PES2010 discussion thread

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Wow, Konami really did that! I think its great, gives you a whole different feeling in each stadium. In fact I think its already noticalbe in the demo because of the different lightning and stadium shadows (they are not only dark pitch, the whole lightning changes when you go into these spots). Really great!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Very nice touch.

That's the kind of thing EA need to do if they're ever going to win people over.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

imo that's the stuff people mean if they talk about pes having a "soul".

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Nice interview, the guy was straight and honest.
I also wish there was some sort of fantasy football mode for the on line, you have an x amount of money and gotta make up a team you can use on line.

I'd say priority for the on line are two:
1) lag issues of course
2) filters for team selection. it is tiring to meet endless players using barca inter and man united.

UK, October 2, 2009 - Pro Evolution Soccer mastermind Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka has confirmed to IGN that motion controllers such as Natal and PlayStation 3's motion wands will be incorporated in future instalments of the game. Speaking at the European Championships in Nice, Seabass said, "Up until 2009 we believed all the platforms should have the same controls and features. That's no longer the case, because there are specific controllers for different machines, what with Natal and the PlayStation motion sensor system. I cannot say much, but I can say we are looking at integrating those devices into our games very aggressively."

Although he refused to talk specifics, it's apparent the addition of more inclusive control methods is just one step Konami is taking to ensure Pro Evo appeals to the broadest possible audience, with the development team also listening to existing PES players to continually refine the experience. Indeed, Seabass revealed that many of PES 2010's new features – 360-degree control, the tactics sliders and ability cards – came about as a result of player feedback, and that they had a lot of ideas already in progress for next year's game.

But will new features for PES 2011 include next-gen motion control? It's certainly not out of the question, but quite how Natal et al will be implemented into a game with such a traditional control scheme remains to be seen.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I'm seeing a bleakish future for pc gamers when wiggly controllers start taking over, atleast till next gen rolls around.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

This can't be a good thing.

You're going to have people breaking their necks on coffee tables trying to save Beckham freekicks.

#2 is my pet peeve -- so many Barca whores out there - even with PES limited selection of teams, would it kill you to play with Athletico Madrid or Marseille every now and then?

question is, are you playing a person who actually plays like Barca or is it someone who's controlling 10 headless chickens?

must be a lot of barca fans in the uk then who have soft spots for aston villa, spurs, everton etc judging by their xbox gamercards !

I can see his point to be honest, its not cheating of course more like slightly cowardly/ immoral and whos to say he wouldn't beat them type of players if he went them type of teams? he's probably just bored of people taking it too seriously to hide their weak playing skills and wants genuine variety which i would like myself.

tried Fifa 10 online and it was dominated by real madrid, barca, united and now manchester city ! YAWN

well you should of filtered out teams you dont want to play against

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

well tbh it took me about 10 mins to get a game but i got 5 games in a row with 3.5/4 star teams, just luck of finding a game mate

yep. i think its a great idea by ea to put that filter in, konami should do the same

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

yeah defo mate, I think Konami will do it oneday if they get enough requests for it

hope so

teams filter
spectator mode (good for very inexperienced players to watch games and pick up online player tactics )
no lag of course
revamped achievements/ trophys in terms of design and things you have to do)

if all that was in pes 2011 i would be a happy man

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Really hope there are more than 3 camera angles in the full game, I love playing in Broadcast mode.

Actually gonna fork out for this I think, just gotta decide whether I buy it for PS3 or for PC. Hmm.

Whats putting me off from buying it for the PS3 at the mo is that Option Files normally take forever to copy from USB Stick to my PS3, 3 presses x 150+ times = meh.

Also I found the fps drop on replays horrendous on my PS3 in the demo, was the same on PES 09 :(

Actually, THERE IS! I was going to start a thread about this in 2 weeks, but, let's talk about it now.

I'm from Brazil and I developed a control panel so we can play a Master League Online. It started in PS2 and now we have 14 leagues in PES and FIFA, in PS3, PC and Xbox360.

The idea is very simple: you have a team, play matches online and register the result in the control panel. When you win, you'll earn money. With money, you can pay salary and after the season you can negotiate with the others players in the league to sell, buy or trade players. Everything is controlled within the control panel.

Of course, since we're brazilian, the control panel is in Portuguese. But, believing that PES2010 will rock I started to translate the control panel. In the control panel, you can check your players, you can see their atributes (I imported all players and attributes to my database), you can check classification, your next matches, your money and lots of thing.

If anybody wants to see the control panel, you can go to:
http://www.portallbfv.com.br/teste/portal/index.php?p=login
username: guest
password: pes10

The main menu is in english, so you can check the more important parts of the control panel like Classification, Matches, Cups and etc.

I want to start an english master league online so I'm translating it. If anyone wants to know more about it, add me in msn: coragi@gmail.com

PS: if you visit the control panel, be sure to check some player stats. It is in the menu Master League - Team - Manage Players. Choose a player and click it the last icon of the line. It will show all players attributes just like in PES2009 1.00.04.

Next week, I want to start a thread and explain in details how this Master League Online works. But I can assure you one thing: it works!

PS2: There is a bug with firefox that when you log in, the task bar doesn't. If that happens, push F11 twice (fullscreen). The menu will appear. :)
