PES 2019 Discussion Thread (PS4, XB1)

Ah if there only was a dislike button here...

Faces became a synonym of progress and game polishing for Konami. Every patch is mainly just faces and people are jumping around like it was Xmas.
Seems like, so called "limited" resources are just focused on players eyebrows instead of fixing the bloody gameplay.

We are over half way through Pes19 life cycle and Im still to see:

- penalty
- low shot from AI
- star players tricks and skills

As much as I can ignore some things and still find some sort of a joy from playing it, these Data Packs announcements annoy the living shit out of me...
"Hey!!! Look where we focused all our efforts last two months!!! Look at this bloke jaw line!!! This game is perfection!!!"
Fuck off..

That’s what came to my mind first. Really.
It’s shame.

Edit:
I really wish I was involved!! Man, that game!!

I've been thinking the same. As I thought OK, part of realism is in accurate faces so ye focus some time there, but in reality 90% of the time you are playing a match and just seeing players from a distance. So surely most focus and realism is seen by creating players that don't just have the right faces but the right movements and playstyle! Research that Messi dribbles on average 5 times per match and then code that into the game that he will attempt 5-8 dribbles per game and he will mostly move here on the pitch and do these tricks and passes and shot types more often. Then program that Manchester City will play like this and Cardiff different like this. That is realism, not just a different face and team slapped on the exact same computer operated player 8000 times.

Α problem noticed, it is present in every ML i think and it is cause of half-baked implementation and in continuation of this post of @Chris Davies . I know it is pointless to mention it, as it will never be fixed.
When you acquire a player "in loan" , let's say in summer transfer window, and you have him in starting XI, he starts adapting to your team's play-style and the TEAM SPIRIT goes on. You can try and buy him in mid-season, in November. So until 31 December the player is considered as "loaned", but he develops with your team, When you reach 31 December, let's assume that you have 77 TS.When you past to 1 January, the player goes from "Loaned" to "bought" player and in the negotiations page, he just goes from "other teams" to "my teams" page. This is the only change that should happen, as despite he was on "loan", he was all the time there in your starting squad, playing for you and raising your Team Spirit.
But in the world of Master League it does not happen simply like this. The players TS attributes are reverting to default as you acquired him for the first time. Without having anything changed except the change from "loan" to "buy", you see your TS going from 77 to 70, for example. Also if you had him under training for a position or to learn a "skill card" and there were some weeks until he finishes his training, the training is deleted completely, as you never trained him the previous weeks.

Why we don't talk about ML price players?

Doesn't matter if you have 22 years old or 37 and the Overall is the same, the players cost the same price

Why nobody talk about how it's easy buy players like Firmino or De Bruyne or Dybala...

Why we don't talk about that if you count the first 2000 players from the highest one for Overall at least 1300 have a release clause?this is a crap from my point of view.

You buy the player not cause you pay for his value, but just because you pay HIS RELEASE CLAUSE.

And then you can buy players even if they are "on loan" in reality in another club.

For example it's like that you can buy easily a player that is 'on loan" in As Roma, but his belong to Juventus...this is awfull...at least in Fifa players transfers and value are close to reality

After God knows how many attempts and two recent defeats against them in the League and the FA Cup final I was finally able to beat Liverpool in ML on Superstar. Didn’t think it was possible. And of all encounters it had to be the CL Final! Poor Kloppo, lost again! Luckily I recorded it. Though I played this on the PC, please allow me to post it here, with a nod to @PRO_TOO and @Emroth for their perseverance in showing me the good things in this game :) This has to be the biggest achievement in my PES history. Hurray!

Keys to victory turned out to be the 'Wing Back' instruction, which effectively cut off Liverpool's passing lanes on the flanks and attacking through the middle for a change (All goals first half.)

That's a bummer. I thought licensing for gaming was all about the difference between image rights etc. if it was a 3D representation including faces, and none if it's a management-style game (e.g. Football Manager) that is generic models (and/or 2D).

Would be great to start a career in J-League D2...
It would be! It would be even better, just imo of course if we Also (that is not instead of, but added to the current situation) get the option to make our own custom d2 just like the old days. As I always play in the eredivisie I'm stuck in d1 limbo. It feels really "off" to play without promotion or relegation as success / European football is way too easy to attain and there is no consequence if you finish dead last. Because of this i always start in the championship until i work my way up to the premier league and after that, European football. Then I request a transfer to Ajax but unfortunately this still means no relegation and no variation in cpu teams. I used to love when I had a bizarro D2 league with Turkish, Swedish, Greek clubs and whatnot. I know I could transfer the teams over and replace the French ligue 2 for example but that feels too contrived.

I think the only thing that can "save" offline footy (pes) gaming without Konami having to shift focus too much is: give us options. Give us sliders so we can tweak anything and everything and give us a far broader and deeper editing mode so we can make our own d2's. Then the onliners can have their 1000mph no fouls mash em up and we can have whatever it is that we want.

I wouldn't have that much of a problem with faces if they would look like that ingame. But the thing with Pes and Faces is that they look stunning in edit mode or pictures like above. But ingame at celebrations they look like shit with that weird mouth movement. So what's the point of having these great faces when they look ass in game?!

It was never better than in PES 2011. I don't understand why konami needs to change things that worked so well.

Issue is they build PES 2014 from scratch and the older system from PES 2011-2013 wasn't possible with the new physics an animation engine. The older engine didn't have that.

Its literally taken them 5 years to even get near PES 2011's or PES 2013's system and they are still quite some way off.

No post in a while, just wanted to share the latest in my misadventures in PES2019 online.

i've been pretty poor lately and dropped down from lofty heights of division 5 to division 8 whilst playing full manual with no opponent filters. In the latest season I had 1099 points, so couldn't get relegated but needed a hefty 901 points to get promoted. Naturally the only option is to pick the worst team in the game Police Tero and go for the win.

Enjoy.

:DRUNK:

After a couple of days of trying to get back into this i've had too many 'bullshit' moments and think i'm done now. With that being said, in a match full of those 'bullshit' moments, this may very well be the last goal I score.

What is a problem put in DLC:

1. New licensed balls

2. Scoreboards for each leagues

3. Chants supporters

For 10 years they give us new faces and boots. Dont get it...
Because they are not so good like our modders @Hawke for balls @chosefs for scoreboards @predator002 for chants, just to tell some of them). They prefere to use their time make useless patches to destroy hours and hours of works of patch makers! Bahhhhhh!!!! Look at the latest patch for example! A patch for removing 4.songs!!!!! And now (7 of february) another patch so we have to restart again! Thanks Konami.

Didnt write here for some time even if I am present and read what members post. I don`t know what is the company structure in Konami and is there any hierarchy? From iconic game on older consoles Pes became the most unprofessional product on the market. Why the hell they release licenced stadiums after 6 months after releasing the game? Why sales going down every year, why kids who are actually biggest part of the audience play fifa and don`t even look in pes? If that is my firm big part of that company will be fired and instead of them I will hire people who are actually passionate about the game and bring pes where it belongs, on top!
