PES 2019 News Discussion Thread (INSULTS/DIGS = INSTANT BAN)

Disappointing tbf, from an online pov.
The game hasn't moved away from this easy one touch passing. It's still all about getting the ball to the attackers as fast as possible (too easy to do). Once there, 1st touch pass - play it round the defender for a 1-2 play it through. Rinse and repeat. Throw in all those perfect backheels, and it's the same gameplay as previous yrs I'm seeing here.

1-2's still look so imbalanced. So easy to spam & cut the defence to shreds.

If the passing is more free this yr, I haven't seen any evidence to support it from all these vids.
Have yet to see a goal scored that would create any positive emotion if I were to have scored it, which is not a good sign.
Hope the demo changes my mind.

He says that this demo is more assisted than the E3 demo

He says:

As last year, Konami has increased assistance of the game in this new version. In contrast with the E3 2018 version where it was really difficult to take a shot or make a quick pass, in this version everything has been tweaked with more assistance.

I want to warn you:don't be surprised that the game is now more assisted compared to the E3 version demo, there have been many playtests since then and plenty of press guys and players probaly didn't like that kind of difficulty of E3 version
If that is indeed the case, will anyone around here be surprised even slightly? I mean, this is basically their standard.

P.S. The game does look assisted as fuck...like last year assisted as fuck.

I can't deny how absolutely stunning that looks.

That dude knows what he is talking about too, quality player.
Plays a lot of manual.

Used to watch his Pes 15 vids, he'd destroy the Bayern, Barca & R. Madrid users online with 2 star teams like Yokohama or China lol.

And did it in the best way, by playing really entertaining creative football. Wish Konami would listen more to feedback from Pes players like this.

He's hardly touched the game since '15.

This goal perfectly sums up what is missing in the current day football games, just watch, amazing the unpredictibility in old school PES
Pes 2013 top player, basic shooting

I like the looseness and ball physics, players weight and everything. Game looks like its not on rails at all anymore. So i'm happy with that.

Concerns are the passing seems really easy, but i don't know if these guys deliberately went straight to PA3 which seems to be the standard for many online players.

As for fouls, well the formations here are just a total mess plus the defending isn't great so your not going to get fouls when passing is so easy and there is so much space to exploit. Fouls happen when games are even in a basic sense woven into a level of tightness. So i really can't judge that yet.

Really unsure if the horrible defending is down to bad formation setup since teams are overly compact in the middle without the usual organisation.

I saw this gameplay. It's really a complete arcade game. It takes three to four passes to reach the goal. And the gameplay speed is even higher. The culprits are the testers who test the game. This game was closed to me. In general all football games have gone online and a game of the arcade. The truth is bitter.

E3 code was much better. Much better

So... this video confirms what I suspected and talked about here MONTHS ago.
The so called "Dynamic Lighting" is nothing but a gimmicky name. Games will start one way (like in broad daylight) in the first half and then it will change at the second half (to afternoon for example). Nothing in real time. No shifting shadows. No moving of the sun. NOTHING like in the first trailer. What a bunch of liers. Then they go and discredit EA because they release CGI generated screenshots and trailers, but Konami are guilty of presenting things one way when it won't be like that at all. I'm frustrated and angry.

i dont even see any difference in lighting in that vid. both halfs are under night light just the first starts during the end of the sunset behind the stadium. no major changes should be seen on the pitch

messi shirt off (under shirt)!?:

Yeah.
Now, let's rewind a little bit.

When you go back and watch that trailer, what does it suggest?.

I did think the newer videos looked more assisted, didn't mention it just in case it was confirmation bias on my part. Now there are reports that more or less confirm it. It's absolutely soul-crushing despite it's tedious inevitability.

What are you talking about mate? I see nothing "dynamic" in that image. The shadows on player faces and "sun" lighting have always been on PES?.
an image can't be dynamic... a gif can! ;)
what i meant is: when the keeper is turning, the sun in his face is dynamic/moving over his face/his head, casting a shadow at different parts of the body! if it was exactly like that in last years version... then im done. :)
i dont know what konami will make of "dynamic" enlighten stuff... we'll see.

Ffs, I knew it. That there just made me lose all hype I had for this game. So tired of these asshats dumbing this game down and not having a vision of their own. I'm going for NHL and Mario Tennis instead. Sayonara!

Yeah I see, but as far as I know, PES has always had THAT type of shadow/indirect lighting.

Events in Istanbul and Colombia seem to confirm Turkish and Colombian are those 2 more leagues. Very nice.

I'm just curious will they be on launch or in data pack like i was afraid/predicted. And if they're data pack, how will this affect Master League and saves and database.
Would be cool if we could manage the CL/EL structure when we launch the game, aka set how much berths each of the league gives to the competition, rather than the game per-determining based on the overall of the teams. And a manuel draw for CL/EL.

That's all a bit disheartening, but not surprising one bit.. if confirmed, it would just be Konami doing what Konami always did. Luckily I practically had no hype at all to begin with so if it's all true I'll try the demo and leave the full game where it belongs.

This is the same guy who wrote the gameplay was ruined because it was too slow, guess what, he played the new build and now he is extremely happy. I wonder why? These guys are a disgrace for Pes.

Utter disgrace indeed. That's the people that contributes the most to ruin the saga.

Pass error is non-existent now. Even the really nice variability on through balls. Absolute and utter bastards, the people who fed back and Konami for listening.

8:00 on this video sums it up:

Dembele takes a heavy touch, ball hasn't even hit the deck, with a defender right in his face he threads an inch perfect defence-splitting through ball on his right foot.

As i said before, if you take a look at these guys at community events you see they are nothing like active players and going from age and body shape they never stood on a pitch in their whole life. Somehow they seem to water down the basics of the E3 code with unqualified feedback and the Konami devs have no other choice instead of tweaking it.

I am lucky as a full manual player, but i feel so sorry for all others with have to put up with these child-friendly arcade controls and are downright pushed towards FIFA with its sublime controlling scheme and sliders options.

Yes, it's a gimmick!
Not expecting much on the dynamic lighting.
It's more of just the game starts late in the afternoon where we can still see the sun casting shadows on the players.. and then on the second half, the pitch is now covered on the stadium shadows since it's almost evening.

Uh oh. Looks like it's regressing. Backheels are perfect again, and those passes to the flanks with that perfectly weighted through pass are in again. Need more video though. Still some good things, but not welcoming the PES 2018 reminders...

I hope there is a way to deactivate this crap, because i highly prefer to play with conditions matching my environment.
