PES 2019 News Discussion Thread (INSULTS/DIGS = INSTANT BAN)

Playing against Top Player or Higher has been absolutely horrible the past few years. I get especially mad about the laser guided passing by players with 62 overall when playing in the Serie B for example. I don't get why Konami can't add something like this in so at least the L1+Triangle passes the CPU play aren't as OP:

MLP2E3i.png
This thing has plagued master league for the past 4 years, even in pes 2013 i still get this, low tier teams turning into real madrid or barcelona and you simply can t do anything, the only thing you can do is not play and keep passing the ball all the match to at least take a draw and not get hammered by those laser guided one touch passes which make no sense
I simply cant watch anymore of these pes 2019 vids, there are no fouls for christ sake people, there are no midfield closing in on you, there is no physicality, and if there is a barge it s a no foul and game will continue, man i just don t understand how people want this...how can anyone want to play a football game for just making three passes to be through on goal...it is just baffling

Glad the demo is nearly here.
Hopefully everyone who don’t like the game can say their piece and leave people who do like it to enjoy it.
Never seen so much negativity over something than none of you (bar those invited) have played.
That’s the Internet now days I guess.
I’ve not played pes for 3 years but I’ll come into the demo not expecting much and hopefully I’m pleasantly surprised.
Just a thought - maybe a demo thread for people to say what they think etc??

I don t think the negativity is without any reason,
Let me ask you a question:
Have you seen any improvements to gameplay or AI or more fouls since pes 2016?
To me this is still same gameplay since pes 2016, at least the basic faults are still there:
1-no.midfield battles
2- no fouls
3- way too assisted basic shooting and pa1 passing, press square from anywhere and ball will hit the target.
no shot variety,although im waiting on that to see the demo first if it changed
4- cpu attacking variety, cpu always looks for bottom corner to score, no high shots etc like older pes.
I think negativity has a reason here, i m not trying to convince people who like the game, but i guess many people agree on what i am saying

Would love if there are smoke and flags as much as this in the game, the supporters in game seems like they are coming to watch a friendly for peace, the game does need a lot of flags added to the stands..
Even when they showcased Boca's and River's stadiums in one of those trailers a couple of years ago, they never conveyed that South American derby day feel such a fixture would have.. The crowd seem really civil for such a tie.

Yeah yeah game definitely needs more flags, more smoke, more hardcore supporters in the stands, as i said it feels like you are watching a friendly for unicef

Was that when they had the celebration of the fans leaning down to the players who were celebrating, but then when it was released it happened as every ground?

Yep its all on 0 game speed, to me as someone that played the game it looks just as slow as the other 4 I put out. Its really weird. I get DM's of people asking me if this is -2 or -1 speed because it looks slower, to you it looks faster. Its crazy how diverse the reactions are of the gamespeed. Thats a really weird thing this year with people watching all the vids.

Looking forward to seeing you all play the demo in a week
Yeah really weird. I asked you this becouse if pes is played on different speed than 0 you get different game but gameplay always is best at 0 as dev wanted to be. In fifa if you choose two good teams game by default is faster no matter if ypu play on slow. I hope this is not the case with this years pes also

I know what your on about but I was talking about when they was highlighting that different stadiums would have a different cultural feel and showed the Argentine derbys but when you'd play as them in the final game, it's no different to playing at the Konami stadium between 2 English clubs.

I seem to remember watching @Matt10 PES sims on youtube and he'd be playing on -2 and I'd think that looked really cool and realistic but when I played it on my own TV, it felt too slow like I was playing football on the moon.

I don't like playing at a different speed than the default one, 0. Playing at +1 or +2 makes my head hurt because it's too fast, playing at -1 or -2 i see animations being too slow or the ball moving slower than it should be. 0 is always the intended way to play the game, that's how they develop the game and changing that brings some side effects to the gameplay.

Little ot coming:
I was playing AO Tennis last night for the first time. The game is 5/10, nothing special, but before the first match (Isner vs Anderson) I had a PES flash...!! This game features a coin toss!! :) how I wished. Just saying. ;)

So I’m waiting for the news today. Come on...! Give us something!

edit: lets kick off the day... ;)

Feed it back to Konami and the community managers, instead of pushing it at someone You think likes the game.

That is where this thread goes badly wrong.

Im not stoking a fire here at all, but of those of you who play 2018 do you feel it is smooth? I constantly feel I am battling activated animations. This is my big hope for 2019 that this doesnt happen.

That and the sanitised atmosphere of games. The game just doesnt excite me. I hope that changes here too

Alright after some digging on both FIFA and PES, both of them seem to have this issue. PES seems to have it worst.

CPU vs CPU::::
Code:
Superstar(PES 10 mins)::
Coventry 1 - 0 Real Madrid
4(2):                3(3)
58%:                42%
93%:                87%

Professional(PES 10 mins)::
Coventry 0 - 2 Real Madrid
1(0):                8(6)
38%:                62%
86%:                90%

Superstar(FIFA 10 mins)::
Coventry 0 - 1 Real Madrid
2(2):                3(1)
48%:                52%
90%:                94%

Professional(FIFA 10 mins)::
Coventry 0 - 3 Real Madrid
0(0):                10(9)
34%:                66%
82%:                91%

Clearly it looks like stats are capped due to difficulty. That's pretty interesting. It makes the worst team, the best team even CPU vs CPU.

That's it! In PES 2018 I often had no problems against good teams (on the paper), but I always struggled against the teams who are at the last places of the league. It annoyed me that the team on the 20th place played like Barcelona against me. (playing on top player)

I was a -1 or even -2 player, but lately I've been starting to think that modifying speed fucks up a bit the game, indeed. It's like animations or other physics can't all stay as coherent/can't all adapt to the slower speed in the same way, while at 0 as it is in fact supposed to originally be, it's all smooth and in place.

Not saying it's surely like that, it's just mainly a perception of course, although a very strong one to me.

I don't see myself battling against the animations, it is smooth. I felt like battling against animation with Pes 2014, i had to wait that the animation made its cycle before the player could react to the input.

I agree about the atmosphere though. There is no excitement coming from the crowd, or commentary, it feels boring most of the time. They could add some flags ingame. I saw in these Pes 2019 videos they added many more flags before the match starts, but ingame they all disappear, i don't know why. The one positive i saw it's that crowd in Pes 2019 at least seem to be more active, jumping, moving, you can see a bit more movement.

good stuff, we need more, like this showing why today's PES isn't great like old PES. All that stuff shouldn't overrule player stats.

In reference to the posts about how there is no difference between playing the top teams and the weaker teams, just thought I'd post my take on it.

Say the correct skill level based on a teams stats is set correctly on Regular difficulty. Barcelona are the best on Regular for example and Bolton are the worst. Barcelona on regular still have a great pass completion rate and score more of their shots on goal because their rating is high. Bolton on the other hand are the opposite and have a lower pass completion and can barely score.

However each time you increase difficulty, how else can you make the game harder wothout upping each team's stats in the background? There's not much more you can increase Barcrlona's stats, but with Bolton there is much greater headroom. By the time you get to Superstar difficulty, Bolton will naturally be much closer to Barcelona than they were at Regular difficulty as Barcelona probably maxed out at Professional or Top Player.

I play on Professional these days and definitely see a difference between the weaker teams and the top teams. Unfortunately you can't make a football game harder without making the weaker teams closer in performance to the top teams. Barca with 95% pass completion on Regular can't improve much further, Bolton on 75% can. Difficulty goes up and the difference between teams lessens.

I got really curious with your results so I tested it out.
I'm not sure if I set up the CPU vs CPU properly. I set the first player to coach mode. Normal form arrow. Player's emotion=OFF.

These are my results:

SUPERSTAR- Very even match. I didn't try Barca in coach mode as I only thought of it when I tested Professional difficulty.

PROFESSIONAL-
Aside from one draw, team in coach mode wins.

Ibrox coming via DLC .

That's going to be an epic DLC when it's available!

Can imagine Bhatti and Tanvir being hounded for the release date from about mid August

Last year the first dlc was released one month later, that's when they will update the kits. Stadiums were released in November. This year DP1 should be released at the end of September, stadiums in October.

The opposite happens too with Jangjuv and Daniel getting frustrated with anyone that does not love PES.

Daniel causes arguments everywhere he goes a quick google search shows, no smoke without fire? Now he is trolling Evo-Web too.

p.s Great news about Rangers who are on the up, but PLAYER ID is required to make these licenses mean anything.

Good job KONAMI. That's what we need - stadiums, more stadiums! I wish we get Estadio de Dragao and Da Luz back either. Also I hope the stadium's atmosphere it's gonna be improved as well as I can't imagine to play Celtic vs Rangers at Celtic Park with the atmosphere we have now on PES 2018..

This is where Konami annoy. They are releasing game earlier than ever but as usual you are getting a half finished game.
Why not release in Oct and have everything you need to make game completely done.
People who support Rangers are having to wait a possible 6 weeks to get their stadium if previous years are anything to go buy.
Complete the game and release it. Not before.
