PES2010 discussion thread

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Tbh, even though Im very cynical, I was quiet surprised by how "unhyped" Adam's preview/hands-on was. Will give the podcast a listen to see if I can hear the beginning of downhyping.

Can't wait for all the video's today!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

You guys are as harsh as always. Actually I don't think also today's videos show great things like improvements as revolution. But remember that, things are progressing differently this year than previous years, it seems that Konami updates the builds more often. So If you guys are dissapointed today, don't think after minor tweaks, this is the game we get. After GC, I think the game will go on progressing significantly.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Yes not so "Grand Olyimpic Oppening", amateurish, but somehow cute actually, very old school

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Hi Sep:))

I hope to God I am wrong, but I seriously doubt it...........I think it is going to be a great improvement, just do not expect any jaw drops when watching it in action.

Exactly. It won't be like "OMG THIS LOOKS LIKE REAL FOOTBALL!!"... it's going to be more like a reasonable "Well it looks like a significant improvement over PES2009 in most aspects".

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Konami really need to impress today. Sadly, I'm not confident they will. I'm confident about the game, but their PR record in the last few years is a disgrace. Their announcements normally serve only to confuse and raise more questions than answers. They have to show extended footage of this game in motion today.

Today is judgement day for them. What we see today is what we will get come October. As long as it is an improvement on Pes2009 then it is a day one purchase for me, especially with the Master League sounding pretty good.

They aren't gonna put the Mestalla in when it's gonna be demolished soon (well...construction money on the new stadium has ran out for the time being...)

You never know. EA have kept Juve's Stadio delle Alpi in Fifa10 despite it closing in 2006. I don't think Valencia will be leaving the Mestalla any time soon. They are in financial crisis.

I think the guys here are realistic, and judge the game fairly. It's not their (or my) mistake to show the tough love for the game because we want our great football game back. If Konami makes mistakes, there must be somebody to criticise them.

i think what we will see is konami starting to get back to making a great game,it just might take a few more years to get it perfected

And what you do is a great thing. What I mean is it seems that finally Konami trying something fans always want. I don't know if tey can manage or not, but ı think Konami deservs some credit... Anyway, waiting videos, then everything will be more concrete..

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

no problem;)

Some impressions:
PS3 version very bad graphically compared to PC, but more fluid, only atm I think
Game is really hard, GK better, scored only one goal, freekick Xavi
Teams are, France, Liverpool, Barca and ... Germany!

Stadiums only Anfield, but all weather settings; no snow here...

Graphics are great;)

OK:)

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

animations are much improved, really:)

Seabass is here btw!!!

He is walking around the konami stand;)
I took a PES 5 box for him to sign it:D

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Yeah the only thing that matters is animations...Nothing else. Please tell us about running and turning!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Ball is really not glued to the feet of the players, more like FIFA (though I`m not a regular FIFA player), turns are very hard and you`ll lose the ball fast...

About Seabass, does he speak English?!
Anyway, I`ll try later;)

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Whats' the crossing like PATe.Arminia?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

mine's better:P

crossing: hm, normal, everything is harder really, I'll take a closer look on crossing;)
