Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I guess Bundesliga wont come as licensed, since EA already said something about it. The only chance is the Bundesliga unlicensed, which would make sense, since EA anyway has the exclusive rights over Premier League and still it comes unlicensed in PES...

However, I dont know why from PES6 the Bundesliga never appeared again, even unlicensed...

I think it was because EA or the DFL threatened Konami with a legal action.

Anyway, I hope that an agreement could be found between Konami and the DFL on the use of the players names and appearance.

Konami should try to negociate with the DFL in order to get a partial license ( for example , konami could have the right to use the players names and faces but not the names and logos of clubs, so that EA remains the one having the exclusivity on the full licence).

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I agree, the last two PS2 games have been as bad as the nextgen versions.

Don't think the PS2 version were no where near as bad as the next gen versions! PES6 was soooo much better than the 360 version, and I have both 08 and 09 on PS2 as well, and have to say they are nicer to play than the next gen versions!

However, the earlier versions were easily the best, for me PES3 or PES5, got PES5 in the PS2 at the moment, such a good game! :D But thats what I stated if PES2010 can bring back how I used to love that, would easily play 5 seasons of a crapp ML :D Even more if its been improved significantly! :D

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Psm3 should be explained what they mean BUNDESLIGA is full licensed.
Of course !

On a PES League german forum, konami said that this information (bundesliga fully licensed) wasn't true.

But I doubt PSM3 wrote it without asking to konami before.
On their twitter, PSM3 said about the bundesliga that "konami told them it would be in the game".

Anyway, it's now clear that the bundesliga can't be fully licensed cause EA has an exclusivity...

But perhaps the man(woman?) from konami who told them that it would be in PES 2010 meant that it would be just like the Premier League, but I believe it cannot happen without a tacit agreement between Konami and the DFL (and maybe EA too).

Total irresponsibility of journalists and misleading people. This is a mockery.

Aah get over it.
I want the german league. To hell with the bundesliga.

Btw do you peeps realise that EA's exclusivity deal with the FA expires next year.
Is there anything we as the consumers can do about this to ensure that it isn't exclusive to EA or Konami.

- Write to Konami, asking them to try to get the license (thing that they didn't do this year for the bundesliga).

- Write to the FA, asking them to change the way they give the license ( for example : set a minimal bidding amount, and give the license exclusively to the two highest bidders)

Yeesh so much writing.
Can't we start a petition or something.
I don't want anyone to have exclusivity. It should be a fixed amount that is paid to have the EPL. It could spark the other devs to bring out a football game, 2Ksports, This is Football, SWOS.

I also wonder if EA is going to pay crazy money for exclusivity considering we are in the midst of a global economic recession.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

License exclusivity shouldn't be allowed under EU laws. It should work the same as Sky Sports not being allowed exclusivity on broadcasting Premier League matches. It's no different, other companies should be able to bid.

The Premier League, Bundesliga should set their price and open up their rights to anyone that can afford it.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

One thing i hope they change is the stupid noise you hear when you kick the ball, wtf your playin in a stadium full to the brim with supporters why can you hear the ball gettin kickd?:CURSE:

AND

It would be great if u could change your team in the ML gets so boring playing with the same team.:!

Anyway a friend of mine says the champions league mode is in the ML any1 else hear this?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Exactly Jamezinho.
I'ld imagine it being better business for these leagues to get 2 payments rather than one. And then there's also the added exposure.

If the powers that be at the Premier League had any kind of marketing acumen they would realise that PES is massive in Asia and would be the perfect carrier for their brand in one of their big target markets.

I think KONAMI tried to go for the you are on the pitch i.e. more immersive experience. I'm not saying it's right but maybe that's the case.

And yes it would be great to change teams in the ML

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

There should be sliders for different sound effects so you can adjust the volume of the ball being kicked, ambient pitch volume (players shouting, etc)and crowd noise rather than all being under one sound effects setting.

I would turn down the sound of the ball being kicked as you hardly hear it watching a real game.

That's two pieces of news from that PES editing site that have turned out to be fake (the list of features and the Bundesliga news), let's bear that in mind for the next few months...

The information about the German national team was first revealed by a WENB member who had sent an e-mail to the DFB.

He received their answer yesterday.

The other sites just retrieved the information, so you can be confident :).
