Yeh no 'free sides select' is a right pain. Playing as different teams in a Cup on PES5 was almost as good as ML for me. I used to roll a dice and the team with the highest score was the team I controlled. It sounds really sad, but it was a great way to get familiar with all the teams. Playing as Saudi Arabia v Germany and needing a win to get out the group made me realise how difficult it was with lower teams back then.

It works on Exhibition mode but I think the CPU won't play as well.

Have you tried that on the PS4? It was Asim that confirmed it months ago that we can switch sides to CPU. I used to do the same but instead of dice I flipped a coin hah.

I am not quite sure if this ISSUE has mentioned here before.

If you use edited Teams to play with a friend at the same PS4 locally, you will get the message, that the second user is not allowed to use the userbased data (edited data) and all kits, stats, emblems - everything edited will be blocked instantly.
Me thinks this is something weird with the new firmware, i doubt konami implemented this shit.

Here comes already the solution:
this shit only happens if your PS4 is online.
Simply go offline, start PES2017, log in with 2nd local or guest account and play with your friend including the edited data.

So right now this means you can not play online 2 vs 2 with edited kits...

I hope this shit gets fixed by Sony or Konami, whoever is responsible for that nonsense.

Wait, will this affect Share Play? What if I want to do 2vsCPU with a friend?
 
I'm having trouble with GTMS option file. Every time I try to import Cardiff city it says loading failed.

Anyone know how to fix that?
 
Can't get enough of the 'Goal Cam'. I wish that was a camera that you could select in replay mode. It's extremely well done.

I remember back in my in editing days on the PS 2 yes the pixel editor lol I used to spend weeks before I kicked a ball in anger. That OCD hasn't left me yet

I used to spend about 3 months tweaking player stats on the PS3 of every player in the game to edit the game play for my option files. I think one year it actually sent me mad

I got a reply from Adam about the pitches he said it cant be fixed with patches

I think the reason behind it is like the ol PES 5 trick of removing the crowd maybe the lighting was causing framerate issues so to compensate the increased the pitches brightness? Just a guess but such a shame i loved daytime serie a matches on pes 2016 it looked glorious
 
I'm reposting this from a few pages back, a nice fella did reply but i think he assumed i had a PS4 (am i right in thinking you can't apply an option file on XBOX?)

Hi, I've got a quick question (i have an XBOX one)

I was planning on buying PES2017 to play through the brazil league as that's the league that has the most stadiums and licenses (or so i thought). I've since read that although the kits are licensed a lot of the player names are fake.

My question is do the players with the fake names have the correct faces/look? i'm happy with manually editing all the fake player names but don't want to go through all of them and correct their appearances too.

Any help would be much appreciated

I have trouble sometimes with headers and my players just don't jump when the ball is crossed in. Any advice?

Also how do you do the lofted cross mentioned above?

I know normal cross and a double tap for a cross, any more I'm missing?

Yes I tried Lami on PS4 and PS3 it doesn't allow me to move controller over only in Expedition games. I used to roll dice, flip a coin, or even have a pack of cards and the highest one was me. When my brother and me play we roll 2 dice and whoever gets the most is the home team. Once, we rolled 4 double sixes on the trot. We really couldn't believe it. I'm sure if we was at a fairground we would have won a car with that!

I cannot believe the amount of negative posts about the AI attacking. In my games on Top Player I am get slaughtered. The AI is having many more shots than me. Which is good.
 
About to throw ps and this fucking game out the window.
Trying to put bundersliga on and I can see all logo etc but I can't get the teams to stick. Even with update off. So annoying.

The brilliance of CPU attack is fantastic,but then again I did edit two leagues.
I have to defend extremely smart to be able to get draws,never mind wins.
CPU goes long/short/direct/through,it's a handful

That video looks like a different game to me. Granted i play Top Player and not Superstar, also I never play Exhibition, only a Cup or something (until ML is ready). But ive never seen the AI act like that at all.

About your problem concerning Bayern München, it might be the name of the file in PF you downloaded. I read somewhere that filenames with some "unusual" characters caused problems, and ü was mentioned. Maybe you could try to change the file name, to something with "bayernmunchen", that is without the ü.

Other possibility: underscores in the file name (_), don't selecct those files...

But probably you all knew this and this is a useless post (haven't tried installing option file myself and i'm a disaster with those things).
 
does anyone know how to shot with stronger foot? I know sometimes it's depend from body position but happened twice until now in situations 1-1 with the keeper player to use weaker foot. also is any way to shield the ball while running, i tried without holding sprint button but I guess there is another way?
 
Is everyone experiencing the same goal variety as the demo?

I really enjoyed the types of goals I was scoring in the demo, but most of my goals are now coming from rebounds and crosses.
