PES 2017 PlayStation & Xbox Discussion Thread

For sure!

Let´s take a bet.

I say, it´s gonna be it´s own thing again, probably still running on WIN XP :)

"Its own thing" - Was there really any difference between the PS3-version and the PC-version? Both were sluggish, and that is what annoys me the most (together with the bad graphics and directx9-mode)...

In some of the game's best-selling regions (and some of the only places where PES actually has licenses for their national leagues), next-gen consoles are prohibitively expensive. I've read that Brazil's PES userbase is mostly PS3s and Xbox 360s by far, for example.

There's no way they're cutting those guys off, for the sake of a PC audience that will pirate the game a week after launch (or even before). They're a business, at the end of the day.

The quality of any game would only increase if there were less platforms to release on (and better still if it was only the most powerful platforms). But sadly, that's not going to happen.

They couldn't pirate fifa 16 untill just about last month, konami should invest in good security if they want the sales of pc version to increase, and of course next gen graphics :D

Yeah, that´s what I thought too.
Since PES 2015 I didn´t really dig the ball physics in passing.
It was good in PES 2014, but the last two PES it feels and looks like a bowling ball, that almost never even bobbles.

Doesn´t sit well with me either.
This sounds like as if EA would adress the momentum/scripting in FIFA as a feature :P

We should make the poor ball physics as much of an issue goalkeepers, because currently it seems that Konami and most of the people think its ok when its not. Ball behaviour on passing, like you said, its like a bowling ball, and this is just not right, it ruins the feeling realism on one of the most fundamental aspect of the sport.

I hope we'll get a Next-Gen port for the PC.
But they're answering no questions for the PC version, so we'll probably get a PS3 Port. :(

So enjoy your frustation because i don´t care if they not release the new gen and why? I don´t buy it.

We are about 10 days away from an official pes 2017 video.

I guess they will release a teaser trailer few days before e3.

Small thing I noticed from the screenshots is that the new adidas boots are the PureControl instead of PrimeKnit. New model.

So some previews are saying that in terms of physics and animation PES is better than any sports game on the market.

Now that every person who read that has gathered themselves and stopped laughing, I look forward to seeing actual gameplay so I can quote those previews and laugh some more.
Or maybe be impressed for once? Which is about as likely as PC being the same as next-gen console versions.

I remember suggesting something like controller feedback on fouls and heavy tackles to Adam a while ago on Twitter (maybe 12 months ago) and he liked the idea but I forgot about it after I realised it didn't make it to PES 2016. Sounds like they implemented something like that in PES 2017.

Gameplay impressions are to be taken with a grain of salt so far but I'd be happy if they really have sharpened up the level of detail in gameplay cam. Buzzwords and throwaway adjectives don't do much for me since I've seen it all before but it does sound like a refinement of what they've already got...which might still provide a very enjoyable game if it's been tweaked in the right areas.

That no one said :) but who knows.

They might be showing some gameplay vids it seems.

If Asim said to not believe in rumors when I said to him I was told there wouldnt be any video, then I guess there will have gameplay videos at least

It just sounds weird to me the fact that we might see the game in action before any trailer. Isnt it the other way around (first trailer then gameplay videos) ?

I think Weedens posted a picture of being somewhere for PES and people assumed he was going to have a trailer out within a day. Adam hosed down that speculation. Maybe he's just been allowed to play test the game like the other guys. Obviously they're at an earlier stage of the game than usual so to have a trailer now and not be based on a more complete/polished version of the game could be underselling it.

Either way, keen to hear more impressions from the community guys later as they actually play the game, unlike some of the gaming media who have been given access. Videos would be nice but it won't show all the pros and cons.

Please please tell me the slow mo keeper animations are gone. I did read somewhere about the saves and animaitons being more contextual. I don't think the saves have been the problem, moreso the goals that go in and the keeper looks like he wasn't even trying.

I've read somewhere their urgency has been much improved but I can't rememeber which article.. they're too many!

Haha yeah true that! Like I said, my main gripes with keepers before hasn't always been the goals they let in or which shots they save - moreso how the animation looks awful and you end up nitpicking that rather than appreciating the goal or save. Having keepers come off their line like Neuer does nothing for me if they still fall to their side and roll after the ball has hit the back of the net lol

How could Asim say it's rumors while in the other hand Adam said it in an interview. Adam said they don't want to show videos just yet because they are still adding much more animations during the summer.

Konami will be having community people playing the game across Europe. Today in UK and Germany and tomorrow in Italy for instance.
My point is that surely someone will leak a couple of video footages.

Maybe or maybe not. But more importantly, we might get a more realistic set of expectations based on their feedback as opposed to some of the wishy washy catch phrase based reviews you get with some gaming sites.
