Agreed. Peer to peer is a joke in this day and age, unless it's a point-and-click adventure game co-op or something.

People complain about how online is laggy and I agree. Been playing online lately and unfortunately 8 out of 10 games are lI see those three bars on top right of the screen almost the entire game. It's because most of the people play wirelessly. And until people quit using wireless while they are gaming, nothing is going to get fixed. And if they have slow download and upload speeds to begin with, game becomes almost unplayable. I know wireless is convenient and all that but they have to realize it's ruining the experience for both parties :(

Agreed, Sony and Microsoft should include a set of Homeplugs with every console by default ! ;-)
 

L1 is for manual passing and shooting. This really does prove the existence of the placebo effect though, as some people are pressing a button which does nothing for dribbling and 'feel' that it makes dribbling more controlled. This is why we love PES!

Despite agreeing wireless could cause some issues, it's not the problem. I have my ps4 connected through cable but, even when I had it in a wireless (in ps3) mode I could play fifa 10 and almost every game run flawless whereas PES it's the same laggy crap every year. I even tried playing last year fifa via wireless, and then PES via cable, and guess what, PES was laggy 50 % of games whereas FIFA 90% run very good. I don't mint a little input lag but this year some games in PES are a mess, stuttering and 2 second I put lag sometimes it's a mess, specially in myclub. In online divisions it's much better but not flawless as it should be nowadays with the connection speed people have, and the netcode knowledge...

I thought R2 was close control but I swear L1 does something as well. L2 is for manual passing/shooting as that annoying arrow pops up (which I have turned off in my user settings) but are we certain L1 doesn't do anything?
Maybe it's the fact that I am not pressing R1, R2 or L2 that it feels like it's doing something I am not used to? Maybe that's just what dribbling without a trigger button pressed feels like...I will test this out later.
 
Just played 4 games in exhibition on superstar. Man City-Man United. I played with Man United in all of them. Straight away I noticed goalkeepers make more saves, CPU plays more aggresive and gives away more fouls. Still, you don't feel limited or restricted in any way. You can still do your thing. I lost the first two games 1-0. Had loads of chances, just couldnt score. Third game I lost 3-0. Fourth game I drew 0-0 and dominated, just once again could not bloody score.

So I never scored a single goal in 4 matches. Yet I really enjoyed losing! I always felt as if I was competetive and inches away from battering them to be honest.

I think a big reason why not was Man United's players in the latest live update. In bad form overall and Pogba and Ibrahimovic are really sluggish and in bad form. I was trying to get the best out of them but they were straying out of position and off the pace. Rashford was my only outlet really. He looked like he could cause damage anytime he was near the ball as he is in decent form in this live update. But in front of goal we were just not clinical enough.

Then I put the FIFA demo on. Same teams. Legendary difficulty. Couldn't even finish the game out. Very stuttery and poorly animated. I'll give the full game a fair chance but I can see myself craving Pro Evo and finding myself playing that a lot more. We'll see.

It's up to your judgment Craney . .one thing I have found and I don't mean this in a bad way .. . Fifa players may flirt with Pes and no matter how good it is will always go back to Fifa .. and do you know why?. . ..the full licences and Sky sports atmosphere .. .when the full Fifa game comes out they make excuses about Pes and why they shouldn't play it and go back and start the usual vitriol about Pes and convince themselves that Fifa is a better experience. . .. .that will never change. . .btw this isn't directed towards you personally it's just the way it is.
 
I just hit the post from a penalty and it wouldnt switch to the taker for the round. I was (and still am) furious and it's the most the broken thing I've experienced so far.

I was fucking destroying till then. 70% possession and lots of clear cut chances. I crumbled with rage after that.

I agree. Konami is notorious about their online. I was just stating the obvious which is wireless is making it even worse.

If you hit the post without the goalie touching the ball, the penalty taker isn't allowed to score the rebound. Pretty sure that's why it didn't let you take control of him.
