I was being sarcastic, sorry - I know they are silly (that was my point - there are banners that say "celery", which is a vegetable)...What is silly? Baners like: VICTORY, WIN OR NOTHING, ATTACK ATTACK etc. This kind of baners are not exist.
I think he was quoting the FIFA image.WTF?
PES body models have always excelled. Years ahead of FIFA's zombie-like body postures and gestures and this year more so than ever.
I can't see what you see wrong with it.
Maybe this particular image doesn't tell the whole story. But in every image and video I've seen, I think it looks phenomenal. Turf looking better than ever, and better than in any football game yet, pitch lines finally looking bold.
Oh oh... my bad. I'm sorry.I think he was quoting the FIFA image.
- Super accurate lazer guided shooting is still there with only handful of same unrealistic animations playing.
- Not enough foul by CPU is still there.
- CPU giving you a lot of space is still there(hopefully it's on Beginner difficulty).
If those videos we watched is anything greater than Regular mode, then we will have an easy game against CPU this year.
Now the things to look out for:
- Imperfection passing by the CPU based on stats?
- Enough player individuality?(So a unknown player from a lower rated team won't dominate a whole match but a player like Hazard, Sanchez, Messi, Ronaldo, etc, will)?
- Difference on strength between small teams and big teams(I don't want another PES where I lose against Sunderland, Watford where I beat Liverpool, Chelsea 6-0)?
- Tacking individuality(Lesser known defender cannot have perfect tackling ability?

lets talk about this again when we see gameplay against the AI ok cause these are human players so you could just say they played cautiouslyIt's a concern that foul count is low, one free in the first half.
In the streaming last night there were none in the first half.
I mention first half because I didn't get to the end of the match.
from what iv'e seen these players are noobs and just don't know how to make dribbling movement or have the skills to draw them. I'll try the foul system out when demo comes because i know how to dribble and make defenders miss. I understand what you mean though because i play WE9LE about 4 times a week. Smart AI and foul system in that game. But these players at E3 are just noobs. One of the most peculiar aspects of hardcore PES fandom today: it cares about nets, faces, boots, pitch textures, and sundry other things of that nature. It doesn't care about fouls. I can't believe the way the PES-playing fandom has given Konami a pass on this issue, year after year. FIFA used to be put in the stocks and have rotten fruit thrown at it for a lot less.
Hi curdstar, always enjoy your posts as it is just about enjoying the game and not the cosmetics. Always make me feel positive about the game which is a good thing.
What camera setting do you use?
(You can reply in 2017 thread as its off topic)![]()
here's a big problem that must be addressed. In WE9LE if you beat a defender and are on goal he will foul you. In today's PES he doesn't foul, because of the catch up process. So remove the catch up process and bring back smarter defensive AI and make them foul again. Problem solved. The reason or a big part there are no fouls is the space ..theres far far too much..ok that Liverpool video looks like it's two players but it went from 6yrd box defending to counter attack and a shot in 3 passes ..no midfield at all..graphically it looks nice but looks like same issues pes 17 has..far too open
we haven't seen gameplay against the AI yet so maybe its already addressed in PES 2018. Fingers crossedhere's a big problem that must be addressed. Custom camera (selected pitchside first) then from top to bottom it is 3,0,10 for the settings, dude.
Feel I should clarify my point about not watching for things in these videos.
I fear that perhaps my remarks come across as rubbishing @Matt10 's approach, but I really am not doing that at all. I value greatly what Matt does for both football games communities.
I guess I don't pay much attention at this stage because it can prove a little too "spoilery". I will happily plead ignorance to that which others notice, but I am not being ignorant to them nor am I judging them. I don't think taking my approach is me not doing any due diligence either, though, nor am I "part of the problem" which is a comment that can sometimes be thrown around if someone pleads a degree of ignorance at this preview stage.
As I have said many times before over the years, I simply like PES and like investing in it come what may. I see it as a £40 - £50 a year annual investment/chance and considering some of the other crap I can or used to waste money on that is a tiny amount. Considering PES2017 for a moment, it proved the best return on investment on any football game I have purchased in the last 9/10 years with ease. I guess therefore PES2018 looking a more refined PES2017 will be less of a problem for me than it may well be for others.
I agree with what Deco has said a few posts above this one: it really does all boil down to what you want to make and take from the game, and that is massively influenced by your approach to the game. Yes, Matt's observations last year were noted after release, and I certainly tried all his workarounds which enhanced the experience, but I think, personally, the developers themselves also made some tweaks here and there throughout the game's lifecycle which proved to do just enough to keep me coming back with interest after a few weeks break. I am honestly staggered at how much PES2017 I've played since release, comparatively speaking, seeing as I have other commitments and interests these days which means I don't play even an excellent football videogame anywhere near as often as I used to. I think that is quite a massive feat for the game, in all honesty; all this in spite of being aware of some flaws/annoyances that either I found myself or had been pointed out by others in the community.
Finally I just want to say I think Adam and Asim are doing a good job. Sorry, but I do.
youtube video makes ball look faster. After watching that video, I'm definitely playing on -1 whenever the demo's out. Dribbling is too quick for me.
yeah, they seem to be bad at sinking the animations properly to the ball. It's in other areas of the game also.Look at the first goal scored by Torres. Look how keeper use hands to save a shot. He didn't use hands. Terrible. In FIFA keepers use hands.
ultra negative ? People are just commenting on what's in front of them ..there looks to be space issues that are making the game look very end to endThanks. Finally, thanks. Someone who is not ultra negative about PES xD. I understand being skeptical, but not this "everything is bad" thing. I mean, sometimes it seems like people only see flaws in every gameplay.
i think i have found the problem to the hectic game/no transition. there is no set up for it in the tactics for 2017 and i doubt to have it in 2018 but actually its in the online data editor tool
starting to see some connections for these tactical values and to how certain teams play with or/no transition in att -defence
i'll try to have a brainstorm with the guys on the team well see what happens...

how was that Matt? could you drop me a screen or an explanation at least? could be the same thingThere's no longer the "shift to attack" tactic that was in PES 14 for one year, then gone forever. If that returns, transition can be controlled.

great then show it on a video ..cant help people who have put up with the same issues all year then see the same issues in the E3 videos ..mainly lack of fouls and end to end play ..end of the day we will only see properly on demo and releaseBased on 3, 4 matches not vs AI. Okey. A guy just said that is not issue, is tactical thing. He played all day long yesterday.
