Long shots, corners, long balls, crosses, etc. if you gonna defend the same way then of course you can receive identical goals.

talking about variety... i see a lot of positive stuff on the pitch playing a regular league with leicester. i have to adapt to the play style of my opponent, try tactical stuff, try playing it different to what i got used to... try things, experiment with options... cant moan about the game just yet.
november or december will be the crutial time... in the past this was the time when i usually got bored playing PES... in the last couple of years.

We had two or three whole days of everybody posting their age only a week ago. Some serious Benjamin Button shit must have happened since then, I guess.
I feel bad for you that your copy doesn't have variety or a CPU that attacks. Not sure what the answer is - have you tried reinstalling from scratch? I hope you manage to fix the issue and end up with the same game I'm playing. It's bloody great fun offline. Only last night, Preston North End were relentlessly countering at full speed whenever my Brighton side lost the ball, playing a 5-3-2 formation. I had to play a deeper defensive line to stop them breaking through. Completely different to Norwich, who were far more calculated about trying to pick me open.

Meant to be decorating, so my balls are on the block when the Mrs gets in. Been faffing around for best part of 3 hours now doing option filesJust the Spanish 2nd Division to import and im as good as it gets I think (for now)
Decorate: Make (something) look more attractive by adding extra items or images to it.
Seems as though doing option files in PES fits the definition of decorate. Don't see the problem.

the same "far post 2-3 metres high and from inside the box" goals are seen a lot because people play with shot assistence OR they tend to press the shot button as long as they have become used to (over the years). noticed that when rewatching my own matches. sure the game isnt flawless, but it depends a lot on the player itself. people need to realize that the bar is not a power meter, its a height meter! i put the ball where i want it (at least try to) on full manual. bottom corner, bottom middle... and so on.
Never looked at it as a height meter .. . makes sense the harder you hit it the higher it goes.

Why do you feel the need to call posters little kids? It was agreed a few days ago that actually the average age of posters in this thread is pretty darn high. All you do is lurk and "Like" all the posts that contain negativity. If that's not child-like behaviour I don't know what is. People in glass houses and all that..

it is a shame that you feel the variety isnt enough i dont think it will ever be perfect but im more than happy with it so a far i have seen lots of different goals on ML superstar by the CPU I played versus man city they crossed my defender and the cpu went for the header it flicked off us it bounced down and aguero scissor kicked it high into the far corner and my own variety has been great to watch back what happened in replays
if anything changes after a few months play i will gladly post an honest opinion up if it gets repetitive
EDIT -Although I do love scoring with a far post header crossing it from deep and having my SS run in and nut it across goal to score looks brilliant done a couple of them had to kick simone pepe from the line up because it looked like he ducked when i crossed it and tried to make him header lol

I love this game. Tactics works, new animations, fluid gameplay. Playing a Premier with City, trying to be all guardiol-esque. :_)

It's true that there aren't really any one-on-ones, if you only consider cases where the keeper comes out. But, the way Shez describes it, even if there were 1v1s, then that would just bump up the number of ways of scoring from 1 to 2.

guys, im a myclub fan, but im trying to play online and its a nightmare, the lag is so bad, i would have thought this would have been sorted by now, anyone have similar experience?

Yes, but the last year the first week is the same, The first week always goes so unstable with lag, then go normalizing the online system and is quite playable

Can someone please help me in regard of Option Files available?
There are so many around, i don't know what to choose. I´m portuguese so i prefer one that has the portuguese league available. Can someone post the links to option files here or at least give me a links where i can get that information please.

Just played a ML match with Southampton against Liverpool. They scored with a deflecteer ball. I used Matt's tactics (thinks Matt, works much better) and had a very good game.
In the second half i had 2 one on ones with Mignolet (sadly missed them both) and Sturridge came twice alone before Frazier (he also missed both).

I just got my new PS4 slim and my pes17 copy 2 days ago, i have had it for so little time that i've only managed to complete the skills training and started the AFC CL (which i believe is the only competition with all the licenses).
I chose to be F.C. Tokyo and they are no world beaters for sure.
Mind this is in Top Player.
this game is all umpredicteble.
I like the shooting variations, the curve in the passing, the foul variations, the far-from lenient referee, the AI.
this is a beautiful game, the bes pes imo.
PS. after playing the entire group stage in a single go, i went to play an exhibition game:
Dortmund (CPU) vs Liverpool at signal Iduna.
No amount of emojis will recreate the feeling of the match atmosphere and the pace.
It was spectacular, the skilled players are (rightfully) worlds away from what i was using/facing at the AFC CL a couple of minutes ago. It's a whole new universe for me.
They beat me 2-1 but i couldn't be happier. My roomate even came to my room to see what was i all excited about and even enjoyed just watching the match .
Can't wait to start a ML with a D2 team (one with cool/editable kits)!

I have always played on the highest difficulty but with PES17 i just realized there is no rush, it rewards you for taking different approaches. I'm really in love with this game.
I chose to be F.C. Tokyo and they are no world beaters for sure.
- First game of the group stage and got demolished 4-0 by Guangzhou Evergrande (SP?), no complaints there. They were a lot better than me.
- 2nd game i came from a 0-2 deficit to level the game against Melbourne Victory. I could have won since i had the momentum on my side but oh well, missed a couple of chances.
- 3 & 4th game i played against a (weaker) Dubai side wich boosted my team's morale. Won 2 -0 & 1-0
- 5th game against the chinese giants and i managed to get 3 points from scoring a penalty. great great game
- 6th game (already qualified) we smashed Melbourne who were clearly pissed off & mentally destroyed. I was 4-0 by half time and they had a few yellows and a red by then. Finished 5-1
