PES 2017 PlayStation & Xbox Discussion Thread

Also just checked free side select in comps. Works just fine

Rocky, is free side select referring to the option of a guest player to be able to play co-op with the primary player or against the primary player locally (same PS4)? Just tried to play co-op with a friend who lives elsewhere using Share Play and the guest's (non-host) controller didn't even show up. Co-op play works fine for CL, AFC CL and Europa comps using Share Play.

Geeee, I can't believe you're in your 40's!!! I thought you were mid to late twenties. No idea why.
I'm 36 in a few weeks and still passionate about PES. I've spent the last 10 years hammering PES 6 to death and now I need a new fix. Please let 2017 be it.

I said the same thing to Geeeee. . . I was sure he was mid twenties . . .I see all the mods got offside when age anonymous was happening. I'd guess early thirties for most of them.

Yeah iv only played a few games but all the issues I had with 16 aren't there, I'm loving this defensive awareness cos lot of times in previous PES when u have your back on goal and u recieve the ball you can do a loop around the defender and score or have an easy shot on goal, not the case with this years game, you get hounded and they hack you, the top end agile players in this scenario will only be able to produce some kind of magic.

That's great news cos you can be hard to please and fairly critical at the best of times . . .don't mean that in a bad way .. . so it's looking good so far.

Free side select is the option to take control of CPU teams against a Human team in cup modes.

yeah i know but individuality was very important for me and so far after playing more than 10 games iv seeing alot of variation which is great, CPU AI does take long rangers especially when its trailling, i see alot of tactical variations used by the AI, for example cause im a type of player that loves shooting from long range iv noticed that AI adapts by pressing you even harder when your in range which is amazing, AI is also very smart offensively too, the superstar AI players are very smart and very hard to tackle or get the ball of them also if you press the smart AI players, it will do a quick one two on you so have to hold your position. but yeah so far its been fantasticm looking forward to hearing yours and all the others experiences.

It's sounding great so far . .. .I have to wait til Thursday .. Jimi did you try your pet hate of dribbling from the back with a centre half?

Thanks for clarifying. It's a shame that we cannot play co-op mode in cup competitions like the World Cup or CL online without Share Play. Game plays like a dream though, it is the best PES I have ever played (been playing since ISS Extreme Superstar Deluxe!) :D

31 yrs old. Two kids and still soooo excited as I was waiting for PES 1 on PS2 it’s cos of the demo. It was/is so damn good.

Everything I wanted for some time in a PES game

We have a second child on the way in February. My firstborn is 3.5 now. Tell me something, I kinda of consider this my last PES, since with new baby and toddler I am going to be too exhausted (and the wife might not appreciate me taking any video game time).

How do you manage it? I consider installing a PS4 in the corner of our second bedroom connected to a monitor we use for WFH to be one of most difficult achievements on the home front? :BRMM:

Ah the age-old RESPONSIBILITY vs PES!!!!!!!!

yeah tried doing it several times, defensive awareness is very good, you may at times get into the final 3rd with your FB with ease but that's only cos the opposition is defending deep but once ur in that final 3rd very very hard to break me down, is good lot of variety which is welcoming

Im riddled with 3 kids, all of school age now... so its a bit easier, though they do want to use the PS4 at times, so I have to exert my male lion dominance over the pack :HAND:

Seriously though, you will get time, family first as always, but PES is a forgiving mistress who will let you come and go as you please :BOUNCE:

Haha good news. A mistress with less of the guilt, great expense, lying, lawsuits and eventual divorce?
Hopefully anyway!!! :LMAO:

I've pre ordered digital copy. Will creating an american account make it playable or would I then be locked to that region?

I am 37 years right now, my son is 5 years old. He is a Soccer maniac ;) since last year he plays pes from time to time. I like watching him, playing die n easiest settings to play and the joy, when he scores. I am infected since n64 iss, but the real passion started on ps1 with the first iss on it. Since then i played all pes titles and as well some of the WE versions. I like this Demo so much so far, because it brings back to me the feelings back in the days when playing on PS2. Hopefully i can grab the game today or tomorrow at latest - it is a long time ago that i have been that excited for a pes release :)

Thursday at 8am UK Time

You might know this (or not), but I hope someone can help as this is where age rots the mind ;)

If (god willing) I get the game tomorrow and start doing some edits, will the transfer patch overwrite them? I cannot remember what happened in 16, im sure it didnt effect the teams, but just in case, I dont want to rush into it and then have to repeat

At work, won't find out if someone was home to sign for the delivery till about 17:00 when I get out....so not cool.

Be on here refreshing for gameplay opinions instead of working.

We have a similar situation, I have 2 daughters the first is 3.5, my second daughter was born 3 weeks ago. I usually play above 9 or 10 PM after everyone is asleep.

same here. play after 9 when the kids are asleep. can't seem to win the battle through the day. my wife always looks at me and says " let the boys play, you are not a kid anymore".
i have 4 boys myself. ages 7,8, 11 and 19.

Got my daughter every two weeks, and I'm to fucking tired to play then, but the week I'm not, usually play after 10pm,or if wifey is at work (she works a lot of nights) so I think I have a lot of time on my hands for gaming.
