were enough to win the Carlsberg Cup. Sporting failed in penalties again. Does Paulo Bento train penalties?

Penaltys shootouts are never luck.
I'm always fascinated when coaches say the it's a lottery.
It's only a lottery If you don't train them.

Porto won Belenenses away for 2-1 with the winning goal being scored in the last minute by Lucho! Altough it wasn't a penalty, but it makes up for the countless penaltys that weren't signaled by the refs during the season.

Just 3 points away from the 3rd straight title.
Next game at home against Estrela da Amadora.

Sporting Lisbon also won their game. 1-4 away. goals by Miguel Veloso, Liedson (2) and Yannick Djaló.

And finally a victory for Benfica at home. 4-1 against Paços de Ferreira. Rui Costa Il Maestro scored twice.

Well, the press choose a dam good day to release these news :lol:

Basically Porto may loose 6 points this year because of corruption on two games in 03/04. (yah... the year we won the CL). If things get dragged though, it might happen what happened to Milan, in which the team started the season with negative points, in Porto case it could be 6 points. There is also the possibility of Porto being demoted to the 2nd division, but I don't see this happening.

So thanks to this, we won't be officially comemorating the title next week. Of course Porto fans won't care and are gonna fill the Dragão and celebrate.


I wish I had videos of those games.
I don't even remember the results. :(

EDIT: Fascinating, Porto didn't even won one of those games (Beira-Mar - Porto).
The other one I don't know, still need to know, but we surely won.

I'm kidding! Everybody knows FC Porto is the best portuguese team by far so they deserved to win it.

But Pinto da Costa is a mobster. You need to recognize it.

I got a 10% bonus (£5) on my winnings today at Paddy Power and I decided to bet it on Porto getting beat tonight. Not a good idea. :D

I remember some time ago they tried to convert him to benfica. needless to say they were unsuccefull.
