I would say ball curve and trajectory variation related to shooting positions, foots, etc.. richer in the other game on basic.

The foul system wasn't great but if you dribbled a certain way you were able to get more freekicks but some claimed that it didn't existThis was said about fouls as well, And Catch up bug in the past (Blame the user)
I respect each of your opinions ... I still feel that going full manual shooting shouldn't be the ONLY option to see the best out of the game... People who play with assisted will miss out on the "Greatness" that y'all experiencing..
the shooting options are just like the sliders some want for every aspect of the game. if you don't like the current shooting option you are using then why not try to master the other which gives more of what you are looking for??Well if that's the case then that's the case. Don't really think there is much to add.
Nobody is insisting you try, more that folk are just offering up their take when they do use manual or advanced shooting. While I don't intend to use basic shooting ever again, because it likely won't ever stray that far from what it literally is now, "Basic Shooting", I can appreciate the concerns of those who do use it. To an extent.
People, rightly, demanded more control over shooting more than a few years ago now. Konami have offered that with not one, but two other options since PES 2014. I despised Advanced Shooting at first, then fully committed to it from about the second half of my time playing PES 2016 onwards. So far as how it works, it feels logical to me now, but it is what it is regardless.
There was a dude in another thread who asked me why I am such an advocate for Advanced Shooting and will likely try answer that question gor him in here later.
My strength aswell is more in wide play and headers but that is on pa1, i simply couldn t get the hang of manual crossing, manual shots are nice but many times i end up doing a fast tiki taka move inside the box with the shot going to the corner flag instead of on target....I strongly disagree with the post by shez.
My game strength without any doubt is crossing & headers, all entirely possible, especially downwards.
Also You can round the keeper.
I also note someone said You cannot score from narrow angles, that is not true.Try a hard shot at the keeper from the byline, a deflection in is totally possible.
Practice makes perfect!
this absolutely need and overhaul and new ideasI've been playing Pes 2017 a lot lately and can really notice the scripting in Ml and can tell which way the match will go from the first couple of minutes. . .the mistake they make with scripting is that instead of having a player or 2 from your team making errors. . . the whole team makes errors at the same time which is unrealistic and stands out as being choreographed . .I mean come on . .. every player misplacing passes and mistiming tackles at the same time?
I was reading the following article lately (as I like the MGS series a lot) and one thing came to my mind: the core element of that article discribes how I play PES. it's not about victory, its about how I get satisfaction out of this game WHILE playing it. Defeating an "enemy" is the main factor when playing soccer. Sure, you want to win.
But as in real life (I play myself some amateurish soccer at low level) I enjoy the game! ...sometimes realizing that only after the game is over.
I don't have a problem loosing... I like to win though, but to me (i repeat myself) the way is the reward.
It's a good read... even if it's ot! Sorry.

But I just had this thought and needed to tell you.

Going full manual makes all the players equal, Which is even worse tbh when you can split the defence with passes from a centreback. Or score amazing efforts with players with very low stats.
It doesn t make a difference actually because only difference u can see btw players is btw strikers, strikers who have good jump and can scores headers more than others, since there is no variety in shooting, shooting with any player feels the same btw all, thats why i feel it has no satisfaction many times when u score....I never found that to be the case shez . ..I play manual and found players will play to the strengths of their stats. .. that's why I'm very careful who I buy on ML . ..if it was the way that you're claiming you could buy anybody and it wouldn't make a difference..
And that would also apply on defenders defending.I never found that to be the case shez . ..I play manual and found players will play to the strengths of their stats. .. that's why I'm very careful who I buy on ML . ..if it was the way that you're claiming you could buy anybody and it wouldn't make a difference..

One of the best ideas I've ever heard.I just had a weird idea, why don't Konami buy the rights to clubs old defunct stadiums like Highbury? I'd imagine EA don't have those rights anymore. They could probably be purchased cheaply as they don't exist anymore and if Konami leased the exclusive rights for 20+ years then EA can't steal them away like they did with the Spanish stadiums a few years ago.
They'd then be able to use the same stadium cad models for all future games and I think it would be a nostalgic selling point for a lot of fans.
They could even sell a retro stadium DLC pack like this...
Arsenal - Highbury
West Ham - Upton Park
Man City - Maine Road
West Ham - Upton Park
Juventus - Stadio delle Alpi
Ajax - De Meer
Southampton - The Dell
Lyon - Stade de Gerland
