I saw this video yesterday and seriously, the body of players, the thickness of the line, the grass texture repetition, the thickness of the nets, the darkness of the light and the ball physic are just a joke !![]()
This is what i mean about 3d grass.
it really looks good.
So free. For those that played the PES 2014 leaked demo and remember it this is like the finished version of that in terms of ethos of what Konami was trying to achieve but they couldn't because they didn't have enough animations and couldn't get response times right to compliment the physics and inertia. Jose noticed some minor stuff today I didn't see before and he'll talk about it on the podcast but all was fed back to Konami.
Baners in FIFA looks much better and more realistic than Pes. Pes baners looks silly...I saw this video yesterday and seriously, the body of players, the thickness of the line, the grass texture repetition, the thickness of the nets, the darkness of the light and the ball physic are just a joke !![]()
Are they mentioned in this video? I can't watch at the moment, at work!AI misplaced passes ?
I don't see what's silly about a banner at a football game that says "celery"...Baners in FIFA looks much better and more realistic than Pes. Pes baners looks silly...
Yeah and the flags in the crowd and the short mouvementBaners in FIFA looks much better and more realistic than Pes. Pes baners looks silly...
They are still working on the left stick dribble to make it look more real and less stuttery/slidey as you see in trailer with Coutinho they want it to look even more realistic works awesome looks fine to me but just my opinion.
Watching the IGN vid, it really does look smooth and much improved but pretty much the very first attack had my head shaking. if you look from 1:30 ish, Greizmann has the ball in acres of space and the AI liverpool defenders literally have a brain spasm. look how they end up, and the two attackers on the left of the box???
I dunno man there's a lot of good but definitely some weirdness too.
Edit, pretty sure the AI must be at a lowish level, just seen the liverpool winger randomly run the ball out for a goal kick
edit#2 Greizmann blasting it over at 7:40 looks promising for shooting variation
You are very detailed in your tactical analysis and yeah after you pointed it out i noticed that AI tends to give spaces at midfield. It seems like they just have two behaviours:gather around the penalty area and going all out forward while attacking. Keep pointing that on twitter. They see no wrong, but there's obviously something wrong about CPU AI.Default FIFA is built on off the ball runs opening up space. If you just look at the PES defensive line, you will see that they are already giving up space, which allows the runs to be made as well. Compression seems like it will have to be manufactured via tactics, like defensive height raised and removing gegenpress, like B said.
Weird you say this, I was thinking about how I would summarise PES 2017 (and what I want for 2018), and had a look at my PES 2017 review:Let me put that this way, this year PES would be like other two versions (16,17) when they came out.
Us, who loves PES will still play it because FIFA simply sucks and after a while we will get bored because gameplay, AI and modes will disapoint again.
In other words, there wasn't much change other than the gameplay, and I could absolutely give it a pass on that, because the gameplay needed the attention (IMO - didn't like the previous games). It became the best it ever has been (I still believe that). The focus this year, then, has been entirely on gameplay - and no matter what else could be considered missing, the gameplay is the bedrock of a game like PES.
Years of potential that weren't backed up with enough execution, have finally lead to a game where everything on the pitch has truly "clicked". What's off it can wait for another day.
Genuinely, if you still get retired players in your youth intake again this year, I can't play it. I don't care about graphics, I don't care about petty things, but if I'm getting a "17 year old" youth player called John Terry (with the face of Herbert the Pervert from Family Guy), no. Stop making these ridiculous fantasy decisions - or give us a switch to turn it off.As discussed in the ML thread, if youth development stays the same, master league is a 5 seasoner max yet again so yeah I agree ML needs to be looked at.
animations and shooting do look much much more natural than 2017, i hope it s gonna be good, looks great to me, the player are less on rails ball is more loose not close to the player etc, for me the thing in pes 2017 i didnt like is the total absence of player individuality, this is after playing the game a lot , players feel faster than others but there is no individuality, add to that the shooting after a while gets a tad easy and repetitive. Most of the visuals and gameplay looks like PES 2017. Animations do look better though.
Shame about the player model. Jeez, what's with those shoulders and that posture? How hard is it for their Artists to get past FIFA 07 & make an effort to reflect someone actually resembli get a human?
loved this video
It's a concern that foul count is low, one free in the first half.
In the streaming last night there were none in the first half.
I mention first half because I didn't get to the end of the match.
What is silly? Baners like: VICTORY, WIN OR NOTHING, ATTACK ATTACK etc. This kind of baners are not exist. Are they mentioned in this video? I can't watch at the moment, at work!
I don't see what's silly about a banner at a football game that says "celery"...
In seriousness, I feel like both sides of the fence are becoming obsessed with graphics now! Who cares?!
