Master League had a lot of stuff from 10 to 13 that they took away later in the "next" gen. Sponsors, stuff, scouting, players morale. You may dislike the games as much as you like but it was all there, it's not up to debate.

By the way, not only it was the most atrocious, horrible soccer game to ever come out in proportion with his technology, but Fifa 97 had no proper career at all.. lol. There were just generic tournaments and leagues with an external "editor" for transfers.. I do remember well as this piece of crap was my first football game ever, unfortunately :DD. I think a career with proper transfers and stuff in Fifa came only somewhere in the early 2000's.

Yeah to be fair after looking it up it appears I got my wires crossed somewhere, it does look basic and atrocious must've been thinking on a football manager game back then on consoles, can't remember the name but it was something 97.

That 3rd place for West Ham sure is realistic. Tbh i think the whole screenshot is staged.

In the past pre-release trailers, we can see that konami can easily manipulate a trailer and with a simple switch replace models and players performing a scripted action, so i'm sure they did the same with these screens, just messed up originally somehow with which logo to put.

PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2019.

I remember ISS Pro Evolution 2 where oddly some player names were in all Caps and I think most were 1st letter uppercase the rest lowercase. To me it looks a bit... well lazy?

In a similar vein, there are players with full names; players with an initial and players with just a surname. That's also pure laziness and would be surely easily fixed with an option for first and last names.

Again it's a little thing that some more favourable towards Konami might shrug at and not their priority, but the overall package suffers.
 
To be honest i like what i ve seen from the gameplay , barcelona vs liverpool, finished 2-3 to liverpool, some impressive variation of shots and goals, it feels different, that suarez volley hitting the post and in..still the ball feels too zippy travelling around and the pass speed need to be less.

Me as well, although i don´t care about fantasy crap like playing with Maradonas vs. Beckhams i don´t mind it as an additional feature - as long it is secured you can play halfway decent seasons and cups with authentic procedures. At the moment it seems that KONAMI drags the game continously into some kind of fairy tale soccer far off the things going on in the divisions worldwide.

Would be nice to have the iconic Stade Louis II back in the game. The situation with Stadiums, especially ones that don't appear in either game but once did is frustrating.

In '18 we've gone back to literally having no French Stadiums. Now France are World Champions that could hopefully change.
 
Surprising that they've given it so little love over the years despite it being licensed for so long. Same with Eredivisie.

I think one thing that most believe deep down which is more important than menus and capital letters etc is that Pro Evolution Soccer has not had any soul since 2013.

The games are not truly exhilarating anymore. Sometimes i am bored whilst playing friends and almost apologetic about the goals i score.

From videos this game looks very similar to 14-18 and that does not fill me with Hope.
