PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

No.
Where is my Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 4K PS4/PC Graphics? FIFA Clock is slow and boring too.

Patches will fix the way this game looks as much as possible. I enjoyed 2015 to the fullest thanks to patches and that was a whole lot more annoying gameplay-wise. Just imagine how good it will be when we'll have complete patches. I'll also play FIFA as usual, and at least this year it looks better in term of graphics (I can now actually look at them ) but still, I think it's far behind PES.

I'm currently playing with pesmonkey pitch mod and it feels superb .

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

I've played a few more games since my critical review but by and large I stick to what I said. The frustrating thing is that, with a tiny bit more thought, this COULD have been be the best football game ever.

Is it better than 15? Yes it is. I've had some enjoyable games but there's also been some 'meh'. It's so hard to get it to flow 'organically' but when it does, like the last game I played, it makes you leap off your seat. It's not a human player thing either. I didn't make any tactical changes before I began, just picked up the controller and played - and it was beautiful. As good as any PES before it. It's almost as if the game is human. It has some good days - and it has some bad days. The thing is - can anything be done to make it have good days more often?

That... was perfect! No other post will be able to describe the game more accurately. Respect :SAL:

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

I am really torn at the moment.

Looking at gameplay only I really like the new physicality and fact that stamina is not so ridiculous as it was on the last PES I played (2013) but there are some niggles (other than the no fouling thing)

1) Scoring is easy in certain situations (common situations too). If you are just outside the box and tap shoot it is pretty much a goal.

2) Some stumble animations are unnecessarily over the top and rob you of the chance to fight for the ball.

3) Repetitive AI attack patterns and goals.

4) Defenders are not sharp enough, robbing the centreback in possession and getting in on goal happens too often in PES than real life, far too much.

I haven't played the game too much to be able to judge player individuality although it does not seem to be quite as pronounced as PES5/6 apart from the physical side of things. What is the verdict on individuality?
arjen robben is a total beast in this game, controlling him feels so responsive and super fast, so does messi and ronaldo, you can feel the difference when these players have the ball.

precisely i can have 4 games in a row which are superb very unpredictable, but the next one u have cpu cheating, balls hitting the crossbar instead of going in etc.. but this is the beauty of pes. isnt it.i just want them to fix the fouls and the keepers, as i said before, this game plays better vs a friend than vs the cpu.

yeah, it's been a love-hate relationship for a long time. like a relationship with a woman, sometimes she drives you completely mad, other times she makes you wanna treat her like a queen

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

I'm playing with some Ultra HD Pitch patch and the game looks really really great.

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

I've had some epic online games so far. Sure, it's a bit 'arcadey' and too easy to score, and it's definitely rough around the edges, but huge fun, and a LOT less frustrating than last year or 2014.

I'm still infused with that 'one more game' feeling. Hope it lasts :P

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

Anyone else finding professional harder than superstar?

I find the AI defends better, but doesn't get many shots on goal.

in the CL, i'm playing on top player, and the game has cpu cheating, cpu players faster than urs etc, have to try professional.

i was talking before about fifa s strong points, here;s a clear picture of what i mean, old trafford in pes doesn't look like real life one in terms of distance btw goal post and 1st row of spectators, look at the green added in pes that doesn't look right, and look at real life stadium, green just ends behind the goal post, in fifa they got this right, they got old trafford to look like real life.
Pes in ps2 era had a strong point of imitating real life stadiums, this started with pes 2012, they just got the whole stadiums including old trafford to have more space than the real ones. it's for me irritating coz fifa get this right, it's the same aswell for santiago bernabeu etc.

You are extremely picky :CONFUSE:
how can i be picky when i see fifa do things right in stadiums, and when i see pes break what was good before..??? why break what is fixed??

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

I'd never thought anyone cares about an extra bit of grass behind the goal while playing...

Yup same here. Top player and superstar: super frustrating, professional: a fair challenge, hard but very enjoyable.

when i play a game i look after photorealism, it s the same thing as having good time when you play crysis for example, in football its the same thing, the pursuit of realism, i guess i am right and i have reason with what i say, pes before did stadiums right, now, no they don't, i clearly said fifa offers the better imitation of stadiums the past years.
when you play EPL or when you watch, all stadiums except emirates stadium all of the goal posts are very close to the 1st row.
anyway, do the stadium pack of 2015 work with 2016? nou camp, santiago bernabeu etc..?

Gave it anotehr go yesterday, switched to manual passing.
The good thing is, that I don´t feel that laser guiding in passing anymore I had with level 1 assistance.
The bad thing is, that the passing power seems not to be right.
Sometimes the ball rolls like a rocket to a player far away, even I didn´t load up the power bar to the max and sometimes when I WANT to pass to someone more far away, a player in between - who´s quite close - receives a rocket.

It´s strange. Also on manual passing, the through ball button seems to be unnecessary.
I´ll keep on trying but even on manual passing (which isn´t 100% manual actually) there are flaws...

They need to do a lot of patching.

so much this! playing EPL in FIFA is as good as watching it, not only do they include all the English stadiums, they recreate them perfectly

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

once more konami league with minimum 20 teams...So difficult to do it with, from 3 teams???

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

In fairness and for a little balance, a number of the EPL stadia in Fifa have been wrong for a long time, fans in wrong stand at Anfield, cameras on wrong side at Goodison Park, fans too far away from the pitch at Old Trafford (and a number of other stadiums), think it was really just last year's Fifa they fixed a bunch of the longstanding problems and this year they finally put the camera on the right side at Goodison Park...

But yes you'd think that with only one single EPL stadium to get right in PES they'd actually get it right.

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

I do care as I like authentic stadia in my games. 99% of people wont, I agree.

Stadium inaccuracies are more noticeable from a gameplay cam than player faces, hairstyles, tatoos and boots....the things PES fans obsess over. So while I agree - it doesn't really matter - these things can be seen as sloppy when PES has so few licensed stadia to deal with, as Placebo alluded to.

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

well if they would make a face importer, they could care about stadiums all year long, fake/real ones i dont care, the more different we have the better.

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

But yes you'd think that with only one single EPL stadium to get right in PES they'd actually get it right.

IIRC they got every single stadium for the first time in FIFA 15. Now it's only their second year, so that's what I was comparing it to, last year's game had all stadiums and they were done perfectly :) One of the reasons I loved PES and kept me away from FIFA over the time was that in PES I could feel the attention to detail given by the dev team. The stadiums, banners, flags, kids carrying the flags for the national anthems, I believe there even was a cutscene where you could see the player being picked up on a stretcher after an injury (really can't remember which 08, 09?); now, like you said, they've got only one EPL stadium and still get some things wrong.. it's laughable. I don't care much about every single tiny bit of detail, but, if you only put 12 stadiums in the game, with only half licensed, they'd at least be done right.

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

yeah its lazy ass work, no need to defend them in such areas. if you do something and you ask money for it and it hasnt done properly why couldnt the customer criticize it?

Agree, BUT is this thread going to run and run on negative criticism for next 12 months.Hope not.
Konami could have given us stadium creator again though,I just loved those smaller stadia for lesser sides. That would have been a bonus.

People will feel a bit better when community puts out a stadium pack.

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

yeah i hope it can be extended to 40 stadiums this year again with ML compatibility so i could play fully licenced LIGA BBVA

stadium creator was shot down because licencing issues (by EA maybe) tho if i remember right

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

I SO loved stadium creator! I think I invested the most time in a PES game in 2013. ML, BAL, editing mode where I created teams and stadiums for them! Knew just what each team needed  Like superleeds said, making them smaller for smaller clubs.. Now, I'm visiting Eibar for a league fixture and they're playing on the big Konami Stadium

stadium creator was shot down because licencing issues (by EA maybe) tho if i remember right

Not sure how much to believe that ;) After 2 years, I'm still baffled :CONFUSE:
