I think neither of both fora are very serious: WENB is overly positive and EVO-web is overly negative. The good thing of beeing overly positive is that people are not sarcastic or insulting.

Forums like evo-web need people like TG otherwise this place would lose credibity. I mean, we get most of our news from WENB anyway, it's people like ThomasGoal that give us the winks and nudges that WENB can't.

I don't know why but people seem incapable of talking about this game without turning into an angry 13 year old.

If there are any posts in particular that you think the mods should look at again or clamp down on please use the report post icon (the warning triangle under the user's details on the left). We follow up on every report.

We do read the threads anyway but it can be tricky trying to balance allowing a certain amount of freedom (negative posts and the like) against clamping down on fools.

I will say that any more discussion about WENB will not be tolerated. We're all part of the same community and it's football videogaming that we should be discussing. Any comments about the output of WENB would be better directed to the people running it. If it's not something that you think can be directed to them then it's not something that should be posted here either.

I'm afraid it's too litle too late Mart.
I think we are loosing a valuable member while several idiots joined us, often people who come every year for a couple of weeks and eventually get banned (too late).
I think it's sad that Thomas was fed up with a forum that is bout PES/WE and not about WENB.

Out of interest, does anyone know the state of play with patching PS3 games as of yet?

I'm assuming the cost right now is comparable with that of the space shuttle, but is it realistically something that's going to be about in a few years?

Option files only go so far and playing a patched WE10 is quite something.

edit: TG should be back. We just have to wait until there's some actual news to start filtering out the crap.

Gerd, I just want to respond to this because I feel it deserves some kind of acknowledgement.

Every year we have the same circus. This has been going on for years. TG has always had the support of the mods here and the people who genuinely appreciate what he brings to the forum. Now what usually happens is we have this general and rumour discussion thread and when we start getting actual news we open the "official" news topic, that is usually locked and only Mods and as an exception, Thomas can post.
Now I understand Thomas has to deal with a lot of morons responding to what he posts, but should he really allow that to genuinely get to him? At this stage? I mean nothing too over the top is, or ever has been allowed and anything personal is usually clamped down on pretty quickly and harshly. As always, as this topic gathers pace the Mod presence will increase and useless posts will be deleted to maintain some kind (I can hope cant I? :PRAY: ) of order to the topic, we just require a bit of patience from the genuine users as unfortunately we cant be here all the time, but as Mart said use the report button and we'll get to it. I myself will be trying to keep up to date with this topic from now on, so it will be tightened up and useless posts that bring nothing constructive to the topic will be deleted.

We cant persuade Thomas to continue posting the info he gets here, but I hope he realises he does have a lot of support here and his information is always appreciated by the majority, maybe that will help him u-turn on his decision and continue providing the community here with the news as it happens.:))

I think he was mainly referring to this topic. And not to speak for him, but I would imagine he is also talking about posts along the lines of...

I would be a louzy mod.
Second, i know this is the most difficult thread for mods, i realize that. Would i do better ? Certainly not, i'm a louzy mod.
Mart has a point, we could use the report button, i usually forget that it even exists and i shall use it in the future.
But somtimes (often) it isn't that simple as that. The wind-up merchants are usually very good. You already see at their first post that they are here to eeuhm...wind-up. But if you consider every post (apart), usually there is nothing wrong...the report button does only work for indivdual posts...mostly it's a sequence of individual posts that does the damage, for example stating the same point over and over...

I hope you get what i want to say...because i'm not a native English speaker. And by the way that is also an important point. People like Thomas, me and for example lo zio are rather good in English but at the end of the day the English people always have an advantage...in normal dicussions like ours, it is not necessary to have an advantage...but in threads like this.

Lami is the mod in this thread, he's a nice guy and that's the problem...he's too nice for this thread.

I visit this site less and less these days for certain reasons but the amount of childish comments in the thread doesn't exactly entice me to come back. Will definitely be using the report button more often in the future

Please let's keep it in perspective here, it's a thread about a football PC and Console game not an International peace treaty.

I don't like bashing anyone but we seem to have some 'over sensitive' people in here and in this thread in particular, who take a negative comment as some sort of personal slight against them.
As Mart says use the report button if you feel the need to but take this thread and this whole site for what it is, it's not meant to be anything but a football gaming and general gossip and fun forum.
I'd hate to see the Mods acting like Big brother and slapping every negative or silly comment.

Yeah, the animations are critical this year. We know PES2010 is using the same engine, but with smooth and realistic animations it really could feel like a whole different game.

If only they could work the camera in a way that you can enjoy these movements that everybody is talking about, it would be great.

What's the use if the game has great player movement and you can't appreciate it?!

or else I'll have to buy a 50" HDTV!!

PS3 patching goes hand to hand with the piracy....There is no PS3 at the moment that can play burned BR disks...Sony did a tremendous job at anti piracy front. So its either an Xbox360 or PC.

I think we should not have too high expectations about what we get from the E3.
Normally we first get a PR text from Konami which says about what the game generally brings.
Next we get one screenshot, followed by more screenshots.
Only then we get a trailer, followed by some video's.

We are only in the phase after the first screenshot, so we now should expect some more screenshots and at best followed by a trailer.
