PES 2017 PlayStation & Xbox Discussion Thread

Anyone here is going to play on ps3? I am afraid the pc version will have more content and better gameplay/ai/features.
28 never been the same man since I played ISS on PS1... haven't done anything in my life since 1999 other than play PES and yes I loved 2008.

When I played the demo few things which I wasn't too excited about was, players felt light and couldn't see that much difference with passing and shooting speed between players, full game, players feel heavier, passing and shooting feels heavier too and most important the stats do matter a lot, I honestly cannot compare this experience to any of the previous PES games, it's that bloody good, good luck fellas
 
ok, so i got the game yesterday, started playing with it a bit...its fine so far...exhibition is much like how we imagined it....and cup mode is ok...

but my biggest gripe comes with the shooting which i found is really really problematic especially in training mode!! I use basic, and the shots go low corner everytime and I can't really choose to shoot it elsewhere...then I go advanced (Which I usually use) and the shots (open net makes no difference) all go for the corners and end up hitting the posts or bar. Even if there's no pressure, i use super little strength, it goes and hits the bar...its like Ronaldinho's Nike ad, but I'm not even trying to do it!! I just want the ball in...this is so messed up!! Am I doing it wrong??
 
.. Jimi..thanks for the the info... that's what I like to hear.. good stuff. The player weight is that thing pes always did so well.. I think foot planting has a lot to do with it.. but glad you said it felt heavier (although im not too optimistic that the footplanting has been improved- has it???). That comment regarding stats making a difference..wow.. that's really got me excited... jeez.. that Pes feeling is really coming back... cannot wait to get my hands on this game.. Feel free to send in more info regarding the full game...

Yeah iv only played a few games but all the issues I had with 16 aren't there, I'm loving this defensive awareness cos lot of times in previous PES when u have your back on goal and u recieve the ball you can do a loop around the defender and score or have an easy shot on goal, not the case with this years game, you get hounded and they hack you, the top end agile players in this scenario will only be able to produce some kind of magic.

holy fkn shit... ive just got an email that my pes2017 (aust physical version) has been sent (express post), so I should get it tomorrow.. ie. 14th... first time ever ill be getting the game (physical version that is) prior to the 15th release date... im such a kid.. my mrs loves it!!!!!!

Geeee, I can't believe you're in your 40's!!! I thought you were mid to late twenties. No idea why.
I'm 36 in a few weeks and still passionate about PES. I've spent the last 10 years hammering PES 6 to death and now I need a new fix. Please let 2017 be it.
 
Ok ok, woke up at 6am local time to play the full PSN download. Played for exactly 1 hour.

My thoughts:
• Still great! Yay! Alay your fears the best parts of the demo are stil prevalent. The randomness of the ball, fun, weight of players, individuality (somehow shines through even more) all still in. I must say well done, cos usually when developers go from a small cosey demo to a big full game with loads more data, they lose the magic, Konami didn’t do that. They did well.

• Scored one goal on Superstar and the AI have been smashing me to peaces, lost every game (no cheating) just played better than me. Playing on manual passing, adv. shooting

• Fouls are fine. Got fouled plenty times by the AI, shooting is more toned down. Game speed is fine too.
Had an amazing dribble with di maria. Got around 3 players. Thought i was gonna plant it in the top corner and I absolutely ballooned it. (loved it)

• i’m a net whore. They look amazing especially Hex net 3 poles, looks like good old fashioned 90’s italian style nets. Like Juve used to have at Delle Alpi. Simply magic

• Importing kits is a synch, takes the click of 2 buttons and you can go make coffee for 2 minutes. Imported the whole of EPL, La liga and Juve in no time. Quick and easy. What I must say is. You can really see the difference between small kits and large ones. Small ones look cheap and pixilated.

Thank God!!! Nets are also important to me, the movement is a huge part of the joy in shooting IMO.

Do less poles mean they are slacker and say 5 poles =tight?

Where did you get your option file from mate, I can only find inividual kits.

Where did you download them from?
 
Good news about the kits. I spent hours last year just doing the EPL, which was enough to keep me happy the whole year through.

Being able to update all the kits in seconds, as well as (hopefully) up to date transfers from the get-go, will allow me to jump straight into a Master League. I can then wait patiently for a really good option file.
 
played the full game this morning before I went to work. OMG! feels slower on default speed like -1on the demo also I played full manual. first game man utd against juventus, amazing balance between teams, a lot midfield battles, juve scored in injury time from corner, morata with header. second game I used dortmund against real madrid, set my tactics on gegenpress, belive it or not the game was slower than my first game and was awesome match, totally different than my first one. I`m glad konami realised that giving favor on defenders and making them harder to beat makes the game a lot better. only thing by now i can say that bothers me is colour of the grass, it is like the pitches never seen water during daylight matches. I can`t remember having this much positive opinion about pes since ps2 days. I hope they don`t screw up the gameplay with patches. Hope someone release good option file today with kits etc. :) enjoy guys I think we have something big this year! cheers :)
