PES 2017 PlayStation & Xbox Discussion Thread

Also a few pages back someone was moaning about the crossing... i rarely score from them. He was using Banes and Lukaku so thats a valid tactic... he would score from crosses... i use teams that rarely cross.. i try too but im just not set up for it. Its tactics man!!

How do i show you all goals i have scored via videos i have uploaded using ps4 share?

Are they still saved to your PS4 share library as well? If so you can save them onto a USB stick so you can edit them into 1 package on PC then upload to YouTube.
If the video is already as you want it and doesn't require editing you can upload direct to Youtube from PS4 I think.

Thank you!!

I wrote to Konami 5 times in the last 5 years asking for a selector. All i got is an automatic generated reply each and everytie.

No offense but unless you know someone writing to them is useless.
Technically that's not true. As a kid, I wrote a letter to KCEO (Konami Osaka) off the back of ISS 64 and requested deeper editing features. They not only replied with a personalised letter responding to each feature I'd mentioned, they sent about 10 A1 posters of Konami games.

They incorporated a couple of my ideas into ISS '98 and thanked me for the time I'd taken to suggest things (even though I thought they were blindingly obvious).

be my guest then.

I've decided to abandon manual shooting - I just can't get the hang of it. I was using PA1 but now I've switched that to manual and stepped up to shooting assistance (first stage).

First game against West Brom, me as Arsenal, Top Player. Wow, they absolutely did a job on me. They went physical and aggressive, grabbed a goal on 25 mins then soaked up my pressure. I still only managed 2 shots in the whole game. Defensively, they were brilliant.

Hmmm. . .. and now you're a SUPER moderator ... sounds dodgy .. . .Uncle seabass is it ?

Played a few games as Napoli this evening after feeling like I am getting just a tiny bit better and both understanding and utilising dribbling. Fuck me! Hamsik and Insigne in this game are possibly the two greatest examples of realistic player individuality in ANY football game ever created. Sure there is plenty more out there that may inspire similar feeling, like when I watched the Dutch bring on Robben for a cameo against my Croatia last night and while he never got the chance to do that move of his, he was playing just like him and had me defending with greater uncertainty than I am already known to do. Terrific stuff. Just amazingly rewarding both visually and in gameplay "feels" when that stuff happens. I know PES has always had the edge in this department, and say that as a 41 year old who goes waaaaay back with this series (and others) to the point I literally changed how week nights without the other halves back in the day would go down with my circle of friends.

If there are 22-31 year olds out there who love their footy videogames like me and my mates did during that time between 1997-2006 specifically, and are won over by PES as opposed to FIFA, then I am going to say something I haven't said when considering football videogames of late: I might be a tad jealous. I say that as life moves on so me and those close friends of mine, while still great friends to this day, have other commitments these days (as do I) meaning such evenings are rare... and we maybe don't partake in the consumption of a certain recreational substance that would just make it all seem so much more a zen-like experience playing PES back then.

At least this game (for the moment: I feel like I need to say that just in case it all goes horribly wrong) has me both enjoying a football videogame again and has me think back to those times and arriving at the conclusion that we made an excellent life choice back then. I can look back at those classic PES' and while they probably still are the best due to the era, the time allowed, and environment I would play those games in, this game is doing a damn fine of job allowing to me to appreciate how good football videogames can still be.

If nothing else, if this game holds its form as it is currently then maybe if Konami or EA completely fuck it up from here on in there will be a game from the modern era that can prove a goto.

A few gripes I´m having with this though...
- Still...often when loading up the passing bar to the max, the player 3 meters next to the passer takes it.
- I can´t remember the AI being offside in all of the matches I had. Does it ever happen?
- When I perform a pass and hold the stick to one direction and in the meantime the passing bar loads up, I change the direction, the game doesn´t care. I know I could use supercancel there but there have been PES releases where this has been possible.

Other than that I really enjoy it!

Can i use the 1 & 3 to give feedback to officialpes on twitter? You wrote it better than i could :).

it's the lighting, it's so much better in Fifa.
rainy games look great in PES though.
PES pitch looks like last gen.

No, the lighting isn't better on FIFA. I think people should watch more football, it's not that dark at night in real life. It might look good but it's not how stadiums are now. PES 2017 got it spot on but the pitch color is what makes it look weird.

volumetric lighting and post processing effects are better in fifa.

who else select both CBs as players to join attack? both CBs irl are always in the box for corners/near fks. i got the feeling im the only one who does this lol

I always do this as well. The corner options in general are really great. As a newcomer to PES it's fantastic to be able to actually use zonal marking when it comes to defending corners.
