PES 2018 PlayStation & Xbox Discussion Thread

Look at credits in Pes. There are around 100 faces creators and 3-4 stadia creators. Its the answer why we have to wait so long to new stadia in data pack. In normal situation if they inform us about new stadion like Emirates to come in data pack it should be maximum 3 week waiting not 2 or 3 month.

And personaly apart from 2008 i played all games trough the whole year more or less until PES 2014. Thats when i switched to FIFA and i believe many "old era PES" fans. Hate to use that term but i think there was a crack somewhere FOX engine came in and there either many people stopped playing PES after a while and went over FIFA or back to old PES games or stopped virtual footy altogether. Not taking into account Rocket League and FM of course.

FOX and "new era PES" with Adam and Masuda and whoever is new divided the fans literally. Thats a fact.
And also fact that many people still enjoy PES and it got many new fans as well. More people enjoy it than the ones who abandoned it actually. And thats why after 4 years of development especially when the statement was that on the pitch the game is perfect, only off the pitch huge changes will come i dont believe we will witness anything "old era PES" like anytime soon.

And here im not even mentioning the actuall issues, only the individual preferences. Just the game and its style.

I wish only magic boots were the only problem nowdays :D

There are not just issues like ML offline AI, but also many others errors like wrong kits, teams not yet updated (like Ligue 2 Paris FC) that come from the low number of developers and resources. They also spend too much time creating stadiums that for the most parts are not good enough as an evidence of that. It's fact Pes is a low budget game. This doesn't mean they are excused, we should expect way more than we have now as a complete product.

Anyway, even if it was not a money issue but an issue with bad developers, it's up to KONAMI's management to fire bad developers and hire better ones. They are the ones not wanting to change a bit, because they think Pes is good enough as it is right now. They don't care giving us a more complete game.

P.s. The 50 millions downloads come from Pes 2017 mobile that is free to play, they only earn from microtransactions in that game.

thats right and downloading it on phone, ipad etc is very easy to buy micro transactions, they wouldv made a shit load

konami already said that the next dlc should be coming in november
but remember that inter milan partnership was announced in early of september
so maximum 3 weeks waiting is not correct, we didn't even get the faces/tattoos of inter in the first dlc
and also the recaptured Giuseppe Meazza stadium
 
Geting a bit tired of sports games and the licensing.
And not to mention people acctually thinking one game having 90% of them is a good thing
PES has a few licences,they have a fully licenced League 1 and League 2 right?
And not giving those leagues any presentation packs,why?
Pes also has a partnership and a fully licenced BVB.
And not having a Bundesliga!
FIFA has Bundesliga 1-2-3 and no stadiums for (5) it
So let's say I'm a huge BVB fan,or a huge Bundesliga fan,then I'm completely fucked wanting to play a career there

Or even worse,being a huge 2k player,everything is licenced an all,except two stadiums,those are EA exclusive (TD garden,MSG) and are a feature in their crappy NBA series.

We as fan/customers are getting screwed over year in and year out, and defending that as a consumer/fan?
Why?

Not saying that license for a league/stadium should be handed out.
But leagues shouldn't be exclusive to one buyer,any company should be able to buy them,at a hefty price,so that it will be treated the right way.
Best gameplay/best presentation/best package will dictate which games people will buy.
Easy right?

Right now Konamis licences for league/team/stadium are so poorly taken care of.
And we who pay good money every year gets screwed over.
I mean if they don't have money to spend on it,I'd understand,but the ones they have,they treat them/it so poorly.
Just like in my mind, Bundesliga in FIFA.
It's fucking horrible being a fan/customer of these games in that perspective
 
Other game is filled with hatred and complains , I own both and the other does not even feel like football game and are here crying about ML transfers , why do u care what players the other team sold , it is a fantasy Ml mode . Jeez give me a break dor real .
 
Honestly I'm tired of the licenses situation too, but in the sense that it cemented this duopoly in a way it should have never happened.. and it's getting boring to me. It's been.. how much time now? 13 years? More? That we don't see another at least decent contender to these two games? All I can remember was Football Kingdom in the early Ps2 era, then nothing else.

I mean Pes/WE is one of the game sagas of my life. And I passed good moments with Fifa too. BUT, I'd love to see another BIG software house (cough cough 2K cough cough..) give a shot to a serious soccer game.. and I mean a true simulation (or at least an attempt at one), not some arcade game, some kick off remake/clone or whatever.. but since we aren't in the end of the ninties/early 2000s anymore nobody dares to put energies in a project like this without having licenses. EA/Konami can do what they want in the meantime, no other contenders means everybody will buy their game, no matter what.

And it's a true shame because I'm certain that there is somebody out there that given the right resources, would be able to do better than what we have now. Sadly we'll probably never know tho.. I would even fund the shit out of a serious kickstarter project of this kind, even without licenses, but that's just me I guess.

The strange thing is that 2k backed down on a few titles at the beginning of the 2000's
The had 2k hockey superior game to EA's arcade hockey (still a arcade game) and correct me if I'm wrong,the also had some football series?
Those two have been snatched up by EA (madden/NHL)
And now EA makes a push for the NBA,wouldn't be surprised if 2k made a move into any of the other markets again

They will just keep going the way they are.

All I play is master league of line. For me the have this year is good, but they need to spend a lot of time on their formations and gameplay to get the thing balanced.

There are people in the community that do that each year and tune their game for them. They need to employ someone like klashman or some others on here to add depth. At present its too end to end

I bought the other game last year and played it more. I am yet to buy it this year, but will in a few months. If you look at the reviews of it, fifa has taken a bashing this year

One thing bugs me really. For instance im loving the old Resident Evil games plus the newest one and hell the old and new Metal Gear games yet i never bother to go on any fan forums to talk about them.

What i know is when PES was great to me i was never checking the discussion topics as i was busy playing the games and modding the games in my free time and is wasnt bothered complaining about it or defending it at all cost.

Maybe its just me but to me its something to think about.

My point?
My point is that someone was praising Seabass like he was the solution to every PES problem. But he convinently forgot how AWFUL PES was under Seabass' order from PES 2008 to PES 2012. He just chose to remark the good times. I call that Selective Memory.

No trolling at all. I hardly troll anyone in here. I try to put things in prospective.

But hey, if one has to write a 10.000 word long post in order to not be considered a troll... suit yourself.

Jesus he didn't have basic.... like engine. What You aspected?
 
Played in the Tim cup tonight lost the home leg 0-1 and won the second leg 0-1 . .went into extra time it was a great match . . got to the penalties where the a.i were first up and they wouldn't take the penos and I couldn't switch sides . .how annoying is that? I heard somebody else on here mention it before I think.. . so I simmed it and they went through.

May I remind you that after Seabass left (after PES 2012), Konami made PES 2013 which is, to this day, still one of the best PES ever made. Same engine. Same basis.
If you want to defend Seabass and put him on a pedastal as if he was some sort of magic stick, go right ahead. But please don't try to fool the rest of us.

Adam took over and, even if he is not a developer, PES has been improving year after year. It's still far from perfect and there's still HUGE room for improvement in all areas. But since PES 2014, it's been doing justice to the game's name: PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER.

Feel free to disagree though. I don't care.
 
About the penalty bug.

Konami: "in order to excuse us you receive 10.000 GP points"...for My Club...
Everything is oriented towards MyClub, if you preorder; you got some My Club rewards.

Does Konami not see that the long term fans not tend to play MyClub but ML...

Or is it a deliberate strategy, neglect ML and hope people will start to play My Club...well not me.

I'm sorry for this rant.

I believe you're right Gerd, a deliberate ploy to force us to play Myclub .. nothing else makes sense.
 
The "setting injury to on in exhibition game" and you'll get injuries in ML.
I remember that from 16.
Should have been fixed since then...
