How do option files work with live updates? do you take the live update 1st and then apply the file or do you forget the live updates? can you even forget the live updates?

Are there any Data Packs at the moment?

Im glad for everyone who is able to add some extra atmosphere to a solid game of soccer!!
6 days into the retail version and I'm not bored yet! :) can't wait to head home and ply again but tonight is Assetto Corsa night. Maybe after that... later that night.

I loved the old PES games where 5 stars would be really difficult and then we could unlock 6 stars.

PES these days feels like it lets you play and score screamers as much as you want.

I still prefer the pace of this to FIFA though, Konami have nailed it this year.

It seems you are forced to play 1 touch ping pong passing in order to keep possession of the ball. Even controlling the ball followed by an immediate pass is extremely risky

Im not really an online player but had a few friendly games in the lobbys and the input delay is killing me you have to press what you want to do a split second before otherwise your getting dispossessed.I have no visible lag or stutters just was like playing under water shame
 
Holy cow this game has grown on me. Started a Prem League ML this morning and having an amazing time with it (superstar difficulty).

Flow of the game is amazing, I know I keep saying it but it's true.

Just downloaded PES World Prem League OF and the kits look very good!

Am I right in saying: Download the Option files, install the team's kits etc and THEN add the Live Update? Because I had Stones in defence for Everton, now I have just added the Live Update and he's disappeared but I have kept the edited kits. Or does Live Update mess everything up somewhere else?

Can't be that, cos i changed Dinamo Kiev's stadium and net and it worked when i played against then in europa league, only worked with that team. Weird hey, i thought cos mayne they were in other euro teams. So i put Liverpool there, didn't help.

So how people getting on with using Superstar Difficulty, particularly in Ml or Cup modes? Haven't looked back since playing that difficulty in the demo but was apprehensive about how it would translate in the games modes as far as being cheaty.

Few games into my CL Campaign and had some very tough games but never felt frustrated or cheated or seen any blatant bullshit scripting like on the last game. It's a true testament to the a.i and the improvements over last year, no longer being exploited by daft thoroughballs lofted or not and the incredible goalkeeping really does make every attempt on goal unpredictable. This game is the real deal.

Superstar just ramps up in ML. You don’t feel cheated, just have no time on the ball or space. Very tough

Started a ML with Ajax to try and make them a force in Europe again. 7 league games in haven't lost yet and sit second in the table on goal difference behind Feyenoord (who are yet to concede a goal).

Champions league has been a different story altogether; edged past Nice in the qualifying round on away goals to make the group stage but Drew Barca and Juve. Played 3 lost 3 so far in the first round of games and have it all to do to finish 3rd and make it into Europa League.
 
Can someone help. I edited Zlatans boots, now I've lost his face template in the formation settings etc.

It's annoying me.

Anyway to get him back to default, or kindly let me know which boots he has as default?

I must be thick lol (don't answer that!!) but i have controller screen, then press X to go on and it applies live update before I get to the select sides screen? Not sure we are on the same page matey!
 
I installed the Live Update AFTER the PES World Option Files and it's updated all of my squads.

I don't understand how some people are getting issues?
 
I've played FIFA exclusively up until now, but wow this PES really lets you get into tactically. Playing some exhibition mode as Man City and you can really replicate the real life positioning of the team. Although I have found the advanced instructions seem to be a bit of waste, unfortunately. I'm sure they have their uses for different styles etc
 
As much as I love the game, I feel like Konami has to give some love to the defending side of the game next year. It's just not on the same level as attacking play (which is bloody awesome this year!).
Hold/Double Tap A to defend is not a good mechanic and can be very inconsistent. Moving the player manually into the ball carrier works but is also inconsistent as sometimes the defender will just watch the ball roll by.
