Nice posters !
Thanks, but the credit goes to ChatGPT although it did need about 30 prompts to get it right in the end

Villarreal are great to use in 2008. Did you stick with the default formation?I've just started a Liga season with Villareal on WE 2008 (5-star difficulty).
So far 3 games and 4 points.
Defeat 0-1 vs Malaga
Victory 2-1 vs Getafe
Draw 0-0 vs Real Madrid

It's my favourite Spanish team.
Default tacic, yes.
And manage the line-up depending on players condition and arrows.
I use Roman as RM or LM.
Senna is always in my starting eleven, as well as Rossi.
I alternate between Tomasson and Nihat for the 2nd striker.
Are you on real hardware or using some sort of a patch ? Which WE2008 are you playing ?I've just started a Liga season with Villareal on WE 2008 (5-star difficulty).

.psu on FreeMcBoot.@geeeeee Just reloading your marvellous iso and option file but having trouble with the latter. Can you please remind me what format the option file needs to be if using Free McBoot on OG PS2?
Many thanks.
Thanks. I'll give it another go..psu on FreeMcBoot.
It has to be in a SAVE folder. The iso should be in a DVD folder.
Thanks. I'll give it another go.
Edit: I think that's the problem. I'm on mac and when I download the option file, it's not .psu format. Is there a convertor or can someone PM me the .psu format file?
Much appreciated.
@geeeeee Thanks. Yes, that's the one. Having trouble converting it.... which is all down to me not being the most tech of types!Hi @reinelt97 sorry I have just seen your message. I will have a look tomorrow (actually today damn these world cup games are late 😅)
What file is it? Is it the 24-25 season?
Hey @reinelt97 have you tried downloading any of the SLES versions because they are psu files?@geeeeee Thanks. Yes, that's the one. Having trouble converting it.... which is all down to me not being the most tech of types!

Please let me know how you get on?
Hi @geeeeee
Thanks for your help. I downloaded the SLES PSU file, copied it over my existing file on my PES 2008 save but still no luck. I could have sworn I did this before but I can't recall how.

Did it! I think the problem was a cheeky "1" that had somehow attached itself to the end of the file name.Just to confirm, what are you playing on?

Thanks @geeeeee Fantastic work. And coincidently, nice to see your suped-up PES 2008 on the excellent Chorizo Machine Youtube channel. Shout out to Mike!
I had high hopes when an editor was released to make PES6 option files compatible with PES2008. However, it seems no one was interested in converting them, so nothing was shared. This thread got awfuly quiet
The databases are different. The face id's are different, ... You'd need to make an inventory of all player id, team id, face id, ... for each game and set a link between both games. And then define your own rules : what if a player is licensed in game but not in the other (and vice versa), what if he has a face id in a game but not in another, ... Also the handling of duplicate players isn't the same in both games.I had high hopes when an editor was released to make PES6 option files compatible with PES2008. Even if you did convert it you have to build faces orden same as pes 6 so you will have lot of player with wrong faces .. thats the problem, im working on pes 2008 patch for USA , its seems the best version of that game since its released very late on march that year .. sometimes its even harder to convert from pes 2008 European to USA because there’s some quiet differences, but i make it in the end, trust me its so hard to do soI had high hopes when an editor was released to make PES6 option files compatible with PES2008. Well you cant did convert database directly from european or winning eleven 2008 to do it i had to track the players till i found some additional players that get removed in usa version , i think thats why theres no software to edit on pes 2008 usa .What differences did you notice between the US and European versions of PES 2008?
